The shuttle from the overflow lot to the grounds was flawless, continually running until everyone had arrived. Andrea was awesome, providing umbrellas for the wedding for the quick storm that passed through during the ceremony; she bartended when one could not be found; and even quickly responded to a spill on the dance floor. I can't say enough good about the venue or how much Andrea did to make my daughter and son-in-laws wedding so memorable. I will recommend Red Cedar Farm to all.

After searching and searching I literally was about to give up and just elope, but then I came across Kingston House. We managed to snag the last summer weekend that would work for our schedules and I am so, so happy it worked out. As a wedding venue: The venue was everything I'd hoped for. The property is enormous, lush, and well cared for. There are so many beautiful little areas that each have their own feel. From fields, to a huge pond, to forest, to gardens, you name it. I loved how people could explore and enjoy the day without feeling squeezed into a small space or told they can't roam. It was really important to us that our guests would feel comfortable, and they did! We had a beautiful early summer day so we could go with our Plan A option of having our ceremony in front of the pond and the reception up above. But Matt has some great alternatives that would work if the weather is bad. This was a big anxiety reliever for me because of course the weather here is unpredictable. I knew that even if it rained, we'd have a beautiful spot for both the ceremony and reception. The location: Kingston was a perfect spot for us. We had a lot of people coming from Seattle and Bellingham, and a good group flying in, as well. Kingston is the perfect distance to feel sort of like a destination without actually requiring a huge trip for people. Our guests could drive home if they wanted, or rent a property nearby (there are LOTS of options). And of course, adding a ferry ride is fun! As long as you and your guests know how to plan for it, that is. I was relieved that none of our guests misjudged the timing and everyone made it there when they should. The driving directions were also super easy to follow, so no one got lost. And Matt's team was there to help guide our guests into the property and find the best place to park. The house: I mean, the HOUSE! We stayed Thursday night just the two of us (highly recommend) and then both of our immediate families stayed with us Friday and Saturday nights. There was plenty of room for everyone. But honestly this house was freaking magical. Every square inch was beautiful, styled to perfection, comfortable, and full of history and character. Matt has an excellent eye and has filled the home with interesting and super aesthetic furniture, art, and knick knacks. And then of course it's perfectly stocked and comfortable, and had everything we needed and more. It's such a gift that we can also go back to Kingston House someday since he rents it on Airbnb. We're planning to come back for sure, and hopefully make it a family tradition. Matt: Matt was so great to work with. Responsive and communicative, helpful, and so committed to making your day/weekend perfect. He really knows how to host a wedding and has clearly done this many times. He brought a wonderful level of calm to the weekend and has incredible attention to detail. He puts so much thought and care into the home and property, you can tell he takes pride in it. And he should! We loved working with Matt and look forward to seeing him again someday when we come back. Also he has a very cute dog, bonus points!

The grounds are beautiful, and the staff were great to work with. During the planning session, Matt helped us with ideas and made sure the bride and groom were happy with all the plans. The wedding was scheduled for mid-May and Mother Nature threw us a very last-minute curve ball. Matt and his staff jumped into action to move the ceremony spot to the "In case of rain" location. As the evening went on, it got colder than expected and once again, Matt and crew jumped into action to get the heaters up and running without the guests ever noticing. Everyone had a great time. The wedding party had a gorgeous and comfortable place to stay for two nights. We could not have asked for anything more. We highly recommend Kingston House!!

She far exceeded the help that we expected. Both times I met with her I only gave her literally one day's notice because I was planning from long distance and rarely in town, and she was able to change her plans to meet with me. She asked me tons of questions about logistics and her expertise and advice was undoubtedly what made the day go so smoothly. For all the help she gave me over email and meeting with me beforehand, I ought to have paid her for some planning as well as day-of services. She also ran the rehearsal and called each and every one of my vendors the week before. (I only know this because I was starting to call them and realized it wasn't necessary because people were telling me, "Oh I just spoke with your planner yesterday!") On the day of, she just took care of directing everything. Occasionally she'd have a couple questions for me (probably because I just left a stack of boxes that had things that needed to be set up) but she just made it all happen. She made everything stick to the timeline and did all the stressing out for me, so all I had to do was worry about getting ready and having the most special, wonderful day possible. We were incredibly lucky to have Nancy's help for our wedding, and I would recommend hiring her to absolutely anyone.

