Coaches are good and the pool is clean! Big outdoor pools which tends to get hotter during summer. I felt they could have worked on the railing and other safety aspects more because the training pool for kids slides into the deeper pool and most of the first time kids will not be aware of it. Fun and affordable spot to swim on a hot day in the summer. The newly renovated splash pad area is tons of fun and the water slides are big enough for even big kids to enjoy. They have plenty of life guards in duty during rec swim and I do feel like they are actually paying attention. The locker room is tiny so my family and I rinse off under the outdoor showers and change at home. The concession area could have better treats but my son has never complained. Haha. It would also be great if there was more shade to sit under. read more

I took my boys for a day pass which was $7 per person and worth every cent. The large pool is 3.5 feet deep so my 8 year old can swim and even stand for his own safety. My five year old wore his little puddle jumper life jacket (although they do not allow water wings alone). There were lifeguards at specific points all over the place and they were rotating out regularly which gave me the impression that people lifeguards were staying alert and watching over kids well. I can tell this place was very well staffed and moving like a well-oiled machine. The concession stand was affordable and the worker had a great attitude. Great job to City of Roseville Parks and Rec! Looking good!! We had a blast! Side note, The showers in the women's locker room were taped off with caution tape and the area looked like it could use an update. But we came for the pool, water slide, and spray ground and it all looked perfect! read more

Fun, family day, we found it by a google search since were from out of town and it was a great way to kill time with the kids! Our first time with a floating obstacle course, i have a bad back so i had to sit it out but the kids absolutely loved it. And even with all the people there, there was no trouble finding a spot. Every year I buy a season pass. It used to be affordable. Now it's gone up to $63 for the summer. You can't even use it all week, because they are closed for swimming on Mondays. Plus, the complex is closed a few weekends for swim meets. Today I was very irritated. The one area of the large pool, near the blow-up feature was closed for Lifeguard Training, which made the other side of the pool super crowded! I was told it would be closed all week for Training! Can't they train at different times since the pool is only open for 3 hours during the week? You pay a lot for the pass, but hardly get to use it. I won't be buying anymore passes every again. read more

This pool is epic. $150 for a family of 4 for the whole summer. Shheeeesh that's one day at sunsplash. It's clean, professional and a whole vibe. Staff is outstanding. Pool is 10 out of 10. Less than 5 minutes from my house. I have two kids age 5 and 9 and this is literally our summer. It's what we look forward too when it's hot. When my kiddos have a playdate only$7 for a guest. This is a good fix for a very hot summer day, especially if you want to dip in the water on a day with a heat wave. On the hind side, you might want to think about it, if you do not want to be exposed to too much sun. Since this is an outdoor pool. There are lots of life guards when we visited. Almost every few post, there is someone looking out. They are testing the waters too every so often our entire stay. Overall, we had a great time. read more

Fun place to swim! I love how the pool is toddler friendly. The pool goes from 0ft to 5ft. Not sure how deep is the slide area. I also love how they play music, have several life guards, and have a snack bar too! The price is totally affordable! We always have fun here. Just wished the hours were longer. read more

Glad the Roseville Aquatics Complex is open but man does this place get swamped. Just know that going in, that open swim is a zoo of people -all within about a foot of each other. I am a nationally certified Aquatics Coach for Special Olympics North America. I have trained many athletes in our region, SONC (Nor Cal.) Our local team, West Placer Athletics has trained at Summer Sanders/RAC for many years. Of the many facilities that we have used for competitions, RAC remains my favorite. I have coached at many venues, including collegiate facilities, RAC still holds my heart. We do our hardest work HERE. The staff has been gracious, helpful, and we appreciate our life guards. The pool is always spotless, and the bathrooms are typically very clean. The facility itself is perfectly located, only "drawback" can be parking. For large Aquatics events (especially is there is event at the high school on same day/time, parking is very problematic. read more

