I have taken other BLS classes were all we did was watch a bunch of long boring videos and it didn't really prepare me for the hospital setting. The BLS course with UCR ASO instructors was more hands-on and the class was fun! The best part about the course is the staff actually prepare you for the real-world and you get your certification card as soon as you complete the course. The classes are hands on and you actually get to learn and apply skills taught in class. All the instructors make learning it fun as well as keeping it serious and it's great to see other students this involved in the health-related fields. There was also like an $85 difference between the amount I paid and the amount a different nurse paid. I felt horrible because the other nurse ended up having to pay that extra 85.
