I called ahead before coming in because I had 14 catalytic converters from AMA road racing bikes that I was planning to scrap. I specifically asked what documentation would be required. I was told to bring proof of replacement parts purchased and that everything would be handled in the office. Based on that information, I drove to the location. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. Instead of handling the transaction as discussed, I was immediately accused of stealing the converters and told I needed receipts for the aftermarket parts installed on the bikes. I showed proof of purchase on my phone and explained that I had been told I could email the receipts once I arrived. At that point I was told that emailing them was not acceptable and that I needed to go print them out myself, and that a police report might be filed. Wanting to resolve the situation properly, I left, drove to UPS, paid to print the receipts, and returned to the store. When I came back with the printed receipts -- exactly what I had been told to do -- I was then told the receipts were "no good" and they still could not accept the converters. At that point it became clear that my time meant nothing. This entire process resulted in a waste of my time, gas, money, and my team's time, and the way the situation was handled felt unnecessarily degrading. Businesses should operate with clear and consistent communication. If customers are told what documentation is required and go out of their way to provide it, the requirements should not suddenly change. Because of this experience, I will be advising others in the motorcycle community to avoid this location. I'm involved with riders and instructors through organizations like Motorcycle Safety Foundation and AMA racing circles, and I will absolutely be warning people to stay away from this business and any location operating under this brand. I hope management sees this review and looks into how customers are being treated here. This situation could have been handled much more professionally. read more

The scale guy is a scrub. He think he has knowledge and said we wouldn't be able to take stuff out of or truck. Guess what we did. Then proceed to cheap out on costs. The forklift driver was not skilled and wrecked our truck rail. And a ford maverick isn't a truck. read more

I drive by here all the time, but never really paid attention. Now I know what this is. It's a scrap yard. They pay for scrap (mostly metal). In my case I had a dead water heater to get rid of. It doesn't pay a lot, but it's still about $8 for something I would otherwise probably have to pay to have hauled away. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I will definitely come here again if I have scrap to dispose of. And they're open Saturday till 1pm read more

Stay away! Rude, ignorant and condescending. You try to do a good thing by recycling only to get a lecture (and with attitude) on how you are not sorting metals properly, that there a 100 different types of this or that. They expect us to be the experts? I thought that was their job. I've been there a few times only out of convenience and got the same crappy attitude every time but I have stopped going. I found it a good experience. Easy to unload cans, gentleman in the office was pleasant and friendly. If there was anything to import earlier it Wii's be to raise higher the sign where to park for cans. But I left with money that normally had gone in my Tuesday recycle bin to the city. read more

Do not waste your time here. Gave me .39 for cans which seemed odd as I left I called another yard and they were giving .60. So not only did they short me I had to deal with an attitude that wasn't warranted . You don't like your job , find another don't be a dirtbag to strangers , it doesn't help business. The only reason I gave 2 stars was because of the outside worker who was actually nice and pleasant. The manager inside is a TOTAL A$$H0LE - arrogant doesn't even cover this dude's attitude. Looks like he took customer training from Wal-Mart with how I was treated. He actually made me feel if as though I was a criminal because I wanted to recycle metal and I had receipts. The only good part was his knowledge of competitors and warning me of ensuring that their scales are certified by the state. Find another place to recycle, unless you like an arrogant guy treating you as a criminal looking into cashing in some cans and scrap for the yard. read more

Good experience. Man who did the weighing was very informative and helpful. Pretty sure I got a fair price. I will return but probably hit up their Mesa location since it's a bit closer. Inquired about field trips for kids and they said they do offer them. They take all metals and even said they'd take a evap motor, microwaves etc. Need to scrounge around the house and collect all my junk metal and take it in. read more

I visited this location over a year ago and swore I'd never come back. I recently tried to give them another shot because the location is convenient for me. The taller guy running the counter is extremely rude and short with you. I don't understand how he is still employed there. I had a mixed load of scrap and he asked me how I wanted to divide it up. I told him, and then I got a lecture on how they buy over 100 types of metals and I was going to be there a long time sorting it. Otherwise I could pay them to sort it. I had to sit on the scale for 5-10 mins each time to be weighed out. Prices paid are a joke... .02 cents dirty steel .05 cents for cast iron .30 cents for clean aluminum .02 cents for dirty aluminum and .50 for aluminum cans. All prices per pound. I'll find another scrap yard to deal with. read more

We just took in some assorted cables and car batteries and I was surprised on just how well this business is ran! Nick here and his help were VERY informative on how all the scrap buisness should be done HONESTLY! Everything was shown on the scale and the prices fair! I made the mistake taking a few times elsewhere and no doubt got ripped off since that busiess never asked for ID or showed me the scale etc. I highly recommend this company for a honest price and friendly service! I visited the place with 460 lbs. of mostly iron, but also a radiator, and some plumbing parts. The place has a number of confusing signs; in spite of my effort I was told first about parking in the employee parking place (even I parked far away of the employee parking sing) there is huge area all around available. The office person ask me if I want the stuff separated, I have to do it myself, otherwise he would have to charge me for his time. I asked about how do I know how they want the items separated. He stated that I can take a mixed rate, without separation with a help to unload my stuff. Out of frustration, I agreed to just dump it all at one place without separation. After returning to the office I received $21.39, what was described on my receipt as "Appliances/Dirty Sheet" rate. I did not bring any appliances there at all. I stated, that the money I have received were not worth of my trip there. I don't feel like returning to place like that again. What a strange customer service!!! Contrary to the office manager, the young employee who help me unload the junk was total opposite of the office person. read more

Absolutely ridiculous. I tell the guy I'm new to the scrap industry and he goes off how I have 7 different Aluminum's together and they have to be separated. I don't mind getting advice or being corrected but when I tell you I'm new there's no need to bark rudely. Thing is I asked what kinds there were and 7 turned to 2 different kinds when needing to explain. Then him and another person working start arguing about what's considered a motor and what isn't. The guy who was "helping" me then "shhhh's" the other guy cause what he's saying would get me paid more/ I went there with a truck FULL inside and out with NO STEEL and walked out with $20. read more
