We just moved from the DC metro area to the Emerald Coast of sunny Florida and had no idea when our last oil change was because we had to have the glass replaced due to pings on the thousand-mile drive down with over 275K on the odometer. The A/C also went out because our DC mechanic said our 2007 model Ford's entire A/C system had to be replaced at cost of over $1,500 due to leaks. I saw the sign for the 25% Military Discount on my way home from work on a Thursday at the Gulf Breeze American Fast Lube on HWY 98 so I pulled in after receiving my first paycheck, knowing it was going to be expensive--maybe even over $1,500 if I had to replace the A/C. The lead oil technician Riley greeted me promptly and thanked me for my service, but by law I had to come back on Friday before 2 pm when the ASE certified mechanic would be on duty to address the Freon and A/C issues. I returned to American Lube Fast around 1:45 that Friday and Riley informed me that the ASE certified mechanic and manager Tracy was awaiting my arrival to take care of my A/C situation. Tracy immediately went to work and added dye to determine any A/C system leaks, but found only the two check valves were shot and replaced them for FREE! After recharging the Freon and pressure checks for an A/C basic service cost of only $170, no dye was visible--saving me the expensive headache of $1,500 to replace the A/C system! Another 5 minutes later I got the full synthetic high mileage oil change for $75 and an additional high mileage treatment for $20. By this time, I was so impressed and happy with the level of exceptional service, I asked what else they could do for me today before I bring in my wife's antique Mazda Miata for similar treatment. They replaced the old oversize oil plug with a better self-tapping core removeable model, restored my headlights (they were nasty dull and now shine clear as the sun!), and showed me where I would need future valve cover gasket and oil pan replacement due to a little oil seepage. My old but well-maintained 2007 Ford SUV now has cold (60-degrees!) A/C blasting, synthetic oil to last me until October, shiny headlamps, non-leaking oil plug, and a top-off of all fluids for under $400 with all the discounts! You can bet I'll be bringing my wife's car in next and will keep American Lube Fast Gulf Breeze as my oil change and A/C repair "go-to" location in the Pensacola region! read more

I've been going here lately to get my oil changed because it is on my way home from work. Every time I stop in here I've never had to wait more than 2 minutes max. They are always incredibly quick and really professional. They tell you if they spot an issue but aren't pushy about you taking care of it at all. On one occasion I had a coupon but it was expired, but the manager gave me the discount anyway. This kind of stuff goes a long way. One of the best perks of this business is they do free top offs of oil in between oil changes. My car has a slow oil leak, so instead of wasting money on oil I just stop by here and get a quart of oil topped off every month or so, in and out in less than 5 mins no questions asked. This time, it was another employee, named Preston and I'm glad to say the service is consistently amazing! He still recommended the same oil I used last time, reminding me that it wasn't that much more than regular. He gave me the promised discount from the last visit. Checked in the warmth of the waiting room, and asked if it was warm enough, or needed some changes. I actually was planning to go to a further place for oil change, but I'm glad I came back. We called on Friday, June 4, 2021 to inquire about an oil change for our car, a Ford Expedition. We were informed that the business would be open on Saturday, June 5, and that they could take care of our oil change at 8:00 am when they opened. We told Matt, your employee, that we would be there at 8:00 am for the required oil change. We arrived at 7:52 am and waited for 45 minutes. No one ever showed up and there was no one answering your phone. When we passed your business on our way out of Gulf Breeze two hours later, we noticed your business was still closed. Got an oil change with an unprofessional staff that was messing around while the service was being done. My check engine light came on later that same day. After taking it to another shop, THEY DID NOT PUT IN OIL!!! I was out $260 total and missed my car for over a day of my vacation. The regional manager, Aaron, was a complete joke about getting my "refund." No one reached out for a week, and it took me calling dozens of times to get anywhere. I finally got a "refund" check three months later, but they refused to refund the original oil change price because "I had to pay for something." Corporate customer service was also a joke. I was having some issues using the air pump at the gas station co located and one of the men walked over and started to help. Went and had my oil changed 12/14/18 here and during the change the cap to my oil filter accidentally got broken. The tech was very apologetic and I don't feel it was his fault. However he was unable to secure a replacement part until the next day. So I had to leave my vehicle and get a Lyft ride home at my expense. The next morning my vehicle was fixed quickly and I wasn't charged for the part. However was originally quoted the full price for the oil change of $69. I made a comment about the inconvenience and the tech gave me 10%. Hardly enough for the inconvenience. What if I was going out of town......my entire trip would have been delayed. I just don't feel like the resolution was enough for the inconvenience I was caused. And will likely never return to an American Lube because I'm unsatisfied. Told my mother she needed her timing belt changed and that they could do it for her for a good price while she was in for an oil change. Luckily she only had a bit of cash on her, because her 2016 Honda Civic DOESN'T EVEN HAVE A TIMING BELT! This is shameful manipulation and attempted deception on an older woman with no car knowledge. I used to go here for years last time I went a couple of months back they lost my drain plug and put a Bolt and a washer in place of it they didn't even bother to tell me luckily for me when the oil drain out I was in front of the Chevrolet deale where they sold me a new drain plug and new oil and check my engine over for damage there was none this time however this kind of clumsy work can cost you a new engine.
