Nursing school is not easy, I didn't expect to go into it without a full commitment or the mental preparation that it will be hard. I basically let go of any idea of a social life, had to significantly cut down on my expenses, and it was still a struggle. I worked with Lesley as my admissions/Recruiting Rep and enrollment was an a smooth process for me, she provided me with all the information I needed including the hours I would have to dedicate and set aside for classes so I knew full well what I was getting into. The Director of the non core classes was on campus very helpful to me when I had questions. The Anatomy and Physiology instructor Mr. Ali was the best! I mean just the most wonderful instructor to lay the groundwork needed for core classes. He made the course work fun. The instructors gave us the tools and resources and it was our job to utilize them. We had to put in the work and time consistently and I tried to fight every urge to procrastinate and put it aside. I failed sometimes time I didnt and passed the times that I did. Our the director Ms. Rayna was an awesome resource, always available, always looking for ways to help us learn, grasp the information and be prepared to practice safely after graduation. She was incredibly supportive and that's pretty rare compared to other schools I have attended. The instructor were the best, our campus was so lucky, I'm not sure if they are still around but Dr. Mahdi was our fundamentals, pharmacology and mental health instructor and I have always said every nursing student needs Dr. Mahdi to shape them into responsible nurses. She had a very hard expectations just as families for those we serve will have high expectations. Her way instructions helped me seriously grasp the concepts early on that were on the NCLEX exam. Kristin taught us Maternal, Peds and Leadership, she really carried us through. She is so inspirational in how much she loves her job and her patients. She drilled into us the importance in our role as educators. She is the reason I decided I wanted to work in women's health. She is honestly the greatest. Ms. Amie, Ms. kim, Dr. Joseph, Rochelle were also great instructors, inspirational in how they showed us the different fields of nursing are available to us. Available as support in and out of the classroom and just the best mentors to have guiding us. Ms. kim I would say probably made the biggest impact in my nursing trainings in terms of how she taught me to learn the concepts, write my notes, memory recall, and pass medsurg. It wasn't perfect, there were some very bumpy roads but looking back I would definitely choose Stanbridge again. Just had the greatest people to introduce me to the nursing profession in the safest way possible. Thanks to that I passed my Exit, NCLEX and got my license all in one month. So A+ for efficiency

I reserved a spot on the AHA website (it was not located in this place's website for some reason) and then called to confirm my seat. The instructor asked if I could actually join a class THAT day which was awesome because I needed it ASAP. I give 4 stars because the building is down some creepy road that was super hard to find, I kept U-turning down van buren because there is no road sign to mark it. On the phone her accent made me think she said it was behind a "castle" but after I did a circle I realized it's behind a "car shop". The building looked super creepy from the outside and I had no idea where to park cause there was a bunch of closed fences, but I called the instructor and she reassured me she was on her way to open it up. So once i got past all the creepy building stuff and the 30min late start, Dr. Edith Amadi was a GREAT teacher. Like since my teacher in high school I have never seen someone care so much about CPR. She has been a nurse for a really long time and emphasized how important it is that we care about doing it right so that we don't kill someone on accident (like make sure their pulse is actually gone before doing CPR). She made sure she explained every part thoroughly and watched us to see that we actually were practicing the CPR correctly (in the past I have seen other instructors not care AT all about if you actually learned it). I learned the information so well that I only missed 1 question on the exam. I feel much more prepared to do do CPR now than I have after any other classes in the past. Wow wow wow! And it wasn't boring, thank you for not making it boring! I know they have CNA classes and are working on an LPN program as well. If she is also the teacher for those, I am sure you will have success. I attached photos of the creepy road and building in case you need to find it, I promise you won't get murdered

Overall experience positive. (HVAC) School deficiencies:…read more 1. Lack of supplies. Each month was a "maybe" if the equipment needed was readily available. 2. Unmotivated students. You have the few who are there to learn and absorb the knowledge and the majority who pay to be there to take-up space, learn nothing, and be obstacles to learning. 3. Thieves. Many tools and supplies "magically" went missing. Started the program with six meters and by the end if the course we had to "fight" for use of the one that remained. Makes it harder to learn the practical when opportunists steal from the school and subsequently the students. 4. Lack of physical books. I did NOT appreciate being semi-forced to use the online books. Though I wad told they were "free" having to pay shipping fees for each book (10 books) was insane. If a student prefers physical media, it should be provided for the cost of admission. Books do NOT to be charged nor connected to wi-fi. Something to address going forward. School positives: 1. The instructors (Juan and Leo) were knowledgeable! When I needed clarity, they both responded in timely manners in understandable ways. I read the words, watched the videos, played the PowerPoint videos, so I went with many clarification inquiries. 2. Interim Career Counselor Bonnie. She stepped in right around the time I was graduating and genuinely wanted to help myself and any others who were willing. Her whole career has been helping and she was fantastic! Clear, concise, and helpful in the career planning department that i, myself, arent the best at, thus far. I feel i got most of what I expected with a few hiccups. I chose to do the work, so I feel more confident leaving as a 3.7gpa graduate.

On August 26, I called the school specifically to confirm the start date, class hours, and lunch schedule. During that conversation, I was not informed that the class had been canceled or that there were any issues with the scheduled start date. When I arrived at the San Bernardino campus on August 31, the building was closed, the lights were off, and no staff members were present. There was also a Southern California Edison "Final Call" notice posted on the door regarding the electric service. I have included a photo of the notice with this review. Seeing an electric-service notice posted on the door of a career college where I was supposed to begin my education was very concerning. Combined with the canceled class and lack of communication, it made me seriously question the reliability and credibility of the school and whether I could depend on the program remaining available long enough for me to complete my training. Because I had received no notification explaining the situation, I drove to the Riverside campus, where I originally enrolled and completed my assessment. Staff there informed me that someone should have contacted me to let me know the San Bernardino class had been canceled. I was also told that the San Bernardino location may be shutting down and that there may be a night class at the Riverside campus toward the end of September if enough students enroll. I am extremely disappointed with how this was handled. I had been enrolled since August 7 and had already waited nearly a month for the program to begin. More importantly, I personally contacted the school only five days before my scheduled start date to verify the class information. Despite that, I was given no indication that the class would not be taking place. There is also an issue involving my workers' compensation education vouchers. The vouchers were returned to me, but I was informed that they had already been submitted for payment. I now have to contact my workers' compensation administrator to make sure payment is not processed so that I can use my vouchers toward a program at another school. I understand that classes can be canceled and circumstances can change. However, I believe an enrolled student should be notified promptly--especially when that student specifically calls days beforehand to confirm the class. Finding out that my class had been canceled only after arriving at a closed campus, seeing an electric-service notice on the door, and then having to drive to another campus to obtain an explanation was extremely disappointing. It has delayed my education and created an additional issue involving my workers' compensation funding. Based on my experience, I would recommend that prospective students get their enrollment information, class start date, and funding status in writing and verify everything before making plans around a scheduled program and continuously verify that your classes is scheduled to start.
