I've given blood here several times, and it has never been a negative experience! The staff is very friendly, and they are all very grateful for volunteers. They always offer snacks, and often have some type of drawing or contest going on for the location. I wish I remember her name, but one of the staff -- I believe Shelley? Has been my favorite member there. I feel the least amount of pain with her, she is very good at her job! I have not been to other American Red Cross locations, but I do recommend this one as it is always a quick, painless, and very friendly experience! read more

This facility is quite nice -- open and plenty of windows for outside light. It is clean and seems well-run. I appreciate the new equipment they have in the check-in room; there is no longer a finger stick to assess iron level now (plastic electronic device was placed around the thumb) and the blood pressure cuff is now automatic. They have a good selection of snacks after your donation is completed. Penny was my phlebotomist today and she did a great job! read more

I always come here whenever I'm in the area to donate platelets and the people who work here are always so kind and pleasant to be with. They always make sure to ask if you need anything and whenever I do I'm always given it/helped with it nearly immediately. I always know that when I'm here that the type of care that I receive is going to be 10/10. I never have to worry about having a rude person or anything of the sort. I almost always get in right away and the whole process is very smooth, they place the hemoglobin machine on your thumb and take your pulse/blood pressure at the same time on the opposite time instead of doing one or the other to save time, or at least that's why I think they do it. Would totally recommend this place to anyone in the area who is looking to donate anything! I don't live in the area so I really only come here to donate platelets and I'm always happy with my experience!! The only downside is the needle pokes when they put the needle(s) in your arm(s) but then again, I know it's going to happen and I'm prepared for it. I'm just nervous around needles. read more

Everyone at the Red Cross was so nice and welcoming. I am a pretty hard stick but the girl who helped me got the vein the first try which was really great. They also had a gift for those that gave blood and an are to have snacks and drinks after finishing your donations. The whole process was pretty quick and it made donating blood very easy. read more

I have just had the most positive blood donation experience I can recall. The information provided about extra fluids and good food choices before donating seems to have paid off. Most importantly, Davina made the actual donation process as smooth as one could wish. There was no digging around in my arm. She identified the vein location and inserted the needle right where it needed to be the first time. I may barely have any bruising at all. I'm impressed. If everyone here is this good, the Red Cross has a great thing going at this donation center. read more

They do not require their employees to vaccinate. Per CDC guidelines, (guidelines; not laws or rules, most healthcare facilities still require masks) masks are no longer required for vaccinated donors, but the unmasked don't need to show proof of a vaccination. So if you donate your blood you are putting yourself at risk. I just canceled my donation appointment because it's not worth the risk for this vaccinated donor. read more

Facility needs some refreshing, minor repairs, and cleaning. Do not count on your appointment starting at the scheduled time. Runs late every time. Allow for this. Staff seems capable which merits the second star. When someone is sticking my arm, I want confidence in the facility. read more
