Got my new CPAP machine in October 2024 and Medicare rules were 13 months at $5.76 monthly. During this time we moved from Texas to Indiana and switched Medicare Advantage Plans from Humana to My TruAdvantage. Somehow I got signed into an automatic cc withdrawal of $29 per month. I had gotten confused during the big move, I also got CPAP supplies from them. When I discovered I was overpaying and wanted a refund then my calls were like dealing with a Three Stooges Team, vying to see who could pass me off to someone else the fastest. Numerous attempts were fruitless. It is now with a Grievances Team with my Medicare provider. This was absolutely the worse case of customer service that I have ever encountered. read more

I would recommend not using this company. Frankly, they are very dishonest and extremely rude on the phone. I had a conference call with two of their representatives, my insurance agent, and myself. I was told two different prices. One of the representatives was extremely rude when I requested an itemized statement. The other representative apologized for the rude behavior. After a year of moving to another state & notifying them. I'm still being billed for supplies that are being mailed to my old address. The worst company I have ever had to do business with. I've been on hold for over an hour because you can never reach any one. Called for equipment return on August 19th. No one has come to get the equipment. They continue to charge me. Such a scam this place is. Have to cancel bank card since they continue to charge it. Three months ago I was diagnosed with Apnae and prescribed a Bi-Pap. The company that was supposed to supply it was unable to find one due to supply chain issues. My provider gave me a list of other companies and I called this company and was ASSURED that they had the exact machine I needed and could process the request. I provided the sleep study, insurance authorization, office notes and DME RX to them and was told that it would take a few days to process. TWO MONTHS LATER I am still waiting, and when I call I am promised someone will contact me with an explanation. NOBODY HAS EVER RETURNED MY CALL. read more

After calling 4 different times I finally got my portable E tank after almost 12 days. It's a good thing I had a concentrator and people to run my errands because I was given the run around about when I would receive the refill tanks. On day 12 someone came and was incredibly helpful with supplying new tanks. I sure hope Lincare ownership takes notice of these reviews and corrects these issues. Terrible!!! No response after 11 calls to get my 82 yr old mother who is in congestive heart failure her oxygen tanks refilled. Lots of promises and apologies but still no tanks. Called Lee Peoples who is the rep for Presby Plano and still nothing. This company is charging Medicare $350 a month for services. This company should be investigated with all the terrible reviews. Company was bought out by Lincare. We got our oxygen bottles right away and a concentrator next day. First concentrator was very loud but they replace it very quickly and was fine from then on. Maybe the new ownership has improved things. read more

This review is for the American Home Patient/Lincare Billing system specifically. After using American Home Patient for my CPAP supplies for many years, I have come to believe that they have one of the most dysfunctional billing systems that I have ever experienced. I have, on more than one occasion, received a "overdue" bill, as the initial bill, followed a week later by the initial billing, with the detailed service. They have two different billing departments, one that sends out billing summaries and one that sends out the initial billing, and the problem is compounded by the two billing departments not talking to each other. I am looking for an alternative, and my suggestion is that if you are considering them, that you look elsewhere. read more

AHP's customer service is malignant. Ordered monthly supplies several weeks ago. Checked back to be sure they were sending correct size cpap cushions--they weren't, even though this was corrected on a previous order. Said they would send corrected shipment and a return label--sent the same incorrect sized parts again. Called to correct,CSR said he would resend corrected parts and another return label, would arrive in 3 to 5 days. Called today, about 7 days later, to learn my urgently needed medical supplies had supposedly been ordered yesterday!!, and would arrive in 7-10 days. No recourse, CSR would not let me talk to anyone else, there is no information available on responsible company officers for AHP or Lincare to talk to. This is not the first time I've called back after serious delays in delivery to be told they hadn't made the order in the first place. This is the absolute worst place to order CPAP supplies from. Customer service is consistently rude. I get double charged for the heated tubing EVERY time I order replacement parts and it generally takes me 8-10 months to get the charge removed. And I usually have to call with my insurance provider to be able to get that charge removed. Billing has not clue why the charge is there, but yet they keep sending me bills. Crappy company to deal with. At first they were ok, but then as time goes on you start to fall throw the cracks with them. You become just a number. What put me over the edge is the last call I got from them was my order. I waited for two weeks. I called to see where it was at. After being tranfered 2 times they tell me the order was never put threw and my ins. Is not good with them any more. I have blue cross blue shield. That crap isn't cheap for a family of 4. My wife was hospitalized and required oxygen. I was told to contact them just as she was being discharged about 4:30 in the afternoon. We did call so that they could arrive relatively close to when we arrived at our house. We arrived at 5:30 and had 1 tank of oxygen to last a few hours. They showed up at 10:30 PM. The wife was in panic mode. Now that her health has improved and no longer needs the oxygen and supplies, we can't get them to pick their equipment up. They were to arrive at 7:00 last night. Didn't show and told us to put the items on the front porch if it was after 10:00. Again, they didn't show. Now, they're not returning phone calls to re-schedule. read more

