I appreciate how many lifeguards were on duty! I also love how the Pool gradually gets deeper like a beach! They had music and lots of good energy!

This pool is epic. $150 for a family of 4 for the whole summer. Shheeeesh that's one day at sunsplash. It's clean, professional and a whole vibe. Staff is outstanding. Pool is 10 out of 10. Less than 5 minutes from my house. I have two kids age 5 and 9 and this is literally our summer. It's what we look forward too when it's hot. When my kiddos have a playdate only$7 for a guest. I am so grateful to Roseville and the aquatic center

I am a nationally certified Aquatics Coach for Special Olympics North America. I have trained many athletes in our region, SONC (Nor Cal.) Our local team, West Placer Athletics has trained at Summer Sanders/RAC for many years. Of the many facilities that we have used for competitions, RAC remains my favorite. I have coached at many venues, including collegiate facilities, RAC still holds my heart. We do our hardest work HERE. The staff has been gracious, helpful, and we appreciate our life guards. The pool is always spotless, and the bathrooms are typically very clean. The facility itself is perfectly located, only "drawback" can be parking. For large Aquatics events (especially is there is event at the high school on same day/time, parking is very problematic.

We had a great time one hot day visiting grandma. My son, who was 23 months at the visit, eventually got use to the chaos and had a lot of fun in the kiddie pool with play structure. It's a large park, with lots of people, but it didn't feel crowded. There was plenty of space for everyone to play. The life guards were plenty and aware, they controlled any unnecessary yelling. We'll definitely go back. My only grief was the fact the kiddie pool allowed ages up until 12. The older kids, Junior High students, were really big and rough, which terrified my son. He got use to it, but as a parent I don't want to worry about my toddler getting knocked down or sprayed in the face with a hose that could drown him. The older kids have an entire park (including another wadding pool, huge water slide, and two pools) to play in. Why can't the toddlers and younger kids have their own safe play space?

Even though the party time window is a bit short, I do appreciate that they have the option to shut the place down for private events. They also provide a private party room for your group to use, which is really convenient. The indoor pool is actually warm (which I truly appreciate, because I've been to plenty of places that claim their pools are "warm" when they definitely are not). There's also a section where kids have to pass a swim test to receive a bracelet, which allows them access to the deeper area and the inflatable play zone. There are plenty of lifeguards on duty, so it always feels safe, and they provide life jackets as well. All kids are required to wear approved life vests while in the water. I also like that there are showers right by the pool, along with doors that lead directly into the men's and women's locker rooms and bathrooms. It makes it easy to enter and exit from both the indoor and outdoor areas, although parents should definitely keep an eye on their kids since there are multiple exit points. One thing to note is that they're pretty strict about party timing. If you go over your allotted time, they may not always remind you, but they will charge you afterward. I really wish they had separate designated party time and swim time, because it can feel rushed trying to fit everything in at once. Overall, it's a nice place to take the kids. They also offer swim lessons and other programs, which is a plus. The only downside is that some of the front desk staff seem young and occasionally don't have clear answers to specific questions. This wasn't our first visit and definitely won't be our last.

I feel like I'm swimming in a greenhouse when the roof is closed. I love not having to wear sunscreen, a hat, or sunglasses, but some people still might. So many water fitness classes offered here! There are multiple classes Monday to Friday. Only 1 class on Saturday and Sunday, but that's still pretty good. You need to get a wristband for each water fitness class. The most popular and biggest class is the Hydro Fusion class held MWF 10:30 am and TR 9:05 am. You can start getting a wristband for this class 1 hour ahead of time. I've also enjoyed the Shallow H20 Fit classes and the Monday night Aqua Yoga class. I don't think you can reserve a swim lane. You just hope for an empty lane, stay in your half lane if you have to share with 1 other swimmer, or circle swim if there are 3+ swimmers in a lane. If you need to move between lanes, staff wants you to swim under the lane dividers. They are afraid the lane dividers can't hold the weight of a person. There are so many lifeguards! Sometimes during class or if you're in the middle pool lanes, it feels awkward seeing them loom over you. They're ready to rescue you! There are swim programs for kids. For Easter, there is a floating egg hunt! For Halloween, there is a floating pumpkin patch. https://www.roseville.ca.us/government/departments/parks/programs_classes/fitness/ Look under Mike Shellito Indoor Pool, Fitness Schedules, and Memberships for details. Very affordable, especially if you are a resident of Roseville. You can pay for a monthly membership, buy a 10 or 20 visit punch card, or just drop in. Every January, there is a punch card promo to get you exercising: Buy 10, Get 5 free visits. The cool thing about the punch card or daily drop-in is that you can attend as many classes at any of the 3 Roseville exercise facilities (Mike Shellito, Mahany Fitness Center, Maids Community Center) that day! This is the daily class schedule: https://groupexpro.com/schedule/788/?view=new I had some bad luck when I initially tried out evening classes with last-minute cancelations or no shows. I waited over a year to try my first evening class. Bring your own towel and lock for the locker room. Only 4 shower stalls inside the locker room. Many people just rinse off and head home in their swim parkas. I also bring my own bag for the wet clothing and swimsuit. There's only 1 type of shampoo/body wash foam, so you might want to bring conditioner. No paper towels in the restrooms, just hand dryers. Leave time to park, check in, use locker room, and grab your weights and noodle before class. Pool closes between 1:15 pm and 3:45 pm Mon to Thu. On Fri, it's closed between 1:15 pm and 6:35 pm. Sat and Sun stays open until 4 pm with no midday closure. If you enjoy swimming or aqua fit classes or water therapy, I highly recommend Mike Shellito.

