This has been a terrible experience. Spectrum promised a buried fiber optic line and fast…read moreinternet. The initial installation technician did a terrible job. According to another spectrum tech, the route he chose to run the cable through a culvert is illegal. Our burial was rescheduled 3 times. We are now waiting on the fourth. Automated phone lines run you through menus for hours until you reach a real person. Then that person sends you to another, each with a poor excuse for why the service was cancelled, or flat out says that they don't see prior appointments scheduled in the system. Then they send you to another person who says they will have to email and call you back, which they never do. Today I insisted on speaking with an advisor or superior. The person I spoke with said I couldn't do that. I asked if he has a supervisor and he replied "yes." I clarified that he had a supervisor but simply wouldn't transfer my call to the supervisor. He said "yes." When I ask why he said that "That's not how we do things here." In other words, no one is accountable for a dropped ball. The customer spends tens of hours on the phone trying to get service and sits with a 'fragile' cable in an un-mowed yard indefinitely.

I have had small issues from time to time and all I have to do is call, stop in, or use their Remote Services for help. [ I have never been disappointed], and only charged if there are parts and repairs involved. They are more than willing to go out of their way to help anytime you need help. When I struggled with First Energy to restore my power, Dave at Abbott Electric took charge and within 90 minutes my power was restored. The company and those I interacted with went over and above.
