Probably one of the worst experiences in urgent health care I have had. You go to an urgent care for quick specialty care. I went in, there were no patients they said. I had to check in on an Ipad then after that 3 minutes i was asked most of the same information - why even type it in for them - customers/patienta doing the work while the staff watch you doing their job. But wait it gets better after sitting for 10 minutes, a lot of giggling and laughing and shuffling everyone dressed to Covid level a finally get around to a room and told someone will be right with you. Your would think "right with you" tell you then someone is coming immediately. Urgent Care should be fast - that's why it's called urgent care. 10 minutes later same person takes vitals and tries to understand what the medications are - not my job to educate on what each is for i am just listing them and she wants to know what they are for after I mentioned just take the list. . She should know - this was like her with a video game tablet laughing and giggling while trying to find and spell these meds. And saying sorry 16 times f Inexperienced staff. Students and not very professionals here learning. Then another 15 minute wait for an unsure PA student comes in with a timid personality To ask the same questions as before - that's 3x on same answered again for staff members the answers were asking. Felt like this was a game in a place of getting your job done - not serious at all. Like my pain did not matter at all level 8. I asked for the provider - she said she would get him. I waited 8 minutes. While waiting, I called my primary doctor and they had an opening. 30 minutes after walking out of the room my primary doctor has me cared for an on my way and in my way home already. All handled by professionals. Now this is not normal with my primary but given what I have already been through they got me in very quick - This organization is not a patient focused facility it's a teaching facility as the staff are less expensive. They can slow walk staff through their training. There was so much about everything else but patient care and handling it expeditiously a lot of hoops for crappy health care. Sending in students into an irritable guy on pain and a small burn on his toe. All they care about is sending in student after student to get information - by then you may as well go home. It's not worth your time for crappy healthcare. I have heard this before within the community. If you watch everything goes on while your are there - so many people and the lack of confidence from the staff I am seeing, means I can't be confident that Modern will serve the communities needs of urgent care for the community in Manteca. Would not recommend under any circumstances as they may leave you to wait for all the students and inexperienced staff treat an urgent issue......change my mind read more

This was my first time here. Took my son in on a Sunday morning, 3 days before Christmas, as a walk-in. To my surprise, this Urgent care was empty! We were the only ones inside. I was really trying to avoid waiting hours in a ER waiting room. I called to check if they take Kaiser and yes they do! Another plus! Check-in was easy. The kiosk was pretty easy to follow. We didn't have to wait long after checking in. We were seem always right away. The only thing that took awhile was getting test results back for upper respiratory infections. The front desk staff were attentive & friendly. The MA was very patient and nice too. Liz Kepley, PA-C took care of my son and she was very thorough. Super nice! Made my son feel real comfortable. She explained the difference in medication to me. She was soft spoken to my son and was very gentle with him too! Very happy mama here! I like that this location is right across from Kaiser Hospital. So if the urgent care couldn't help, we would just need a short drive across the road to the hospital. Definitely would come back here & recommend this Urgent to others in need! read more

The biggest issue now is the imbalance between staff and physicians--there are plenty of people working the front, but not enough medical providers actually seeing patients. Appointments don't seem to matter; you'll still be waiting at least an hour, either in the lobby or in a room. Recently, my wife had to return two days in a row after being misdiagnosed during her first visit. Unfortunately, her symptoms have only worsened. This kind of experience is frustrating and concerning, especially when you're relying on urgent care for timely, accurate medical attention. read more

Yesterday, my son (21 years old) and went to the Manteca location. I had a 6pm appointment. Arrived at 5:50pm. His sciatic nerve was flaring up. The person at the front desk, I believe the gentleman's name was Francisco asked for my son's ID and insurance card, my insurance card states the copay for UC is $20. The gentleman was very snippy. Said that I had to realize the copay for doctor's office visit and UC are different. If I wanted my son to be seen I would have to pay $135.00. And I was told my son has not met his deductible yet. I gave him my ATM. And was told to wait to be called. I did not argue. I immediately called my insurance company. I asked if the UC was in network. They were. I was advised by my insurance company that the deductible does not apply in this case. The copay was $20.00. The insurance representative was very sweet and asked to speak to the gentleman. He is completely rude to her as well but she set him straight. He said that he would have to call the higher ups to see if I could get a refund. Then, while I was talking to the representative again, I overheard the gentleman say, "OMGOD, is so-and-so there?!" I ignored it. I went back into the exam room to be with my son. About 10 minutes later, the gentleman came in and said that it was my insurance's fault because their portals were not updated. And he refunded me the $115.00 owed to me. I thanked him. We have the exact same insurance since September 2006! It irritates me that I feel he did not take the time to even look at the insurance card. Also, I have a medical insurance background. I did not fall of a turnip truck. I can read an insurance card. What if I did not have the $135.00? My son would not have been seen. I think the company banks on the sickness and desperate need to see a doctor. The PA was wonderful. She was very attentive and caring. It is a shame, the face of the office is rude and apparently doesn't like his job. I would go back there but be on my toes about what they charged me. read more

