They've told me about several shoe repairs that a repair wouldn't hold and not to waste my money, and I didn't. On the better shoes with leather soles, they do a terrific job. They are old school, hands on seamstress and shoe repair guy. They work really really hard and long days. I have a lot of respect for these people and they've treated me well and done a terrific job. They are honest and well intentioned, even though they don't always tell you what you want to hear. Highly recommend.

I have had several items repaired by Dale (the owner and only employee) in the past year; a pair of…read moresandals by Tory Burch, a pair of sandals by Brighton, and a coach purse that I asked Dale to reconstruct for me. All turned out perfectly and were finished on time within budget. His shop is adorable, clean, and quaint (once you get inside) it is like a trip down memory lane of the diving experience that he had earlier in his career - he even has his original dive suit and helmet on display! It's a little challenging to get to and the outside is a little older looking, but don't let that deter you, you wouldn't want to pay for an expensive locations overhead! You can buy your Fedora hat or any other type of Tommy Bahama type hat you are interested in for the beach :-) Dale carries a ton of shoe maintenance products as well as orthotics and shoe inserts - for shoes, if you need it, he probably has it! Dales smile and kind demeanor is welcoming and he exhibits the kind of customer service you don't see a lot anymore. He stays late when I tell him I can't make it there by five so that I can pick up my items and his work is quality and reasonable. I truly recommend this cute little repair shoppe!!

The owner, Jeff, is very caring and wants to improve your ability to be more comfortable in whatever shoes you wear. He was not pushy in SELLING a pair or shoes to fix my issue, but rather provided options. In the end, he found one leg to be shorter than the other, hand crafted inserts to meet the needs of both feet, and improve my gait! How awesome is that! And what is even more awesome is he provided additional inserts so that i could use my other sneakers and even sandals and did not have to purchase another pair of shoes!!! So, in the short of it, in the future, my first stop for shoe or leather repair or purchase of a new pair of shoes (they have all styles), will be The Shoe Lab!

Well, today (8/25/2026) I brought my 84 year old mom (with her walker) into the store to purchase another pair of shoes ..she lives in Lake Worth, so it is a bit of a drive. We decided to go back to this store because we both purchased New Balance sneakers in February...and the gentleman that helped us back then was very nice! Don't recall his name... But today was an entirely different experience- I see that there are other comments and reviews for the woman behind the desk- rude and unsympathetic. Lisa C. nailed it with her comments in her review. We walked in and the first thing she said was, "do you have an appointment" and I said No. I asked if my mom could get a pair of shoes and she said "No - you need an appointment- booked for the day"! Then she said quite abruptly "you should have called"...hahahaha- really... I said I was here in Feb. and we just walked in- I asked her when they changed the policy, and she said about a month ago... Unless you are a customer that visits this store every day, how would one know about this policy change? { I viewed the website before I wrote this review and it doesn't even state anything about the required appointment - except: "Appointments for medical issues are highly recommended". Actually, the main webpage states: " We're not your everyday shoe store! Call us today to see how we can help you"! Now that is a pleasant and welcoming statement- too bad they don't carry over that business model into their store.} Then I asked the woman if I could speak to the man who was helping (the one and only customer in the store), and she said "No, you can't" - Hold on whoa!! What is her attitude? Well at that point I turned to my Mom and her aide and said "we are leaving; they are very disrespectful" ...As I passed by the man, I spoke to him directly anyway...asked if he could quickly see my Mom since she is elderly and doesn't get out much....I intentionally spoke to him because unless you are my GOD, you are not going to tell me who I can or can't communicate with...I found out he is the owner and he said he has no staff and he is very ill - of course, I am so sorry for your situation, but you should fire your rude staff person and close up shop now... perhaps you just don't care how you treat people! Karma works in strange ways. Thank goodness for FLEET FEET - they were very accommodating, and my Mom was in her new pair of $150 sneakers within an hour after we left your shop. If I could convince others reading this review not to come to your store then I have accomplished one small deed. Last, Macelle L. wrote a review -she has been going to this store for over 10 years and " has read the bad reviews....The key is to always be kind and compassionate no matter what" - The owners should take her advice!