The instructors don't view this as playtime - they are all professionals in swim safety and will make sure that your kids are able to safely exit a pool on their own if they were ever to fall in a pool unnoticed. They also have an amazing ability to connect with the kids and make them feel at ease. IF YOU WANT YOUR KIDS TO LEARN HOW TO SWIM COME HERE! You can skip the community centers and swim school group classes that teach your kids to splash and sing songs. This place only offers one-on-one private sessions and limits the number of students at any one time to no more than 3. There are no loud distractions or crowds to overwhelm the students. Do yourself a favor and dish out the extra money for private sessions at this place - there's no price on the peace that comes with trusting your kid won't drown if they were to accidentally fall into a pool while they are alone. As for the complaints about the lax customer service - this is a privately owned small business in there backyard of the owner, Kelli's residence. Customer service and greetings are warm and relaxed, which creates a welcoming environment where the kids feel comfortable. Our first session my 4 year old wouldn't put her face in the water and by the third session she could jump into the pool on her own and swim breaststroke all the way to the other end of the pool (so cute to watch a tiny person people do this!!!) At my 6 year olds first session, she could float and doggy paddle. By her third session she could swim breaststroke with side breaths and backstroke. I could not recommend this place more!

Each week's lesson is well-structured, age-appropriate that keeps our 3-year old grandson focused and smiling. We were amazed by the progress in just a few short weeks. We highly recommend these lessons to any parent looking to introduce their child to swimming or expand their child's swimming skills.

We came on a Sunday afternoon and it was pretty quiet. There's been a bit of improvements/changes including adding that new weights pulling rug area, and the removable of the 2 walls that used to be there. I did a bunch of lifting with free weights and worked out with my wife, and the kids rode spin bikes. We all had a good time. There are always plenty of staff in the childcare for both big kids and babies. I immediately took advantage of the free personal training session on my first visit. I worked with Liz. I clicked with her right away because she specifically cared about MY goals for my fitness. I wanted to turn my health around so that I could increase my healthy lifespan with my two kids. I just had a baby at 40 and was very overweight and incapable of many physical functions that I consider important. In my first month working out with Liz, I gained 6 pounds of muscle and lost 8 pounds of fat. I felt physically strong and capable, but also mentally strong because I was confronting something embarrassing for myself but pushing through. After some months I switched to other trainers because Liz is actually the training boss lol. I had been spoiled... but I was very happy with Eric and Alex who taught me new exercises and were just as knowledgeable and caring as Liz. I stuck with Alex for the rest of my time at In-Shape Roseville. He always estimated my ability just right. He would never give me more than I could do, but also not less. I pushed it every single session and got stronger and stronger. Every session was packed with activity and I felt like my time (and money) was being fully valued. From the moment I would walk into the gym until I left, I was making a huge impact on my health and future. Over six or seven months, I spent between two and six hours at the gym every week. I know for certain that putting in that time gained me years with my kids down the road. Unfortunately I moved out of county and have switched to a new local gym, but I now have a knowledge and skill set to continue on my own. It's no overstatement to say In Shape Roseville changed or even saved my life. Every staff member helped me. Also, every member is nice. There's no awkwardness or feeling fat there. Everyone is super nice and down to earth, all ages and all body types. Special thanks to Carmen, James, Nayel, Eric, the beautiful lady trainer that moved to Nevada and Raymund. Especially for Liz and Alex, I know that I will achieve my fitness goals and live a long healthy life with my family from what you taught me and what you enabled me to prove to myself.
