To have repeated emails of different sets all times to be told none are in stock. There was no inquiry on your behalf to even help trying to guide me to ones where I could potentially even know what I could choose considering how many are in the catalog like finding a needle in a haystack. Expectation from my initial email could have been set initially by you in setting the expectation of which options to choose from rather than multiple emails back and forth of no no no and time wasted. I asked when the earliest would be to plan on making a purchase hoping for something right after Christmas no response just an up sale of a more expensive model. Mind you you said you would be placing another order soon and even said you could order almost anyone I wanted. But instead I got an out of stock email and no response to a time frame. The instructor ended up holding the younger child almost the entire class, and my daughter was basically left standing in the corner being ignored most of the time. By the end of class she started crying, which honestly I think was because she felt ignored and uncomfortable. We tried bringing her back again after that, and now she completely refuses to do the class. She went from loving swim lessons and being excited for the water to now being scared of it. Honestly it feels like the experience traumatized her around water. What made the experience even more frustrating was trying to cancel after this happened and being told we'd still be charged for the rest of the month. Really disappointed overall.

Sloppy Workmanship Concrete & deck - The joints are visibly misaligned and the pool deck slopes in places. When I asked for this to be fixed or compensated, they offered a token $400 credit against what I estimate to be a $2,000 mistake--after we had already spent nearly $30k in additional concrete work. Their response? "Our margins are already so low." That's not my problem. It felt dismissive and manipulative. Fence - To meet code, we had to reverse the swing of our fence door. The contractor they sent left a mess--cutting the door unevenly and leaving a large gap. The fact that I even have to spend my time following up on this speaks volumes about their quality control (or lack thereof). Heater install - They installed the pool heater with no condensate line, so water spilled directly onto the concrete deck and left stains (photo attached). I had to chase them down just to get that fixed. Their "fix" was running giant exposed PVC lines across the deck. And now the unit is leaking again. Pool finish - The plaster work is uneven, with rough, jagged steps and visible spots of chipped gunite. You can feel it every time you get in the pool. 2. Disorganized and Disruptive Crews Scheduling was a total mess. Crews either didn't show up on scheduled days or showed up unannounced. One morning we woke up to find the owner tearing out our landscaping to lay skid boards for the bobcat. This was never even discussed. During excavation, the bobcat tore through our irrigation system, flooding our front yard. Despite multiple follow-ups, the issue was never fully fixed--and still leaks to this day. We often felt like pushing harder for resolution would jeopardize our relationship or our warranty. That's not how a customer should feel. We have email after email where we're left chasing basic updates: "What time tomorrow?" "Actually, he can't make it; we'll reach out in a day or two." 3. Condescending Customer Service Any time we raised concerns, we were met with either silence or thinly veiled condescension. The concrete credit negotiation was especially frustrating--using their internal cost pressures as a reason not to fairly address our complaint. When we brought up the heater runoff issue, the response was to "come take a look sometime"... and then nothing. Radio silence. Bottom Line We spent over six figures and ended up with: * uneven concrete * stained decking * a leaking heater * rough, unfinished plaster * a broken irrigation system * and a pile of ignored emails If you care at all about quality, communication, or customer service--do yourself a favor and go with someone else.

The only items that broke are 3 of my 4 pumps but they lasted more than average. Replaced jet pump in 2013, waterfall pump in 2015, salt chlorinator in 2016 and pool sweep booster in 2019. The control panel still works but I plan to upgrade to a newer model with better remote control. I think the dual skimmer design may have helped with the longetivity of my pump besides making sure they are shaded during the triple digit summer heat. Don't pay attention to the one-star reviews that dragged down the overall rating. Read them carefully and they are all petty complaints. Courage Pools is a premium and the best in the county. If you want to pay more for lesser quality go with the other companies especially the acronym PP.

There isn't enough chairs so most people have to sit on the hot cement along with all their personal items. As far as the pool goes, everyone is crammed in a designated area, meanwhile, there is a large roped off section that is just for the giant blow up obstacle course, which btw, is used only by a few people and often times no one is in that area at all! To better utilize this space, this giant blow up could be taken down and removed. This area could then be opened up to extend the pool space and help to alleviate some of the mass over crowding. Side note, the slide is a fun idea but not used by the masses. That's another smaller space that is roped off and cannot be used. There is potential here for the aquadic center to be so much better!

We enrolled our 5- and 7-year-olds, but the team did not release practice times until after the deadline for a full refund had already passed. When the schedule was finally shared, practices were quite late on school nights--later than other teams in the league--and simply not reasonable for young kids. Because of this, we had to withdraw before the season even started. While the team did follow their written policy and issued a 50% refund, we still lost $390 despite never using the program. What feels unacceptable is that families are required to commit financially before being given critical information like practice times. There was also no flexibility offered, even though we withdrew well in advance and there was a waitlist for our age group. I strongly recommend waiting until practice schedules are released before registering, as you may not be able to get your money back if the schedule doesn't work for your family.

My early instructor was careless and lacked compassion and empathy for those who were afraid of the water. I nearly drown in his class and that solidified my fear. Many years later I have had the good fortune to find Joe. He is exactly the opposite of that early instructor and is the sort of teacher and person I need to help me to become the skillful swimmer I hope to be. Just one class in and I was loving being in the pool and experienced a sense of increased confidence. With Joe's guidance I became comfortable and confident in keeping my head nicely submerged while kicking half way down the length of the pool. This was extraordinary for someone with intense fear of the water. I am very eager for more classes because I know that I am so much closer to achieving my swimming goals.
