I brought my car back to my shop and the Management was very helpful on solving my issue. He poured extra oil for free to see where it could possibly be leaking from and he was able to find the leak. Oil was leaking through a bad sensor, which had nothing to do with their service! They were all very helpful with me even when I was blaming them for my issue. Very professional.

They said they could and gave me a timeline for working on the vehicle that matched my needs. While I appreciate them getting me in on short notice, they consistently over-promised and under-delivered on when they would be able to work on my vehicle. They were able to diagnose a couple of leaks that they thought were the problem and sent me photos to show me what they were looking at. In the past when I've left my car at this shop for work they sent over a detailed estimate before starting the work, but this time I only received the verbal estimate over the phone. I drive an old car, which isn't worth much, and I did let the person know that I wasn't interested in investing more in repairs than the vehicle is worth. As it was, the two leaks were just over $1K to fix, and I OK'd the work to begin. After fixing the first two leaks, they then came back and told me there was a third leak, which would require a more major repair to the transmission and they would have to have their transmission person (who wasn't there that weekend) send me an estimate the next day. While I understand that it's plausible that the third leak wasn't something they could have originally diagnosed, it felt a bit weird that the photo they used to show me the leak was one of the original photos they had sent before starting any work. If the leak was visible in that photo, I'm unclear why they couldn't have diagnosed it earlier. The added cost of this additional repair definitely tips the scales of worth-it/not-worth-it to repair vs replace this car, so I wish I had had all the information before deciding to make the initial repairs. Unfortunately, despite stabilizing the ATF level, fixing the leaks did not resolve the transmission issue. On a smaller scale, they didn't check or top up the tire pressure, which most mechanics I've gone to have done as a courtesy when working on my vehicle. The day after I picked up my car the tire pressure light went on, and when I checked my tires all four of them had low pressure. It's a small thing, but especially when dealing with expensive mechanical items like cars, the small things matter a lot in creating a sense of security and trust with your mechanic. They did mention that they were under new management since the last time I had been in, which may account for the different experiences.

I look for service, responsiveness, and most of all quality and workmanship. Dr Wheel covers all the bases. I'll be honest, I was a little suspect at first. Their process seemed a little too good to be true. After getting various quotes from a range of others, the price was all over the place from too cheap to extraordinarily expensive. Dr. Wheel is on the lower side of the equation. The other thing, they come to your house. Say what? Got me wondering how solid of a repair we were looking at. Well, once I dug into the process, saw that the work is warranted for a year, I figured I'd give them a shot. First, we had them do two aftermarket wheels which relatively minor damage. The result was pretty incredible. The wheels looked good as new and honestly, I couldn't remember where the blemishes were . Months later the wheels looked great. Today, we got four wheels on my wife's car done, all with curb rash to a varying degree and the result was great. The challenge today wasn't the damage, it actually wasn't super complex or extensive. It was the color. From the factory, the color is pretty unique, but the Dr. Wheel team got it pretty much exactly. A special shout out to Jonathan, who came out to our house twice and did a great job. Friendly, professional, thorough, and just an all around solid dude. Not that I hope to get more curb rash on any of our wheels (nor do I wish that for you!), but if we do, we will definitely go back to them. We've already referred them to a few neighbors.

The gentleman on the phone said the transmission fluid is for life unless I'm towing or carrying heavy loads. When I questioned why I see that it's recommended online he says that dealers will recommend this service all day but if you check the Toyota maintenance manual it says you don't need it. Man! I haven't even been to this shop yet and I'm already getting a good feeling about this place. It's a bit more expensive for an oil change than other places that have quoted me, but I like that they use factory parts including Toyota oil filters. I'll update this review once I get the car in for my first visit. Stay tuned.... 6/29/26 - Brought my Sienna in for an oil change + complimentary 30-point inspection (since it was my first time there). Jared took the van for a spin, brought it back and lifted it up. They found a little oil seepage coming out of the transfer case. I let them know that I did see a transfer case drain/fill on the CarFax report before I bought it. Jared thinks they just didn't torque it properly so they were going to retorque and clean up around the area and keep an eye on it. Worst case scenario, they would need to order a new drain plug gasket and I'd have to come back to get it replaced. Thankfully, the drain plug just needed to get tightened. I was in and out in almost exactly an hour just as Robert promised. Thanks The Toy Shop team!! Pro Tip: they are booked out at least a week in advanced so make your appointment ASAP!

