The building is clean, orderly, and easy to navigate. Uniforms are required for all students. This school accepts children from all faith backgrounds; however, the school is run under the auspices of a conservative Pentecostal church and the curriculum reflects that (you can kiss accurate science goodbye, basically). The teachers are all professing Christians but they do not all attend the affiliated church (which is attached to the school, by the way). Each teacher seems to really care about the students and their families; contact between parents and teachers is encouraged and fostered. I do not have many positive things to say about the principal. I believe that she does honestly care for the the welfare of the children and their families. However, I have found her to be excessively blunt and just sort of cold. Not one of my favorite people to interact with and never has been. The office staff are extremely sweet and seem to have very cordial relationships with most of the students and their parents.

They are rude and not kind to the students. Many students decided to drop out of the school or class because of the environment around video production. The teachers choose favorites and are cruel to the students they don't like. They act like children themselves when they are supposed to be professional. (example: making racist jokes, sexual jokes, misogynistic jokes, and crossing boundaries with students.) What tickles my fancy about this school is that the graduates come out with marketable skills for jobs! The school also offers job placement! They still can opt for college, of course. When I decided to follow the instructor strategy everything started to come more easier to me. Growth mind set; you must have. Before you do anything, you must adopt ATI strategy test bank, proctor exam, and the assessment on ATI. For each exam you done remediate the one you get wrong and practice again, complete all the focus review, active learning template (on specific content you miss). Look at your transcript and do the remediation on topic you get wrong, when you do all that test yourself to see your improvement, set your goal 85% to 95% on each test. On ATI there's the 3.0 dynamic quizzes where you can practice at least 50 question or more to test yourself start from easy, medium, hard and when you have accomplished a topic on each test create your test to test yourself to see how well you have done, remember to remediate on the one you get wrong. I want to introduce metacognition-the process to think about one's own thinking and learning. Ask yourself: what the assessment asking of me to do, what do I already know, what steps that I need to follow, how much effort I put in. We enrolled our 3-year-old son at Sacred Heart with high hopes for a loving, nurturing Christian…read moreenvironment. Sadly, in under six weeks, our experience became extremely stressful and heartbreaking. From the start, we received repeated negative feedback about normal toddler behaviour. One bathroom accident was described to us as "the worst in six years." We were told his removing his shoes in class (normal in our home) was a problem rather than something to be understood. On his first full day, because he didn't nap, we were encouraged to move him to half days. By the end of the month, his teacher suggested he might be "better off returning next year." Shortly after, we were informed that our son was on "strike 5" due to having more bathroom accidents than the school allows. This was devastating especially because he had just undergone umbilical hernia surgery and was on a doctor-prescribed daily laxative, which caused temporary loss of bowel control. Once we realized how serious it had become, we immediately provided doctor's notes and full transparency. Instead of compassion, we felt pressure and judgment. Our son began feeling uncomfortable approaching staff when he needed help, which no child especially at this age should ever feel. We did not choose to withdraw him. We felt pushed out by policies that allowed no grace for a child healing from surgery. The emotional toll on our family was overwhelming. A faith-based school should lead with patience, understanding, and care. Sadly, that was not our experience. I share this so other parents can make an informed decision.