We live in Tracy and trying to find an urgent care that accepts our insurance. Thankfully looked on yelp for somewhere closer than Stockton and saw great and relieving reviews. Called and they picked up right away so that I can if they accept our insurance and thank God, they do. Very polite upon answering the phone. Arrived a little after 10, staff very welcoming. Waiting area clean. No one was there. No more than a 5 minute wait and they put us in a room. Clean rooms. MD came in no more than 10min wait, wonderful bedside manner. Gave her all info she needed and she directed us to go to ER because of my son's condition. Explained what could be going on with him and stated we should certain tests done which they weren't able to perform. Gave my son meds and a note of what all was done to give ER. Would most definitely come back here for Urgent Care. Recommended. read more

We came to this urgent care as my symptoms for a viral were becoming really severe and they tested for COVID, Flu, and strep throat. We waited in the room for about an hour after they collected the swabs. When Dr. Tanisha finally attended us she asked the same questions the nurses asked and I had already repeated my symptoms to 3 different people at that point. She then said I tested positive for the flu and we asked if she could prescribe any strong medication that would control my symptoms as I've been sick for over a week. She then told me that I just have to treat my symptoms with Tylenol and Ibuprofen, rest, and drink fluids. She was very unsympathetic as well and shut down any requests we had for medication she could prescribe without even hearing us out. They then gave me cough drops which we had already had, and said they prescribed a medication to help with my symptoms. We didn't even know what I was prescribed until we went to the pharmacy and it turned out to be a generic for Flonase which literally treats none of the symptoms I was complaining about. We're super disappointed, this visit was a waste of time, energy, and money. read more

I think all staff needs re-training again... I took my 1yr to be evaluated here which I have took all my other children for years. For Kaiser Patients If States in InActive in the computer per protocol is to call to double check if Active as I been told before in the past. She simply handed me a printed Inactive paper I asked if she can call and she stated no. Unfortunately if you would like to be seen you will have to pay the upfront consult in cash and deal with your insurance later. read more

I went there for my son for ear pain and this urgent care was empty. There was only one patient before me and Once he was seen, I had to wait for an hour to be seen even though I made an appointment. They only saw me when I was about to walk out because I believe everyone's time is precious. I understand if it's busy but when they only have one or two patients, it should not take nearly two hours to get treatment. I am also an health care worker and know how Long these things should take. I would like the business owner to train their staff to care and see patients timely. Please tell your staff not to be on their laptops and respect your patient's time. Patients come to your urgent care for good care and it should be provided. We went there with severe sickness me and my son. They did a COVID and flue test. We had the flue A virus as the doctor suggested. We tried so many over the counter cough medicine and all garbage...we made it very clear to the lady provider as she introduced herself, that we need a prescribed cough medicine. We went to Walmart to get it, we discovered that she prescribed over the counter regular cough medicine that I can get without the hassle of waiting and tested for nothing! Modern Urgent care has been very helpful for me since the beginning of the pandemic. When you call, there is always someone that answers the phone. There's nothing I hate more than calling a medical office and receiving a voicemail. I was also connected to the physician immediately over the phone who answered all my questions and told me to go ahead and come to the clinic right away. I went in to get swabbed for strep and to cover all bases, they also offered me both Covid and Flu tests as well. They were able to see me right away. I didn't even have to enter the building. They came out to me to swab me and I was done in less than a minute. Within an hour my results were emailed to me. Very quick and efficient. I will be recommending this place to family and friends if they are ever in need of seeking immediate (non emergency) care. read more

I'm glad they took my health plan of San Joaquin medi-cal insurance because it was hard to find any place in Tracy that took it. Great fast service that accepted my insurance. We had the unfortunate opportunity to deal with Jackson Fraser. He was so unprofessional while dealing with my sick child. He condescending and rude not only to my wife but my child. He had no understanding how a kid could be fine in the morning then be sick in the afternoon. He was rude and disrespectful we will not return to this place. We only went here because our child's normal doctor didn't have an appointment and we don't wait when our children are sick. read more

Okay. Thank you. I honestly highly recommend you search for a different physician/provider for this facility. My son was diagnosed wrongfully. Period. There's no grey areas. Tracy Sutter diagnosed my son with influenza A, RSV-respiratory related & Ammonia. He was diagnosed the following day with those symptoms & not by Your practice. There's no excuse & no explanation on wrongfully diagnosing a patient. A child. We will not be returning & like I said I highly do not recommend anyone go to this Urgent Care in Manteca. I took my 4 month old son here yesterday for the first time and it was not a great experience after they "accidentally" gave my 4 month old ibuprofen instead of Tylenol. As a first time mother I was livid but more with myself because I had a gut feeling and didn't go with it thinking they should know better than I do. Ugh! They didn't!! When the doctor came in she explained what my son had and it wasn't until we asked her about meds given to my son that she said (didn't apologize) she had given the okay to give Tylenol not ibuprofen but that the young lady in the front thought she said ibuprofen. The positive was that you didn't have to wait long but from the phone call to the visit - not a good experience! The young lady in the front told me to come in for a 2pm appointment they had available and when I arrived the young man in the front said I never made an appointment because it had to be online. Awareness!! Don't be afraid to ask questions and to go with your "parent gut" !!!! I felt the guilt instantly and just kept an eye on my son, no sleep just to make sure he was good/okay. read more

Modern Urgent Care attempts to come off like a professional place but instead is full of a bunch of unprofessional millennials and young kids who don't know how to not be on their phones and laughing and giggling to each other when people come in with real problems. They don't take all insurances and WARNING TO ALL FEDERAL EMPLOYEES- they won't take our Federal benefits for some weird reason despite the fact that we are likely some of the best insured demographics they get.
