Also on Friday i called your employee stated that a supervisor would called me back still no phone call. I have been in contact with the US department of labor and inwill be filling a complaint against your company and the University of Fouth Florida. ***UPDATE*** I am having an ongoing issue with my OSHA 30 card that I completed through your program in conjunction with Certus on February 14, 2025. As of today, May 2, 2025 I have contacted Certus multiple times regarding this issue, and they have provided me with three different dates indicating when the card was supposedly mailed: - March 19, 2025 - March 24, 2025 - April 23, 2025 To my dismay, I still have not received it. During my most recent conversation with customer service, I was told that I would need to pay an additional $60 for the card, which I find unacceptable given that I have already completed the course and paid the required fees. TLDR: I assure you dear reader, this review is nowhere near how terrible using this site is. I would rather drink the fluid from the bottom of a dumpster than use this again. Trying to use English to convey the experience using this, is like trying to translate Anna Karenina into emojis. Love the 4.7/5 on the fake review site they host on their website; this makes perfect sense considering if any reasonable person read actual reviews, they would never use this site/company. The other 1 star reviews are mostly accurate but left out some key points. The 5 hour NYS pre-license course will take you well over 5 hours, because of the site design. There are timers on the site that range anywhere from 5 to 25 minutes, and you can't move forward until the timer expires. So you might have to read two pages and answer 3 true or false questions. Then you will have to wait until the timer runs out. Do something else during this 20 minutes? Nope. Move the mouse or the site will time out, and you'll have to verify your identity again. You will get locked out of this course. I assure you, you will. It has a 'biometric' password... Voice verification you have to say over 10 times during the course. If you don't get it exactly as you originally spoke it, you will get punished. (you will get it wrong, your voice will be slightly louder, more quite, or maybe you said something slightly faster or slower). After you get locked out, you will have to wait for 30+ minutes to them to unlock you, unless it's after 5pm, then you will have to wait until the next day. read more

HORRIBLE SITE DO NOT USE IT. They took my money and I logged onto the site for a 4 hour class. First, the section lengths were all set to the wrong time (ie a 15 min section was 60 mins) There are 7 seven sections with 2 subsections 14 total. If you do the math (4 hrs is 240 mins divided by 14 sections = 17 mins per section). Then as an added bonus the site would randomly log me out and when I went back in the time had time added to it. UUUUUUGGGGHHHHHHH The site continually restarted my sections adding 3 hours to my 4 hour class causing me to miss my deadline to get the certificate to the state. When I called to get help, they told me we are having issues today cuz of too many people on the site. Well if you can't handle the traffic you shouldn't sell to more people. And that's the bottom line here: they sold more than their site can handle and their customer service is crap. This is hands down the worst company I have ever interacted with. The online drivers ed course is supposed to be 32 hours of classroom time with 12 modules. However, there are timers up to 6 hours long during the driving portion that have to run down before you can access the next module. They will not count down unless you are interacting with the website. I asked how my student is supposed to drive and interact with the computer so the timer will go down and allow him to advance. THEY TOLD ME TO GET HIM ON HIS CELL PHONE WHILE DRIVING AND POKE THE PHONE TO KEEP THE TIMER RUNNING. I tried 5 times to get help with chat support. They told me I was lying about the 5 hour timers. They hung up on me multiple times without helping me. When I FINALLY got someone to escalate to a manager the manager said there IS NO WORK AROUND for having to be actively on the computer while driving. So if you use this company for drivers ed just know your student will be staring at a computer for around 70 hours to complete the classroom portion that is supposed to be 32 hours. The customer service is horrific. Registered for a course in December to renew my supervisor SST Card. Course cost was $400. My active card was expiring on January 25, 2025. I completed the 16-hours refresher courses by January 8, 2025. Submitted all of my information. Waiting, waiting, waiting. Card never delivered. Back and forth via chat. File under review. Chat person: card will be delivered within 3-4 weeks!! What? Still waiting, waiting, waiting. Call them directly at 800-393-1063 after finding that number online. Finally was told that due to the late submission, my card would not be issued as the original card had already expired and that I would need to now take the entire course over as I am not eligible for renewal anymore. A new course is almost $1200 for 62-hrs. So I asked Miguel "If at the time of my registration there was not sufficient time to complete the course and submit the certificates to NYDOB according to your statement, why did you allow me to register for the course? You took my money, I passed the course 2.5 weeks prior to expiration and now it is my fault??? He said to me you should have registered at least 3 months prior to the expiration date of your card as there was not sufficient time to process everything. Biggest waste of time and money? Because of their incompetence, I now have to spend over $1,200 on a new SupSST and spend 62 hours taking a course I already passed. They should be removed from the OSHA approved Course providers list. Will be sending a complaint to OSHA to report. read more