AWFUL Service! Our first experience talking to this company was unprofessional. We called to place an oxygen tank refill order. Got hung up on twice. I couldn't believe it. On the third called the representative answered but, I didn't receive the greeting. Simultaneously, the rep. was on a personal call talking on "SPEAKER PHONE" giving out the ID and email information of her cable company. Once she finished her call... I got acknowledged. On the date of Monday, 01/25/21, she set up for the oxygen to be delivered on Thursday, 01/28/21. Called Thursday afternoon inquiring about the time of delivery. An answering service was available to say, "They will contact the on-call rep. to return my call regarding the route of the driver and when we can expect our delivery." No call, No show! On Friday, 01/29, I called at 8:00 a.m. no answer, called again, no answer. Finally, a live person to take the information and apologize for us not receiving our order and to expect it today. By noon, I called back frustrated and asked to speak with a supervisor. The supervisor said, "He's taking care of it and is making it a priority." We waited for a few more hours and called back. "They said the order would be delivered, " called again, "The driver is on his way, " called again, "The driver will deliver by the end of the day." Their office closes at 5 p.m. I called again. At this time, I spoke with a different supervisor. I express my urgency and dissatisfaction regarding the service. She hung up the phone. Not once, not twice, but 3 TIMES!!! To no avail, we never received the order. Now, the office is close on the weekend. The inconvenience, falsely stated the service is reliable, lack of consideration for the customer, and totally irresponsible. I will report this company to the Better Business Bureau. Inform Cigna Insurance, Baylor Scott and White Hospital, the nurse practitioner as well as, our primary physician. read more

Customer service could not be worse. Customer service does not even exist. I got a letter to call the 800 number. When you call it takes about 30 minutes to get a live person to speak with and they just put you on hold after routing your call to the proper department. Each time I was put on hold I was disconnected. If it happened one or two times I might accept that my phone dropped the call, but as it happened every time, I suspect the problem is on their end. When I got through to the right person without being put on hold, she promised to look into the issue and call me back the next day. That was three days ago and still no call back. Decided to call the local office and was told the person I needed to talk to was at lunch and she would call me as soon as she returned. That was five hours ago. This company absolutely cannot deal with CPAPs. Unless you call them everyday for several weeks you will never receive it. Your mask breaks -- that's another huge huge problem. Absolutely the worst DME company to use. After 6 weeks, I'm still waiting for my face mask for the CPAP. They never return calls. Horrible customer service. For some reason, the respiratory therapist will not return calls. They apparently want to get paid by the insurance (and me 10%) but don't want to do their job. I have worked in the medical field all my life and have never seen anything like this. It has been a nightmare trying to get anyone to take action. My doctor will not be referring any more patient after I told him about everything I have been through with this company. He said that he had numerous complaints from patients. I called American Home Patient 8 times regarding my father humidifier bottle has cracked and leaking plus he needs nasal cannulas. Left 3 messages with answering service the on call technician will call(never rcvd a callback, called the next day another will be placed expect delivery Thursday (no delivery). Called Thursday and spoke with Lillie. She gave me the incorrect number and told me "Lincare" is who the account is with. Called Lincare, rerouted to AHP. Spoke with Brandon who stated he can reorder. Informed him why reorder if I never rcvd 1st order. Request to speak with supervisor, Brandon does not have supervisor ext. However, gave me number to HD. Called HD and transferred 3 times, finally spoke with Virginia, who informed me. The order will delivered the next day and the technician will service the machine. Guess what. No-one came. I called AHP Friday (1/8/2020) office closed. Called answering service she stated my information will be forwarded and to expect a call. No one called! Wish I had read previous post before I went through them. Awful service. Two weeks after starting the process of getting a new machine (first time user) I am told the Doctors office still hasn't sent over the prescription with his NPI number. I have been back and forth. Doctors office says its written on there. I can only speak with the call center for American Home Patient who has to put me on hold to call the local office. Finally they found that it was on there (not to mention you can google a doctor and get the NPI number) so now I am back in the waiting game. Am supposed to get a call back. We'll see... If I had more options and wasn't limited to what my crummy insurance (thanks Obama) chooses for me then I would definitely not use them!!!! 1/20/16 Did not get the call back so I decided to call them again so as to not wait another week. Was told they are still waiting on the prescription. My blood pressure shot through the roof. YOU HAVE THE CORRECT INFORMATION! I was finally sent to the person who is working on my case and she said it was a misunderstanding and they do have the correct information, I can schedule for delivery Thursday (which is tomorrow). Great, I thought, I'm finally getting somewhere. Oh no...then I was told they could only deliver it Monday or Friday to my area and they are booked so I have to wait until next Monday. Also, I would be paying for renting the machine. Once again, blood pressure through the roof. I asked for purchase of the machine, not rental. They said normally insurance would do rental only before purchase but either way they did not check my benefits for purchase so they will have to put it back through insurance and call me back. WHAT. Worst company in the world. Do not use them. American Home Patient based in Houston on Airtex refused to give me a travel concentrator. They said if the doctor ordered one, they would take all of my oxygen equipment (home concentrator and liquid oxygen for emergency power outage), and NOT give it back...that I would then use the small portable trip concentrator (battery operated) from now on. Brittany would not back down over the "out of pocket" charge of $275 rental (which is against the law), and refused to tell me what the $275 was for, even though Medicare told me to ask them. read more

Some people were helpful but in a long run this is a terrible company. My Dr faxed my order on 12/3/2017. I never heard from the company so later in the month I asked my Dr's office to call them. It wasn't until January that anyone started working on my order. I spoke to two customer service reps that recognized someone had dropped the ball. They gave me the customer advocate number. 877-299-2021. I called this number and the person I was speaking to was not even listening to me. She said I needed to be understanding because of the holidays. My response was, no I really don't. Especially when it's now going to cost me $850.00. I told her I would like to be compensated by American Home Patient picking up part of the cost of my order. She started stating that whoever told me they would compensate me was wrong. I had to tell her three times I never said anyone told me I would be compensated. It sounded like she was reading from a script and had no intention of helping me. Terrible company. read more