My kids (7 & 10) love coming here. The beach entry pool is nice and the play structure is fun. But... it's absolute insanity on weekends in the summer! Parking lot completely fills up as well as the overflow lot across the street. When busy, there's no place to sit, craziness throughout the pools and basically not enjoyable at all. They won't even let you bring your own food. With only one person working the food stand, the line is incredibly long and slow. We waited a half hour for one Icee. This place can be fun only if you come during the week, avoid weekends or you will leave feeling frustrated, annoyed and like you didn't get your money's worth. read more

We had a great time one hot day visiting grandma. My son, who was 23 months at the visit, eventually got use to the chaos and had a lot of fun in the kiddie pool with play structure. It's a large park, with lots of people, but it didn't feel crowded. There was plenty of space for everyone to play. The life guards were plenty and aware, they controlled any unnecessary yelling. We'll definitely go back. My only grief was the fact the kiddie pool allowed ages up until 12. The older kids, Junior High students, were really big and rough, which terrified my son. He got use to it, but as a parent I don't want to worry about my toddler getting knocked down or sprayed in the face with a hose that could drown him. The older kids have an entire park (including another wadding pool, huge water slide, and two pools) to play in. Why can't the toddlers and younger kids have their own safe play space? read more

The kids and I love to go swimming here on weds eve. The lap pool is the perfect temp and the depth is the beat in town. They also allow my son to swim With his floats. The kid splash zone is great but cold in the eve. They have a great snack bar and a decent changing room/restroom. read more

So far, attending this place twice in a row for a whole wknd isn't so bad with my husband and kids! We attended during recreational hrs on Saturday and Sunday, which are the hrs of 1p - 5p. Their life guards are very attentive, they keep their pools very clean, they do offer summer passes for monthly and whole summer under $90 for a family pack of 4. For 1 day pass, they charge $5. I will have to say.. for 2 days on my 1st time attending, plus living in Roseville for almost 11 yrs... this isn't so bad to attend during the heat days & also much cheaper then Sun splash! read more

One of the many things that I really enjoyed about this place was the fact that the kids area is separate from everything else. I've been to the antelope aquatic center and it's way more crowded with kids of all sorts of ages. My daughter wouldnt leave my sight because there was too much going on. Roseville Aquatics has the perfect place for one year olds. Life guards were friendly. Everything seemed to be well kept. The only down side is if your walking from one pool to another you better have your shoes with you because you'll burn your feet. I also love how you can being your own snacks!! read more

My daughter had her sons 9th birthday there tonight. It was totally amazing. She reserved the pool from 5:30 - 7:30, the kids had a blast. It was organized, the life guards and staff were top notch. There was plenty of shade and tables. We were able to have pizza delivered and they kept the ice cream cake in the freezer. I would definitely recommend it. We would do it again. Thank you read more

They have the dumbest hours. If you want to go to the pool with your kids after you get off work forget about it. They close at 4:00 PM and rarely open for family night from 7:30-9:30...you know that time when your kids have to go to bed? Mike Shellito sucks too though so I don't have any good places to compare it to since they are apparently only open on weekends to public at least. You'd think these places would be open a lot for summer hours...you know when it's hot. Oh well...I guess I have to look for another pool. Maybe I have to spend hundreds of dollars a month at Lifetime or VillaSport to get a pool open to the public. read more