She estimated a three-week turnaround time, and by the end of January, I reached out to check on the project's progress. She promptly responded, stating that she would complete the project by the end of the week. Two weeks later, I checked back for an update, but she had not responded. I have since reached out to her twice more without receiving a response. Now I feel like we may never be getting these bears or getting the clothes back of our loved one. The clothes came from the other side of the world (Southeast Asia) and is impossible to replace.

That being said, I do feel it's important to share my experience, so that other brides can hire a different wedding coordinator that will provide a more positive experience. After my initial call with Amanda, I looked forward to working with her. Shortly afterwards however, she became unresponsive for weeks despite repeated communication attempts. Eventually, Amanda apologized for not responding and offered to provide a complimentary floral preservation service, encasing my wedding flowers in resin, as a gesture of goodwill. I thought this was great and felt like she had handled the situation very well. Fast forward to the day of the wedding, there were a number of things she promised to do, but either forgot to do or did wrong (i.e. gave the boutonierres to the wrong people, did not bring the microphone speaker for our officiant, etc.). These were minor errors though, so I did not think much of it and let it go. The concerning issue is that Amanda took my wedding flowers three months ago and never returned them. I have reached out to her multiple times. She initially responded saying she would bring the preserved flowers to me on a particular day, but that day came and went. She never showed up, ignored multiple follow-up attempts, and has stopped responding altogether. I think it goes without saying that losing my wedding flowers is extremely upsetting, as they carried tremendous sentimental value. I want to stress that my husband and I have been kind, patient, and understanding throughout this process. I know people go through tough times, but it takes two minutes to text a client and be honest about the status of an order. Amanda--if you read this, I sincerely hope you are doing well. If you respond, please do not share excuses, but rather just let me know if or when I will ever receive my floral preservation.

We had the pleasure of working with New Creations Wedding/Rebecca Grant for not one, but TWO of our weddings. We had initially planned our wedding overseas but had to cancel the wedding due to COVID in 2020. I reached out to a dozen wedding planners in the local area, with no luck finding someone who could help us plan a COVID-friendly wedding. Rebecca, however, quickly accepted the task. Unfortunately, that plan also changed when further COVID restrictions limited the number of guests. We decided to book Rebecca to plan our beautiful elopement on Whidbey Island and had her marry us. She even managed to tell the weather to give us a gorgeous day in October!!! One year later, and with a baby on the way, we decided it might be a good idea to try to have a wedding celebration - FINALLY. We had zero ideas of what we wanted but knew we needed Rebecca to take over all details because our focus was planning for the baby. Rebecca made sure we got as many decisions out of the way as possible early on to have a wedding-free postpartum period. When it came closer to the wedding, this is where I witnessed her magic in finalizing every detail, communicating clearly with every vendor, and making the wedding finally happen. Additionally, she gracefully managed our guest count, which went from 100-130 to 175. I barely had time to spend a minute of my mind-space on the wedding because of our new family and often questioned myself, "why was I planning a wedding?" but man, did Rebecca deliver the most stunning, chic, and fun party. The circumstances around our wedding experience were not common, planning a wedding while trying to raise a new baby, but I would not hesitate to hire Rebecca again. There are so many details about a wedding that you don't even think about until you are in it, when you realize, "I'm so happy I hired Rebecca to take care of this." Rebecca is someone you can trust to get the work done; you will be wowed by what she delivers.

Now that I am able to look back at all the responses received by vendors, I am relieved that I hired some of the vendors that Perfectly Posh recommended because they were the most accommodating during this pandemic. Based on our conversation, this company soul purpose is to make your wedding perfect. They expect things to go sideways and are adept at handling any disaster. Also, they aren't money grubbers that will look for any excuse to keep your money if things need adjustments. They want your experience to be easy and full of happiness. My husband and I wound up making other plans but the 5 star this company has is well earned.

Throughout this period, Cassie brought to our attention many tiny details that could have spiraled into a bigger problem if there was no one to point it out to us -- including making sure tables were an adequate size, how various elements would need to move across the space during a room transition to avoid problems or delays, and various aspects of cleanup and takedown we hadn't accounted for -- and suggested helpful solutions. By our wedding day itself, Cassie had made sure every vendor knew exactly when and where they were needed. This meant that absolutely no one came to me or my wife with questions or problems. Even when the zipper of my dress ripped completely open and I thought everything was going to be a disaster, Cassie and her assistant were able to keep me calm and collected while we waited for the necessary help to arrive. If this hangup affected the schedule of the day, or if our vendors faced any other issues throughout the event, my wife and I were kept blissfully unaware.