They kept me for two hours, tried to align my car three different times, and even sent me off saying everything was good--only for my car to immediately pull hard to the right. I had to go back, and in the end, they just refunded me because they couldn't complete the job. After that disappointment, I went online to find another alignment shop and came across Trust Alignment in Long beach. From the moment I spoke with them, I felt reassured. I explained my situation, and they understood right away. They told me to come by, promised to check everything out, and even said they wouldn't charge me if they couldn't fix it. Sure enough, they did the job right and my car has never driven better. The difference is night and day. These guys really live up to their name. I truly trust them, and I'd recommend Trust Alignment to anyone who wants their car done right the first time.

ANYBODY EVEN ENTERTAINING THE IDEA OF GOING HERE DO NOT! Trust me I'm saving you a whole bunch of TIME and MONEY. Now I went to this place at first just to fix my front bearings on my car and upon completion the guy working in the front was giving me the details of the job they did. They fixed the front bearings just fine, but then insisted that my transmission was in danger and that I should buy a new transmission with them so they can install it immediately. Now the only other problem than the front bearings and I know this for a fact was the misfiring of the engine which is easily fixed with new spark plugs, but the guy at the front desk kept shoving down my throat his whole story about how I need to get this transmission immediately and then he told me the price. $1500 to $1900 for the transmission part ALONE YOU GUYS. NOT INCLUDING THE LABOR WHICH IS BOUND TO BE JUST AS RIDICULOUS AS THE PART! So after all that was done I went to autozone to get some new spark plugs and installed them myself and sure enough the "transmission problem" the manager was so keen on wanting me to buy wasn't really the case because my car drove perfect after the spark plugs were installed. So I went to the shop again the next morning because upon installing my new spark plugs I noticed they forgot to put my engine cover on. When I got to the shop I happened to bump into the mechanic that worked on my car and we were talking about the misfiring and I told him that they had it wrong with this new expensive transmission they wanted to swindle me into buying and the mechanics tells me that he told the manager that it was all along just a SPARK PLUG AND WIRING PROBLEM! WHICH MEANS THE BASTARD AT THE FRONT DESK WAS LYING AND SWIDLING ME INTO BUYING A PART THAT DIDN'T EVEN HAVE TO BE INSTALLED! SO PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS MECHANIC SHOP! THEY ARE LIARS AND CHEATS AND SWINDLE ANYBODY WITH LITTLE KNOWLEDGE ON CARS read more

TLDR: They use the wrong parts, I had to replace myself. Offered me a refund they never gave after having me mail back the parts. I brought my 87 honda accord dx to the shop to have some minor damage repaired on my drivers side front tire. They needed to replace, a control arm, spindle, strut, coil spring and lower suspension control arm. I provided all parts except the spindle. They charged me for a new one. They installed a used one. Not only a used one, one that didn't fit my car. A few months down the road I noticed my steering wheel would shake when I braked. I looked and found the spindle, hub and lower ball joint were all used, in horrible shape and not even the proper size for my car. The hub was too large for stock rotors and the larger rotor they had put on it was pressed up against my caliper and scraping against it harshly, I could not turn the wheel by hand. This cause the rotor to warp. Also they didn't tighten my strut mount when they put it back on and I had to replace the bushing for it as well because of that. I had previously replaced both my passengers side and drivers side lower ball joints so I could easily tell the loose old one on the drivers side they replaced was used. The spindle and it's entire assembly that they replaced my damaged one with was old, the wrong part and dangerous. It cost me time and resources in the future to fix the issue they created. They intentionally and knowingly ripped me off. They offered a refund but never gave it, even after having me mail back the parts. read more