My 7yo & I just discovered this place yesterday & I am so glad we found it this early in the summer. We will definitely be back weekly for the rest of the year. We arrived about 1:45 (opens at 1pm weekdays) and wish we would have come sooner. We got a couple lounge chairs in a great location, but I literally think we got the last ones. Arriving sooner, we would have been assured of great spots. Also, if we had gotten here sooner, my son would have had more time to play. He did not get out of the pool (other than for an ice cream treat) until they closed at 4:30. He would have stayed until dark if they'd let him.... The facilities are clean, well maintained and spacious. Very comfortable. The water was highly chlorinated (I can still smell it on my skin post-shower), which is probably good considering the amount of kid (and adult) pee that was likely in the pool. If you can put that out of your mind, you & yours will have a great time splashing around! There were numerous lifeguards (wearing red & white) throughout the facility, as well as RAC employees (wearing blue) in & around the pool. The staff were all nice and friendly, and we did ask them a couple of questions. The snack bar staff were a little less stellar, although it might be just by comparison to the other staff. The two boys (teens) working the snack bar were sullen & seemed put out when taking orders and serving customers. Granted, they are teenagers and probably would have preferred to be hanging with friends. But still, they were being paid to work, so suck it up. Our ice cream was so melty it literally wilted in the packaging the minute it was handed to us. I unwrapped mine almost immediately and it slid off the stick and remained in a mushy pile inside the wrapper. This is likely due to the fact that the facility uses a regular (vs. commercial) refrigerator, which was obviously being opened and closed constantly. But that is my only complaint. It was a gorgeous afternoon and we had a blast despite 103 degree heat. We will DEFINITELY be going back!! read more

Its pretty good, the only thing i have to complain about is that the lap pools aren't heated and the kiddie pool is. They closed the kiddie pool for 40 minutes and me and my friends were waiting in the freezing water for so long! read more

I agree with all of the good reviews here. I may not have anything to add, other than: - bring your own locks for the lockers. - make sure you supervise your small kids, especially in the kiddie zone. - if you plan on coming a lot during the summer, it may be best to invest in a summer swim pass (you get access to all Roseville City Public Pools). The place is clean and there are plenty of responsible lifeguards around to keep most of the swimmers in check. Great place for families! Admission is only $5! How can you beat that? read more

We moved to Roseville from the Bay Area recently and have been exploring our new city. So far we've liked most of what we have seen, especially the Roseville Aquatics Complex. The facility is clean, plenty of lifeguards assure a safe experience, and the three pools (50 meter, kiddie, and shallow) provide plenty of different experiences. And don't forget the waterslide, my 7 year old daughter's favorite. A shout-out to Michaela, one of the staff who went above and beyond during our last visit. My three-year old daughter told me she had to pee so I sent her into the women's locker room to relieve herself. After 15 minutes, I started to become concerned and asked for help. Michaela went in, found that my daughter was defecating as well, cleaned her up, and was completely professional and upbeat about it. Thanks again! Think we're going to like it here. read more

A very nice and large water facility featuring OHS graduate, "Summer Sanders Olympic-size competition pool." I will follow up with more once I experience this place past swim lessons with the kidlets. I will say, for my real young one, I loved the "beach walk-up" side pool entry for their lessons. Very cute. ~ I know during the summer they have occasional "free swim" nights, but they are packed. My husband has gone twice and said it was fun, but a ton of people. The play zone looks fun (haven't experienced it yet). ~ My kids handled better as young ones at Johnson pool, but this place is pretty fantastic as well. Hard to watch multiple kids here with the layout. It's a good-size place. We are sure lucky to have three pools in Roseville. Gotta love it. :-) read more

I like to take my kids here on hot days and let them have fun. This is a cute facility and I haven't had any real problems until recently. My 7 year old son comes here with his Grandpa during the afternoon. But has had problems with a few of the male lifeguards being mean to him here lately.Making him squat, asking him why he's squatting and then not letting him on the water slide when smaller children are going down the water slide. Talking to children in a rude way(and my child was not being rude or disobedient). I know they are teenagers/ young adults only here for a summer job, so nothing will come of this. I have called and left a message for the supervisor, but who knows if he'll even call back. I want parents to be aware this is happening. I guess some young adults get a little authority and they don't know how to act. read more

We loved going to this pool over the summer. We got a family pass and it was so worth it! Summers in Roseville get very hot we learned. Thank goodness for this local pool. Always clean, and even when crowded there's still enough space. There's a slide, a toddler play area, and two large pools, one I believe for lap swimming (that pool feels slightly cooler).
