His quote was higher than another company, but his solution for our needs was the most fitting (using the CAT5 phone wires already in our walls rather than laggy wireless relays, like the other company's proposal, which seemed like a novice oversight in retrospect). The installation team finished so efficiently that Chris gave us a substantial discount off our quoted price. I'm very satisfied with the results--we finally have solid wifi access everywhere with an efficient ethernet backbone, and a nice (Amazon) app to control it, too. The installer team led by Ian, were on time and did top-notch work. When they took the old network down to turn on the new one, I didn't even notice an interruption!! They were creative problem solvers on site and responded to our special needs and feedback as well. (They explained how to avoid Amazon Sidewalk at my request.) They even accommodated our children who showed them their favorite videos online. :o) Great team. Great experience. Great value. I would definitely do business with them again.

    Called ADT to set my new wife up on her phone. She has AT&T as a carrier. AT&T is not…read moretext-compatible with ADT... no problem. Wanted to set up Push notifications. The technician said it couldn't be done because we have AT&T. BS. So I said "let's set up email notifications". He said it couldn't be done because we have AT&T. Again, total BS. He was worthless. I asked him to send an email to my wife from his ADT account. He said he sent it. Nothing. He blamed it on AT&T. Worthless. I spent a couple hours figuring it out for myself. Push notifications work perfectly. Email notifications work perfectly. He flat out lied to us. Lied. All he had to say was "I don't know how", but he blamed AT&T for everything. I was getting pretty testy by the end of the phone call. Didn't swear. Didn't yell. But yes, testy. Did it all myself, no thanks to their tech support. I should've written down his name. I'd complain officially.

The sales process felt rushed, and…read moreimportant details regarding cancellation policies, contract obligations, and financial responsibility were not clearly explained before installation. Had everything been transparently disclosed, I would have made a different decision. After installation, the service and overall experience did not meet the expectations that were presented during the sales process. When I attempted to cancel and offered to return the equipment, I was still informed that I could be responsible for significant charges. As a consumer, I believe companies should clearly explain long-term obligations and cancellation terms before locking customers into agreements. I have since had to escalate this matter through formal consumer complaints due to the lack of a fair resolution. I hope ADT improves its transparency, communication, and customer support practices for future customers.
