I dropped off 4 children's garments to A+ this afternoon. I have to say the service was very, very good. I felt like it was so personalized and the woman helping me (Lisa, I think) was so kind and patient with my teething toddler. I'm excited to get the clothes back and have that final touch for our family portraits. I will update and be more specific about the workmanship later! Edit: I was able to pick up my garments when they agreed to have them ready. The workmanship was excellent. The seams are all subtle and strong. They do not look like they were altered, rather they look like that's how they were designed. One dress for my daughter had to have a section relined due to some scratchy material. My daughter was able to wear this dress for her pictures without constant fidgeting because of discomfort. Great job! read more

A few months ago I took my machine to a different shop because I was having problems with it. The people in that shop kept it for several weeks and then told me they could not fix it and I might be interested in buying a new machine from them. I was ready to do that but felt I needed to get another opinion. I brought my machine to A+ Sewing and Services and within a few days had it back and working! I was so glad that someone actually worked on it and was not trying to sell me another sewing machine. I felt that I could trust their integrity any other time to bring my machine in again. I took my Juki TL 2010Q in for a simple servicing and came out with issues that it didn't even have when I dropped it off! I had no issues with my bobbin or sewing on different materials, but after getting it back I certainly did. When I contacted them, they asked me to bring it back which I did, David "tinkered" with it at the counter for about an hour while my sister and I were there under the impression that we were supposed to leave it, but no he proceeded to tell me he didn't have a service manual for it and to just "mess with this screw on the bobbin till it works" and handed my machine back to me. When I messaged asking for a refund I was told no (I'll be happy to share messages with anyone who would like them) I'll never do business with them again and I highly recommend if you have a machine you care to have serviced you take it to Quality Sewing & Vacuum in Silverdale instead for REAL service with knowledgeable service people! read more

Extremely poor service and irresponsible. We dropped an item off late September/early October with the commitment by business owner we would have it back by Thanksgiving, then committed to Christmas, then completely stopped returning calls, no updates and finally mid -February we are told we could pick it up at their shop; no one is there to meet us at the time the business owner set. Committed to bringing it to our house, nope didn't happen. I have never given a poor Yelp review on a business before however with the lack of professionalism by this business owner I would not think of referring or recommending their services. read more

Went by early last week with 3 pairs of jeans. I was told to come back the following week on 12/12/19 to try them on and make sure everything was ok when they were done. I went by at 5:00pm on 12/12/19 as directed by Katie, waited for an hour, and no one showed up. There was a note on the door saying "out on a service call." I tried calling, the voicemail box was full. I tried texting, no answer. I went back by the shop on 12/13/19 and still no one, however the same note from the previous day was still on the door. I expressed when I originally brought the jeans in that I would be going on an overseas trip. So I guess I will not be receiving my jeans in time; the whole reason I brought them in early. read more

WARNING This business is very irresponsible. We brought in 2 bathrobes two bathrobes in January to be shorten. We called at least 4 times in December and they weren't ready. Started calling and showed up in January with the place closed every time. When I did get contact, we set up a time to meet at her shop...NO SHOW! Finally, we had to threaten her to get our clothes back. Told her I don't care if they aren't done. My husband picked them up and told her "We will never come back". Her response was good, I don't want your business". Checked with other similar businesses and all said, that woman has that reputation. DO NOT GO THERE. We found a much better place called Alterations by Shirley by the Goodwill Thrift shop on Mile Hill. They did a great job, since the bathrobes were really needed to be shortened, they had to add a new zipper. Perfect job in less that 2 weeks with reasonable prices. They have a lot of business and people are satified. read more

David did a great job on my wife's sewing machine, it sews better than ever and Katie replaced a leather coat zipper that my wife wasnt able to do on her machine. Great place for both alterations and sewing machine repair. Lots of experience and knowledge for the tough stuff no one else can do. The first time I used this seamstress, I was more than pleased. Beautiful work, rapid turnaround, and even the price, while not cheap, was less than others around town. The second time was equally fast, excellent, and reasonable in price. Even the third time seemed to be a real charm. Unfortunately, this last job order has been the straw that was just too heavy for my back. I brought back some suit slacks that had been taken up an inch too far -- no one's fault and I was willing to pay to have them re-altered. I also brought back a pair of slacks whose new hem was already unraveling after only one wear. After the implication that I may have torn the hem myself with my shoes, I told the seamstress that I don't wear heels that can catch and I wash in delicate, so she admitted that the machine she used was not working properly and agreed to re-sew the slacks in question for free. They were all (3) supposed to be ready in two to three days. In the meantime, my mother brought in another pair of slacks whose new hem was unraveling, for the same reasons. My previous slacks were still not ready. A week later, my slacks were still not ready and I had a third pair that needed repair because the hem was unraveling. In all, five pair of slacks. At no time, other than the first visit, was I offered a receipt, and each time I was told that it would only take a few days to finish the repairs. Over three weeks later, I finally received three of the five total slacks back and was told that a fourth pair would be available in another week because they were 20 minutes (!) away from the shop (this is apparently considered "out of town" and too far to go to fulfill a verbal contract and make a customer happy). My fifth pair of slacks have totally disappeared. When I called to try to get this resolved, the seamstress first argued with me, made excuses because she was at church (I support being religious, but if you're at church, shouldn't you not answer your phone?) then tried to blame me for the issue, insisting that she had given me four pair of slacks, not three, and that there are no missing slacks. She also kept harping on the fact that she gave me a discount on re-hemming the two business slacks, which is beside the point -- I even paid for the two slacks' re-hemming in advance of actually receiving said slacks. At this point, having now waited, mostly patiently, to get all five pair of my slacks returned for over four weeks, I will no longer be patronizing this particular seamstress. read more
