My favorite thrift store! I have been visiting at least twice a month for about a year. So many amazing finds. From multiple Burberry clothing items, to designer shoes like Louboutins, to fun decade-specific pieces, I love it! And the prices are absolutely fantastic. Lots of sales, even on the coveted designer items. (Got a great Burberry shirt for 30 bucks not once, but twice.) In addition to the clothing, I am also a frequent Barbie and toy buyer. Great prices on toys (Although the Barbie prices have gone up. I'll blame inflation. ) and like anything, a hit or miss selection. But when it's a hit, it's a HIT. They recently started to expand the upstairs. The loft vibes, exposed brick, huge windows, wooden beams...you're going to want to do a photoshoot upstairs with the $3 blankets in the background. Very solid thrift store! Super large two floors of merchandise with huge selections of bags, shoes, clothes (female, kids, male). They also have tags on sale for 50% off that rotate, and if it's your first time, 25% off with Yelp checkin. Would recommend this spot as well as My Unique in NJ:) read more

Recently got into my thrifting phase and found this location that was not too far from me. I went on a Saturday (late afternoon) with my mom and nephew. To describe, this location is huge and has an upstairs and a downstairs. One can easier get overwhelmed in a good way because there's so many great things! The prices are unbelievably affordable and if you go in with a plan (or not) you find great pieces. They have clothes, shoes, bags, books, art work and so much more! If you check in with Yelp they do provide a discount code with your purchase. I purchased some name brand items and probably spent less then $50. So glad I found this gem I will be back soon read more

Pros: + Totally fantastic selection! I typically don't find anything I really like at thrift shops, but here I made out like a bandit with amazing items. Everything from the clothes to the accessories were trendy and clean, the surprisingly nice book selection had good choices in good quality, and the building is spacious which feels nice during COVID times + As a very short woman, I can almost never find my size in pants (thrifting or not) but there were so many petite sizes that I walked out with several pairs + The prices are amazing - no single item I got was over $7 except for a really nice Levi's jeans jacket which was $10 + Lots of parking spaces! One store of many in a big lot + Employees are so nice and helpful + Many mirrors for trying things on Cons: - Could be a bit more organized by size and style. I mentioned loving the petite sizes as a plus, but I had to dig to find those, and most sections felt overwhelming - Although the clothes are super clean, the building felt a bit dingy/dirtier than my local Goodwill - No dressing rooms (although no one bat an eye when I tried items on over my clothes. If you're cool with it, just wear a light shirt and thinner leggings for your trip!) read more

This place has THE finds. Pottery, a ton of shoes, too many clothes to choose from & a whole lot of other miscellaneous items that'll have you just loathing over everything. Wanting things you don't need but could picture yourself with it just because it's unique and vintage. They have deals ALL the time- on top of the thrifting price. Weekend specials & $5 off $25. Easily the best and biggest thrift store in the NYC area. Come early and plan to take your time. Extremely reasonable prices except for the designer goods. Staff can struggle with a language barrier but all are polite. read more

been going there for years, it's my go to thrift shop! there's a lot to look @ and shop for but it can b a little overwhelming. i'm pretty sure all the staff speak spanish though not all are fluent in english. their prices are reasonable, i can't complain. a couple pieces i've purchased from over there had holes and stains that i only realized after i bought them, that's on me though. read more

My husband and I have been coming here once a week for at least six months and we do buy things. Today was the last time at least for me. We were here last week and the woman at the register said I had to leave my shopping bags with her. Fine. We came here this morning and I was told I had to leave my BACKPACK with her. Um no. My wallet is in there with my cc cards and drivers license. I told her I will not be leaving my backpack with my personal items in it with her and that I wasn't there to steal anything. I told my husband I would wait outside for him. But yet the guy in front of me had a backpack and nothing was said to him. Plus the other woman with pocketbooks didn'thave to hand them over. . If I wanted to steal something (which I don't because I'm not a theif) I wouldn't be stealing used items from a thrift store. I will never come back to this store. I just want to clarify that I use my backpack as a purse. read more

Don't walk.. RUNNNN to American Thrift in Passaic. From shoes, to clothing, to electrical appliances, bedding, pictures and much more, this store is the best thrift store I have ever been to. Clean and neat clothing racks, amazing staff, and good thrift finds are just a few of the amazing things you will see once you walk through the doors. I've never seen such amazing pricing and selection of items in there two story, 30,000 square feet building. Don't forget to look behind the counter for all their designer items!! read more

This is my preferred thrift shop, and for good reason. This place is HUGE, 2 level warehouse full of clothes , home decor, trinkets, and any and everything you could possibly think of. I often find amazing deals accompanied with coupons for money off on my next visit. THIS PLACE IS BETTER THAN GOODWILL and salvation army, i would compare this place with a Plato's closet or a consignment shop. read more

I have been coming for sometime now the customer service is very good but there's one lady at the jewelry counter that is not very welcoming I wanted to purchase a pair of earrings also another customer wanted the earrings she asked me while I was still looking twice do you want them or not because someone else would like them I told her to let that customer have them she laughing with this customer the whole time never came back to help me so I left I walk around the store as I was about to walk out I ask her did that customer buy the earrings she said oh he did but they was back in the showcase I pointed them out to her I said they're right here. Lots of fakes behind the counter priced at near retail some over. Funky smell in certain parts of the store. Certainly has the dingy crungy thrift feel to it but their prices are yikes! Not worth the drive even with a 75% discount most items would still not be worth it here. read more

I have been going here for awhile but today 02/27/2021 I had the most unpleasant experience. I'd usually go here and the associates would be nice and friendly and welcoming. But it was different. I felt disrespected as a customer. I was looking through clothes and the associate who was beside me and was arrange the clothes on the rack was rushing. She can obviously see me looking through. I was holding one garment and she just snatched that away from my hand while I was still looking at it. She wanted to move that garment to the other side of the rack. First and foremost she was too close me, which wasn't 6ft apart she should have been mindful and should have thought that everyone's perception of the 6ft rule is different. And should respect private space of customers. Second, if she sees a customer look at clothes she should not be rude and trying to rush her job. I just couldn't get over this experience. Everyone else was delightful but having her in the team is not ideal for customer service. Even if she was trying to leave her shift on time, that was very RUDE! read more

Why do they write with sharpie on EVERY ITEM? If it's not clothes, it has the price in sharpie AND the sticker, how stupid. Literally bringing down the value of most of the items, because it doesn't come off of every surface. Extremely annoyed as a person who collects things.