Honesty is the best policy, but I rarely ever see it. When was the last time you got honesty when it came to dealing with work on your car??? Well bingo! I found a place, enter American Tire and yes they are honest. I've been to so many places in Long Beach that ripped me off, did a brake job, tire check or what ever was needed at the time on my car and had it done wrong or they did work that didn't need to be done. Then I found American Tire, I pulled in to get an oil change and that was all that was done, nobody trying to tell me my tires were wore etc. As I was coming to pick up my car, I saw two of the workers crawling around in my trunk, which last I checked was not where the oil changing took place. Suspicious, I asked what they were doing. "Oh we're just putting in a new brake light," "When we checked it had burned out." the worker replied. I thanked him and was in shock. For the first time someone did something nice and free. Wow, that just saved me a potential ticket for a light out and free! I was pleased! They just got my business now and forever! I don't write reviews--but this one is for Eddie! I caught a flat and went to Firestone (closer to my office) first--they took 4 hours to tell me it couldn't be fixed, and the cheapest new tire would be over $200. I wasn't having that, so I found an el cheapo tire online for $75, which I planned to order. To be sure the flat couldn't be fixed (2015 hi performance tire w/ less than 5k miles on it), I thought I'd get a 2nd opinion. I found American Tire a few blocks away. Took my flat over there, they checked it out immediately and Eddie SHOWED me the puncture and explained why it couldn't be repaired--what a concept! :-) Eddie me a new tire offer that was more than I wanted to pay. Eddie asked me what I wanted to pay, and I told him about the online price I found. He offered to match it! Saved me the trouble of ordering it, getting it delivered to my house, slogging it to a shop, etc. Long story short, about $100 later, I have a new tire and a tire store I'll be with for as long as I'm in Long Beach! Ask for Eddie. And if Eddie's boss is reading this--give that man a raise! read more

omg, i already knew what type of issue my car was having so i intended to get an estimate and possibly service. i brought my son in with me and after explaining to the manager Adolfo he made it priority to check my car out to see if it was safe to drive. after 3 mins he took my car in told me exactly whats wrong and urged to take care of it for both my son and my safety. i explained i needed to take my son to day care and he arranged for a ride for me. i then got to meet Dre who was personable and willing to help me any way he could. i have never had an experience quite like this everyone was so helpful and friendly. i usually call my dad and give him a play by play of what the technician tells me but this i didnt have to. i had complete confidence and trust that they'd take care of my car for my son and i. im telling everyone i know about their service and to top it off my service was inexpensive, i couldnt believe it. thank you Adolfo, Dre, Darrin, and Arturo. i will definitely be back read more

I have to say that their is a reason all these people love coming to this location. That reason is Eddie G. and his staff Willy and Jose. I went in at 4:30pm thinking I was too late for a set of tires and I came to find out that they could get the hole job done 1/2 an hour. This place has everything you need great oil change prices, wheel aligments and all car needs. But was stands out is the exceptional customer service, the level of care Eddie shows each of his customers is superb. Did I forget to mention free flat repair on any tire or car. For the first time ever I feel like I got my moneys worth when dealing with car issues. No pushy salesmen and Eddie walks out to your car and explains what areas are doing good and which need immediate attetion. Now in days is hard to trust a car care facility, but having said that I found a great spot here in Long Beach. Thanks again Eddie for.the tires and the 0 intrest on my purchase. So I came back on to fix a problem my car was having. Deago was nice and handled my problem. He gave me options not obligations. American Tire Depot is my go to mechanic. They were fast and handled business. ~~Updated 2-10-16 I'm back again! Eddie is really helpful. He said he could've matched my CostCo tire price. My Dad insisted I go to CostCo to get my tires. So I did. They told me 3 and a half hours max. After 7.5 hour of waiting I finally received my tires. On my way home I noticed it was pulling to The right. Which CostCo said "could be The alignment". After waiting another 2 hours. CostCo Doesn't do do that:( American Tire Depot is amazing! they were honest and a full service tire center. They have your Back. They Do alignments and they were fast. Jonathan was extremely helpful! Hands down the best customer service we have ever encountered. We had an issue with one of the American Tire Depot store before we called Jonathan. The Sales Rep there was very unhelpful and condescending about their "stock tires". I had a confirmed appointment for today July 21st, went in just for him to tell us the tires we selected were not in stock? Like what? Then he tried to up-sale different tires which ranged from $200 and up! no sorry I know what tires I had picked and for him to lie that the tires I wanted are not in stocked locally. I want to give a huge thanks to Marco and the team at American Tire Depot. This place is a lifesaver if you're near downtown Long Beach. Today, after leaving the gym on a Saturday afternoon, I found my tire completely flat. After adding some air, I started searching for nearby tire shops. American Tire Depot stood out, responding quickly to my call, and Marco assured me I could come right in. I was amazed by how fast and efficient their service was, especially on a weekend. After seeing the reviews and per the advice of my city council members I was guided in American Tire Depots direction. This is a one stop shop for everything. Eddie the store manager a local boy that is now working in his neighborhood and helping the community. American Tire Depot corporate management you guy's have a diamond in the ruff. I've used Yelp for years but have never posted a review. I was compelled to post a review for American Tire Depot because of Rick. I don't know if he's the manager or owner, but he/they really helped me out in a bind to get some quick work done, and Rick was straightforward, transparent, and trustworthy. My brother works at a dealership where I get all my work done and have for years. Due to timing, I called around different local shops and American Tire Depot were not only cheapest, but they helped me out right away, no hassles. Only reason I hesitate to post this is b/c they may get busier due to all these great reviews. Worth it though. Thanks Rick! read more

