But at Neis, I was told to go to the website and find the info there, then was told to look at my paperwork that was sent in the mail (which I didn't get). Clearly she did not want to help me. There actually was a discount that I had not received the prior year. It's important to follow up with your agency when your premium goes up. And people do make mistakes. I asked for the manager to talk to them about this, and she said she was the manager. So I had no recourse but to put a poor review on their website. They took it off. If I had just received an, I'm so sorry and an apology for the agents behavior, I would not have written this review. I understand that Dave is very good there, so I suggest if you want to work with them, work with Dave.

This delay has lead us to pay multiple penalties to the US and state governments since we owed money and it wasn't filed on time. When she finally does decide to reply it's one excuse after another - vacations, slow seasons, busy season, lack of staff. Her negligence cost us time, a lot of money and stress!!! I emailed and called Barbara, she did not reply/return calls. I had to physically go to the office to get a response, which was her sitting behind a desk in a separate room and attempting to yell to me she did the taxes right, the IRS must be wrong. She said the First Time Homebuyer Credit from 2008 was waived by the government and I don't need to pay it at all - WRONG! I have finally gotten through to the IRS by phone now on June 4 and have confirmed Barbara Glanz did my taxes incorrectly. Why did I pay $225 to have my taxes done by a professional, if she does not know the correct tax laws? If it weren't for my own research after the letter arrived, I'd be doing something illegal thanks to Barbara Glanz. She refuses to refund the money we paid her and refuses to research the laws she claims to know. This should stand as a huge warning to anyone looking into a new tax accountant. Glanz & Associates is NOT the business for you if you want your taxes handled correctly. I am filing a BBB claim once a new IRS letter confirming the taxes were done wrong is sent to me shortly, so that I have paper evidence for the claim.