I Used "NY SAFETY COUNCIL" from American Safety Council, this company is a scam and only wanted your money. They locked my course for no reason. I was 5 mins away from finishing the course. I spent almost 6 hours there. On My last final quiz at my first attempt, I answered all the 5 questions and When I was attempted to click the submit button, the verified question popped up. After I successfully answering it. The screen displayed another 5 questions and stated 2 attempts remaining. When I clicked go to assessment, the computer screen displayed: your course is blocked ...... (See the attached photo below). They asked me to re-register. They just wanted to make money. I used this company 3 years ago and nothing like this happened. I will never use this company any more in the future. I have 10 friends that are going to take a defensive driving course, and they want to know about my experience. I almost wanted to recommend it to them. I sent them an email and no response, I called, and it said the estimated wait time more than 10 mins. I waited for 50 mins and no body answered the phone. I will not re-register with them, I will do it with another company. The website is terrible, the video "Another Night" was so old and blurry. Sometimes the video froze, and the sounds weren't clear. It was great at the beginning until they need you to do these biometric tests which require you to say some numbers on a certain line. I used airpods in my car (all windows up, no noise at a parking lot), and did those tests and failed MULTIPLE times. After certain amount of failure of those tests, your account will get blocked and you need to unblock it by connecting with an agent via live chat. Good luck trying to connect to that chat because I was trying to connect for 2+ weeks and always ended up to an error. After 3 weeks attempting to connect, I finally connected to an agent and they unblocked my account. Guess what? I missed the dateline of the course in which you have to finish by then. I want my money back. read more

How this is an approved provider by TDLR is beyond me. Similar to other reviews, my son was half way through a drivers ed course to get his license and they "changed portals". Discontinued his course. So all 7 hours of the course had been lost. No worries though, they did give us a voucher and told us to start over! There response was, "they sent email notifications (which was not the case) and put reminders on our website". Well a 15 year old boy is not going to be reading a website every day. Even though I submitted this review to ASC, chances are that my review will never be shown to the public, but getting a full refund or sharing my experience with them or YELP will satisfy me. I registered 01/11 and after program glitches kept me from advancing beyond the 2nd Subject on an on-line driving program on three occasions, I decided to contact them that moment. I filled their Get-In-Touch form and placed a call. To this day I have received no reply, endured 4 calls that had me waiting 19+ minutes for someone to answer and an hour wait for an agent in the ASC chat room. Today 01/17 I had similar negative experience with no one answering a call and placing me on an hour wait for someone to chat with me. I chose ASC for its reputation and positive reviews. Now they have a new system if you get the answer wrong 3x they log you out of the system and have to start the course all over again. I would not suggest any individual to take a course with American Safety Council. The online course is boring and difficult to retain any information. The course spends more time verifying the student than actually offering useful content. Not to mention that if you fail any questions you fail the course. They locked me out of my account after I failed just one of the security verification questions. Now, they're telling me to repurchase the defensive driving course and re-register my information. They're definitely mining for information because they asked me for my address, SSN, vehicle license number, insurance policy number, and more. I don't know what they are doing with this data (probably selling it) but I now realize this is a untrustworthy business and I shouldn't have given that information. This course used to work for me but I regret not reading these reviews before purchasing the course this time as I agree with the negative reviews. The actual content of the course is still very good but the way the program is designed, you'll be locked out for the slightest reason (didn't answer the question quickly enough, didn't answer your security question correctly, etc) and for you to get unlocked you have to contact customer service, register with your license number all over again and start from the very beginning. THEY SCAMMED ME! I paid for the Texas online food handler program and Texas online seller-server