The staff quickly assessed my condition and the doctor saw me immediately. Dr. Lucas's care and compassion for the distress I was experiencing were genuine. I was sent straight to the emergency room without any further delay. The staff helped me with the paperwork, provided a wheelchair, and wished me well. I felt like a person who was heard. I wasn't a number or a nuisance. Turns out I was very lucky to have landed in ER when I did. I had hypoxia and my oxygen level was low and going down-82%. An acute respiratory event attributed to phlegm or saliva that I aspirated into my left lung when coughing and choking. The warning signs I ignored: 1. Pay attention to your breathing. If you start to only shallow breathe, something may be wrong. 2. Take the time to clear your lungs with deep yawns. If you can't yawn without coughing or choking, something may be wrong. 3. Lastly, if eating brings on spasms of coughing and/or choking, something is definitely wrong. Seek help from a pulmonologist.

Told me won't need x-ray just wait for it to heal. Didn't check on the sprained wrist or anything just gave verbal advice. Our interaction lasted 5 minutes. Doctor was rude about it too. Wouldn't recommend to come here.

I went around 3:30 on a Tuesday, so it definitely wasn't their busy time. I finished my registration around 3:39, was taken back to speak to the nurse by 4:15, seen by the doctor by 4:20, and left by 4:21. I was amused by how the doctor pretty a much just told me that he was sending a new prescription to my pharmacy and then left, but really there wasn't much else for him to do because I already gave the nurses all my information. All the staff were friendly and attentive! I know that a lot of lower reviews mention long waits, and a shift of patient priority, but I feel like that's just the nature of being in some type of emergency room, especially when it's busy. Luckily I did not have the issue and was able to get in and out within 45 minutes.

This place was a waste of our time.... As much as I would hate to use the ED for my child (because…read moreI believe ED visits are made for those who are severely sick), I should've just taken my child to the ED. This place provided false advertisement on their website. Their website clearly says they offer X-Rays. Hence why I took my child here. Maybe they should re-advertise their website to say, "xray referral available - no actual xray to be completed here." An African female person walked in. Didn't introduce herself or her title. I just sat there quietly watching and listening... I'm an rn myself, & this is definitely not how any medical professional should be. No physical assessment, just questions, then she asked my son to squeeze her hands... we're not here for a loss of function, we're here because he's in pain. I was expecting maybe some kind of diagnostic testing... what we can't see physically, an xray can probably can and then if needed, more diagnostic testing can be ordered... After the appointment, my son said "I don't know muscle pain can transfer from one arm to another but what do I know, I'm just a 11 year old kid." I only found out that she was a NP after my son and I left the office. We got his office visit summary texted to us. Anyhow, I should've read the Yelp reviews. They offered NO X-RAYS here. When I asked the receptionist, she was quick to answer no and to shut the glass window. If you're that afraid of people getting you sick, I think you should reconsidered a new occupation and be more afraid of your acne popping or oozing pus at the clients standing in front of you.... Glad to say, we'll never be back at this location.

Probably one of the worst experiences in urgent health care I have had. You go to an urgent care…read morefor quick specialty care. I went in, there were no patients they said. I had to check in on an Ipad then after that 3 minutes i was asked most of the same information - why even type it in for them - customers/patienta doing the work while the staff watch you doing their job. But wait it gets better after sitting for 10 minutes, a lot of giggling and laughing and shuffling everyone dressed to Covid level a finally get around to a room and told someone will be right with you. Your would think "right with you" tell you then someone is coming immediately. Urgent Care should be fast - that's why it's called urgent care. 10 minutes later same person takes vitals and tries to understand what the medications are - not my job to educate on what each is for i am just listing them and she wants to know what they are for after I mentioned just take the list. . She should know - this was like her with a video game tablet laughing and giggling while trying to find and spell these meds. And saying sorry 16 times f Inexperienced staff. Students and not very professionals here learning. Then another 15 minute wait for an unsure PA student comes in with a timid personality To ask the same questions as before - that's 3x on same answered again for staff members the answers were asking. Felt like this was a game in a place of getting your job done - not serious at all. Like my pain did not matter at all level 8. I asked for the provider - she said she would get him. I waited 8 minutes. While waiting, I called my primary doctor and they had an opening. 30 minutes after walking out of the room my primary doctor has me cared for an on my way and in my way home already. All handled by professionals. Now this is not normal with my primary but given what I have already been through they got me in very quick - This organization is not a patient focused facility it's a teaching facility as the staff are less expensive. They can slow walk staff through their training. There was so much about everything else but patient care and handling it expeditiously a lot of hoops for crappy health care. Sending in students into an irritable guy on pain and a small burn on his toe. All they care about is sending in student after student to get information - by then you may as well go home. It's not worth your time for crappy healthcare. I have heard this before within the community. If you watch everything goes on while your are there - so many people and the lack of confidence from the staff I am seeing, means I can't be confident that Modern will serve the communities needs of urgent care for the community in Manteca. Would not recommend under any circumstances as they may leave you to wait for all the students and inexperienced staff treat an urgent issue......change my mind

The reason for my visit to CMC was to seek help for the first time via therapy. The person I was assigned to Timothy started this off by canceling our in person visit hours before its scheduled time. I decided to do a phone consultation to get the process started but it was already an extremely poor start. While on the phone there was non stop background noise TV, child, responding to unknown things on his end. When I asked he said "I'm at home there will be noises" totally dismissive and un professional. I wanted to commit to this new process so I took an in person meeting with him. First impression was that he was tired and unkept and preoccupied mentally. Second visit I walk in and he has his head down hunched over his phone and took about 20-30seconds to acknowledge I was even in the room. Same tired and unkept unprofessional demeanor. And he also added to me "it's one of those days". While I understand everyone has one when you are in the role Of helping people with their issues putting yours onto them seems an extremely off putting and un professional. Hours before what would have been our next session. I show up early to find out the session had once again been canceled by Timothy. They did reach out via phone call. I had missed it how ever another same day cancellation was it for me. The person at the front desk helped set me up with a new counselor. That I look forward to working with. I don't have any experience with therapy so I won't comment on Timothy approach this in regards to his disrespectful level of unprofessional behavior.

I was very impressed with the organization of the staff and care. Everyone was busy and professional. They all just did their jobs and nobody was complaining or looking unhappy. It took a little while for the exam and stitches and discharge and they apologized for the amount of time. I felt that even though my injury was an emergency, I was treated in an appropriate time frame and I'm sure there were way worst illnesses and injuries than mine. I received messages to make sure I had follow up care which I had already arranged with my primary doctor. Although I certainly hope I will have no reason for a return ER visit, it was a positive experience.

Yes, they have drawn blood and run some tests, but the overall experience has been absolutely horrible. When you bring a seriously ill cancer patient to an emergency department, waiting eight-plus hours with little sense of urgency, communication, or compassion is unacceptable. I understand that emergency rooms triage patients based on severity and that hospitals get busy. But there is a point where "we're busy" stops being an adequate explanation. Patients and families deserve communication, reasonable updates, and some confidence that their loved one isn't simply being forgotten in a waiting room. I saw afterward that this hospital has extremely poor online reviews, and unfortunately, after experiencing it ourselves, I understand why. The entire experience has felt disorganized, frustrating, and completely lacking in the level of care and communication you expect from a hospital. Almost 8 1/2 hours in an ER with a cancer patient is unacceptable. St. Joseph's needs to seriously address its emergency department staffing, patient flow, communication, and overall patient experience. I would not recommend this ER based on what we experienced tonight.