Jesse the Service Writer and Anibal the diagnostic mechanic- Kudos!!! We drive older cars because we are cheap. We know we need a reliable, good mechanic that respects our wallet (cheapness) and can explain and help us prioritize our repairs to suit our finances and concerns for durability. I inspected the old parts after the repairs and they were exactly as described. No alarmist bullshit, just straight forward evaluations. Now and then we have to spend a small portion of the money we save from "no car payments" and put it into maintenance. I am happy to do that here at ATD - Long Beach with Jesse and Anibal read more

I have had the pleasure working with Mgr. George at the Long Beach site at 909 LB Blvd and meet him while he was an Asst Mgr at the Hermosa Bch site. He is diligent in getting your vehicle serviced and runs a tight station with his mechanics, making sure that the details to your auto are done thoroughly! He's an easy guy but takes care of business with finesse! I have in the past, left the Hermosa site and only take my VW Jetta 2013 to his LB site because I know I can trust him with the cares of my auto service. 2 separate visits within a week, 2 separate vehicles - mine and my wife's. I had tires put on my wife's car, and was back to have more work done and put on tires on my SUV. The shop has competitive prices, well equipped and is remarkably friendly. The technicians and management are knowledgeable and very, very helpful in explaining everything they are doing which is one of the main reasons in returning. Woke up to find a flat tire this morning. I have AAA called them and they took off tire and put on my spare. We discovered the thread was fine but there was a nail in my tire. I went in to American tire to have the tire fixed. I was in and out in under 30 minutes. Great customer service. I observed that the person at the front counter was Very courteous and patient with a difficult customer. It was no charge to fix the flat!!!! I asked the other staff member for advice and she told me she has nothing to say because he's the boss. So I agreed to sign and continue business with him and he told me not to look at him, I was so baffled. I had to keep my mouth closed because I needed the service because I couldn't drive my car anymore. He had no compassion and was using his authority to intimidate me, telling me not to look at him while we're having a conversation. If I wasn't desperate for service I would and never will do any business with this company let alone this location.. I'm highly disappointed on the service I've felt with today.

I made an…read moreappointment as I didn't want to wait and needed it fix quickly (same day) and they were the only reputable shops (one of my mechanics recommended) that had same day availability for an appointment, although they do take walk ins. I didn't want to risk it. Anyway, I take the car in for my appointment and meet Nathan. Professional, efficient, etc. He advised me that patching/plugging a tire is free which I didn't realize. Pleasant surprise! He also let me know about my tire condition for all fours and let me know what replacing two rears would cost (performance tires = replace same side/size at a time). But here's the thing, he provided the info but there wasn't an uncomfortable hard sell. He was professional and comprehensive but at no time did I feel like I was being sweated or pressured. In fact, I remember sitting there thinking, "huh, well heck maybe I'll just buy them here when the time comes!" That's solely because Nathan came at me as a professional, with expertise, a calm composed demeanor, and information (not a pitch). As someone who has worked in the auto industry, including as a senior executive, it was so refreshing to be in a space seeing a young professional with a passion and expertise for his craft. Delivering it in a way that wasn't to aggressively close a deal but foster a relationship that would create a long term commitment to the brand. America's Tire, pay attention!
