They beat out big box stores for price, customer service and time saved NOT wandering around aimlessly.

This Home Depot is the closest to me so it's convenient when I need hardware or gardening supplies…read more The garden department is probably what I use most and they have a wide variety of plants, fertilizer, soil, etc. The prices are lower than what you would pay at a garden shop so it's a good value. You can also rent tools at this location which I have done in the past. It's convenient and saves money. The tools were in good shape and I was satisfied with the rentals. This location has a huge parking lot and can get very crowded on weekends. Sometimes finding store employees can be a challenge which seems to be the usual at all Home Depot's. Checking out can be a hassle at times as well. Sometimes it seems like there isn't enough cashiers and the lines can back up. Overall this is a good location.

Delivery notification service needs much improvement…read more I purchased a dishwasher and was told that someone would call me the night before the scheduled date to give me my delivery window. No one called. I happened to go on my computer at 6:30 p.m. the night before and saw that I had been scheduled for delivery between 1:30 and 5:30. On the delivery date I signed onto my computer at 10:00 a.m. and read a message saying that the delivery truck was 2 stops away. There was no direct communication regarding the delivery time and the written communication had totally conflicting information. THIS IS NO WAY TO RUN A BUSINESS.

So a different guy made new keys. Took them home. They don't work either. That was a couple months ago (I've been away). Today I brought them back, along with two different keys for the same lock, and asked if they could just check them against them in the machine, try cleaning them up. Not new keys, just try cleaning up the ones they already made. Lots more attitude, not to mention misinformation. I walked a few blocks up to Mega, got keys cut that work with no attitude (well, a friendly one.) Good thing I spent the $90 for other stuff I needed there. Screw Basics Plus. If you're going to be the local hardware store don't act like jerks.

We tried 3, THREE different locksmiths, paid a premium at each place, only to get home and find the copied keys did not work. Fooled three times and out $150, I was resigned to just not having a spare key. However, at my mom's insistence I try Walbaum's (as they guarantee their work) I begrudgingly went in and explained the situation. The gentleman who helped me asked many many questions and a half hour later I left with two copies. Thank god, really I lost hope of having any keys for the dogwalker, my mom etc and now I know just where to go. Thank you again!!!
