Booking my class was easy, the training was fantastic and I got my certificate the next day. This was all under the direction of Peggy Gladstone, whom has since quit -- so you can guess where the rest of the review is going. The new contact is Joydeep Paul and he is HORRENDOUS with communications. I was trying to schedule my renewal since April and while admittedly, I booked the wrong one at first, what I needed was IN THE EMAIL I SENT HIM. He should have immediately (not five business days later) directed me to the correct one. He also takes no less than 10 days to get back to you. He asked the day BEFORE if I could attend a renewal the next day. I couldn't. When I expressed disappointment with the (lack of) communication he told me, "well, I gave you dates and you couldn't make any of them." Sweetie, I work. I gave YOU five or six dates and times I could attend. Well, Sunday JUNE 10th I finally was able to take my practical. Certificate was to arrive the next day. It is now Thursday (four days later) and I had to reach out to HIM to ask for it. He told me that I declined a "schedule invitation." BULLSHIT! He finally sent over the certification. I will never use MedServ again -- at least not the one at this location. I will say however, that the instructor Aevline, was fantastic! She alone gets the five stars!

CPR/AED/First Aid certification sounded natural. First, let me give you some epilogue...I signed up for the class a month ago, but my slot got canceled due to low enrollment. I asked if I could get a refund or should reschedule...I was told that I should reschedule. The fact that my question regarding the refund wasn't addressed kind of weirded me out, but okay. My question was practically rhetorical anyway...I was going to attempt my certification one way or another. Did the 3 hour online portion which was fun and at the same time VERY thorough. Then, met Justin and Sharon for the in person segment. The two of them were great! Very personable and did all the things a teacher does like model and check for understanding. There were four other people in the room with me and I liked how the two of them would scan the room and make sure we were doing things right in terms of speech, action and observing the scene. I feel confident that I will be able to use the skills I obtained. Especially since you get access to the online portion for the rest of your life. So, sign up and knock 'em dead...by bringing them back to life.

Classroom itself is in the interior of the building, so finding it initially is a bit challenging. Price of the class does not include the textbook (you can purchase on amazon) and the instructor was able to validate a 10% off coupon code for me which was so nice. Instructor was easy to contact and was so helpful. Definitely recommend using this company for any BLS/ACLS/PALS classes!

I was the only one taking the class so it went by pretty quickly. The instructor is so nice and really explains each topic well. She asks you questions to make sure you understand the content in order to apply it to the emergency situation. Her questions all help with the test at the end. She's friendly and approachable, so don't be afraid to ask questions! The mannequins have become more high tech from when I last did my BLS certification. There's an app that can measure the depth and rate you're performing your compressions. I think that's pretty cool! In terms of cleanliness/infection control, we were wearing masks. I only removed my mask momentarily when I was performing rescue breaths. All equipment was wiped down and disinfected after the course. Hand sanitizer was also available. I felt safe with the proper precautions taken. Overall, I highly recommend getting your certification done here! The whole experience was pleasant.