training course. After completion of the online food handler program's reading materials, I received an error that would not process the completion and give me a certificate. The other program was locked from me as well. I used the online chat to discuss the problem and no help was offered whatsoever. My need for these certificates were time sensitive so because I had no access to the program or certificates I purchased the courses from a different company and requested a refund. I wanted a refund because a certificate wasn't issued and I couldn't access the programs. I'm response to my email, I was sent the certificate a week after the food handler course (when it was no longer needed) and denied a refund. I was offered a refund for the course that was locked but they didn't even process it!!!!!!! THIS WEBSITE IS A SCAM! Absolutely horrible customer service as well. Refused to let me start the course over after I went over 30 days. Told me I would have had to pay $3 extra in order to get the ability to restart, but you can only do that when you register for the course. So if I want to take it again, I would have to pay the full registration fee, plus the extra $3 in case I go over the 30 time period again. I have used the ASC for many years now. Their online security measures , over that time, have gotten progressively worse. Besides the voice recognition (which they ask you to do many times), they have many security questions which you need to answer. I prefer taking the course on my computer. Unfortunately, I have no microphone for that. This means that I have to use my tablet, in order to verify my identity, many times during the course. They discuss many, many statistics and percentages during each chapter. One can't remember all these numbers and stats after just reading them through one time. School learning used to include many readings of the same material, before a certain amount would sink in. I missed a question 2x and was kicked off!! I was told I would need to reregister (and pay the $24.99 again --or whatever it was)!!! I was so aggravated, irritated, angry annoyed, etc. I sent them an email about the situation, saying I would NEVER use their service again. They responded and (supposedly) unlocked my account (just a one time courtesy). I have not been back on. I'll gladly pay a little extra in insurance, than deal with something that seems more fitting for a communist country. Find a different course to take. read more

The course is administered by some other online company, all the videos are silent (subtitled) unless you pay extra for audio (yes, you have to pay extra to hear their videos), the video are also 40 years old, with people in bell bottoms and Polyester shirts driving 1980's Chrysler K cars, not to mention viewing them is barely discernible. I bought their online driving safety course for a ticket dismissal. However, I later found out that their course was considered "expired" by the Texas Department of Licensing and Registration. Before I even opened the course software, I requested a refund and still haven't been issued one after weeks. Their customer service is laughable. For the past two weeks, I've made several calls and emails regarding the refund but it was like talking to a wall. This company never answers phone calls, and no follow-up emails would be sent after an initial response. This service is so bad that I've had to contact my credit card company for a chargeback. Don' use this product. It's a scam to sell and up sell you for a buggy product that doesn't work. It hangs and hangs to kill the time that you suppose to spend on learning "safety", the narrator must be from another planet, they use 1998 videos for presentation. The course locks you out all the time, o log back in you have to wait for "customer service" to reprocess you. Now they said that I failed a quiz, have to register again, pay all the fees again, plus some other fee on to of that to avoid being locked out going forward. The software is glitchy (see below): software got stuck, for example, in connecting me to next module. Software stated "processing to next module." This did not happen. Was in this mode for 30 minutes (thought this might be a mandatory break?) until calling customer service who helped me out. Software stated there would be four 15 minute breaks - this was not so as there were NO breaks other than the software wasting my time during its' glitchiness. , One would expect the software to have specific "breaks" and there were NONE! Management of expectations was a complete failure. Software should include time for each module AND when breaks would occur. This is helpful for consumers as we would be able to review specific modules given our time constraints (e.g., between business meetings, child sport activities, etc.). Absent known time periods of the modules one would expect the modules to be of the same length. This was not so. Modules are of different lengths. Not managing expectations is insulting to customers. Suggest looking at other defensive driving courses. Should you proceed be-aware that your experience could include wasted time as the software could only improve. For purposes of this review my computer experience dates back decades. I found this software to be a terrible experience. Be aware reviews on American Safety Council seem to be only those they ALLOW (perhaps via a message as a registered student?).
