actually found some good items here. it's very clean but oddly organized by color instead of size. while aesthetically pleasing, it's kinda hard to find stuff in your size. only giving it 3 stars because many of the items were waaaay too overpriced i was shocked. the staff was friendly & i'm happy with my purchases. i'll probably come back again if i'm ever in the area. read more

Naahhh these bad reviews are bugging. The prices are great, and way cheaper than neighboring thrift stores. Best damn thrift store ever. Seriously. The prices and the quality can't be beat. $12 for a Calvin Klein jacket. Shoes are in good condition. Large store. You WILL find something good if you look. Really good sales on special days. Staff is fairly friendly too. Love it! read more

Worst place ever, slum-like atmosphere, dirty and musty smelling, rude employees, extremely overpriced merchandise for secondhand. This should not be called a thrift store. I would have to say 85% of the merchandise, as they call it, should be tossed out in the trash It would help if they cleaned items on the shelf, it would be nice to see clothing that was washed and not wrinkled up and stained. I can't imagine anyone donating these items to the store. I can't imagine where they got their merchandise There are two churches, one in Oceanside (First United Methodist Church on Atlantic avenue across from super stop & shop) and one in East Rockaway (Bethany Church 1/2mile west on the same Atlantic avenue) that have boutique style thrift stores I'm not sure of the hours they're open but I'm sure you could find it online. As for this place, I definitely won't be returning and I definitely won't be recommending the place to anyone, friends or foes! read more

Did you send a blast text notification that you were changing the time donations were accepted Monday -Friday 7am-3:00pm???? at the sunrise location? Did I miss it???? I arrived at 4pm Friday to make a donation only to be told that there was a "sign" on the door outside (8 1/2x 11) with the new schedule. Also, How useful is a sign when The donor is already at the store? read more

I was there the other day and I put a shirt in my cart that was $4.99! I go to the register and it has an alarm tag on it so I asked her to remove it she takes the item to someone else comes back and says actually this shirt is $40!!!!! How dare you charge that much for a stupid shirt they said it was because of the brand I had no idea what the brand was and who cares it was a donation! The prices are getting outrageous and I've seen things priced for $99 and up on the regular racks not even on the special rack so if the shirt was $40 they would've priced it that way, Lord knows they do already. If you're gonna have the audacity to sell things that expensive then resell on Depop or eBay. a thrift store is for people to buy items cheaper if I wanted to pay that price I would've went to a retail store. I've also donated things there that I got from there a year prior that they up priced by 80% of what I got it for. Example I got a blazer for $14 didn't want it anymore gave it back I saw it on the rack for $99 no joke! read more

Well I used to love this store in the beginning, good prices, the sales were great, especially on senior days. But lately the colors that they put on sale (50 per cent off) are very few and far between. Prices have risen and if it's not on sale, a customer has to think twice about buying. I mean, after all, we're here to get a bargain, not to buy something that can be bought on the clearance rack at Kohl's for about the same price. Unfortunately, this store has very little shopping carts available, lately on senior day. I had to wait on line with buying customers to snatch their cart after they are done. I won't be coming here as often as I used to in the past. read more

Okay, So as someone who has worked in retail for YEARS and now works in a field where i take care of others I have to say, terrible customer service. Awful attitudes and plain disrespectful. I really did like the stuff they had to offer here but the two minute experience i had at the register makes me not want to ever come here again. The owner (or i think he is) seems nice but the people working there are just plain rude. I understand retail isnt the best job and can be frustrating, but to treat other people like that i just dont understand. I dont need a 10/10 awesome friendly customer service, But at least be polite. read more

So I love this store more than any store I've ever been to in my life I tell everyone that they need to shop there, I can't say enough good things about this place except one major thing I have against them is that there is one women who works on the floor who comes up to me EVERY SINGLE TIME I'm anywhere in the store that isn't the plus sized section and tells me "no your section is over there" (pointing to the plus sized section) yea I get it I'm fat but like that is really not ok, one time I literally just walked out and left my cart in the middle of the store so I could go cry in my car so yea my advice to the owners or managers or whoever is reading this and in charge of customer relations is to talk to your workers and tell them to mind their business when they see a fat person not in the plus size section and not make the PAYING CUSTOMERS feel terrible about themselves when trying to shop... read more

This was my first time at this thrift store and I was AMAZED. They had amazing items at affordable prices and great discounts. I was able to get Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, Lululemon and even a Dooney & Bourke. The management was so kind and my cashier wasn't half bad to look at either lol! I'll be back soon! read more

So excited to find out there's thrift store nearby. Been here like 4 times. Last time i went it's the Friday happy hour sale. The 1/2 off pricing is very very confusing. They have 6 colors on sale (3 colors on clothing and 3 on everything). You can only see signs in entrance and cashier but not throughout the store. I ended up paying more than i should on some items. You should handed a plier as to whats on sale to avoid confusion or make the half off everything like Unique does. Believe me, your store will surely be flooded by shoppers. read more

Dirty, loud, cluttered!! Went on senior day at 12 NOON., music was SO FREAKING LOUD, I hurried to get the heck out. The garments left on the floor got tangled in our cart wheel!!! Lines were long due to loud-talking "cashiers" chatting it up with customers. Couldn't tell you about what as I don't speak the language. I watched every customer get the privelegde of utilizing their phone number for computer entry, not me- I had to ask if she would allow me to give it. Set of bookends = $12.99 ...(???) Leaving the store, 3 loiterers were SITTING ON THE FURNITURE (END TABLES) FOR SALE ON THE SIDEWALK. They harassed me and my boyfriend about using the buy one get one free pizza slices on the receipt. Freaking dissappointing is all I can say. I like to browse the (sometimes vintage) jewelry in the cases but they were covered with clothing...It was so nice when it opened. It has turned to trash. What a pity. Hopefuly the new store, "Baldwin Dollar" next door won't turn to crap like this one did. read more
