I was driving on the freeway when my car started shaking we got scared (My babies and myself) I know that something was wrong with my car but I have had bad experiences with Auto shop about lying to me telling me that I need all new tires and that I needed all of this other things and driving away feeling ripped off feeling that they just took Advantage of a women that doesn't know better. =0(--So I asked a friend she told me about performance plus and to ask for David Quinones. David was very helpful he took the time to help me I told him that when I would get on the freeway and drove over 60 miles my car starts shaking, that it had a funny smell, and about that squeaky sound it made every time I come to a stop.. David smiled at me, took a deep breath and shook his head took my car keys and gave them to the mechanic . A while later David and Fernando the mechanic took the time to explained and show me what the problem was and the best way to make my car drive better, safer and to save gas =o). David answered all of my questions he told me that a cracked seal was the reason that my car had that funny smell (it was an oil leak), that my brake pads were worn out, and that I only need two tires that the ones in the back were still good and that the reason why my front tires were worn out was because I need and alignment (And I know what an Alignment is know Thank you David-- LOL) That really impressed me being a single Mom I don't know much about cars and it is very important for me to find a place that makes you feel like you are not being taken advantage of especially when money is tight. David worked with me when it can down to the cost explaining to me every item and what the cost was. I was very satisfied with the price and the great customer services was free.. Performance plus is not cheap but for the quality of work that they do it is well worth it. by the time my car was really and I was driving away with a very good feeling on the investment that I made on my car. It didn't shake when I drive it on the freeway.. No more funny smell. I have a Big Smile on my face writing this review for Performance Plus Thank you David and Fernando for making my car a safe one.. I do drive precious cargo in this car and that is my Babies.. Ok....where do I start?!! I've been going to Performance Plus for YEARS!!! The All-Star Staff from Ricky, Hank, David, Chris, Louis, Angel, Houng, etc....the list is long...Have all been there for me for all of my cars over the years. From wheels, tires, suspension, alignments, oil changes, puncture repairs, polishing, etc...another long list...they all have been upfront and honest as to what I need and what I can do without. I'm always greated with a smile, firm handshake, and a "how have you been?"...this really makes for a trusting business/customer relationship. From my own family, friends and co-workers, Performance Plus have always provided Absolute Great Customer Service to us all. I have been managing in the Customer Service / Insurance industry for a long time and I know what is expected to KEEP customers for a long time, and Performance Plus DOES just that!!! It's a great atmosphere for a car guy, like myself, so I never feel like I'm a bother to the staff...In this economy, for a company to be BUSY is a good thing. This is a testament to their solid foundation of treating customers the right way...We keep coming back!!! I feel confident dropping off my car in order for the work to be done, since I know I will get a follow-up phone call when the car is ready or if they run into an unexpected concern, cost, or other option before proceeding with the job -- no surprises at the end. I tend to 'wait' to have my car worked on, and that allows me to chit-chat with the other customers and 10 out of 10 customers always praise the great customer service...and they are glad to hear my experiences over the years (over 10 solid, committed, and great years as a customer) I know I have saved over Thousands of dollars over the years just by keeping my business with Performance Plus and I'm very happy about that :) In the long run, no matter what I have spent on products and services at Performance, I know for a fact that my enjoyment with their company and great staff have all made every purchase worth it and to know the peace of mind that every job was done right is just icing on the cake....looking forward to more years with Performance Plus!!! read more

I called in and asked a nice lady that helped out with my questions really easily. I asked if they did alignments for lowered cars and she said yes with a great price for $89.99. So I head over and waited for over an hour and a half before they started on my car which I wasn't to mad about. When they finally started working on my car the mechanic told me I needed to buy parts which was a wheel bearing, 4 camber kits for each tire and an inner tie rod in which he told me how much parts and labor would cost. He said each camber kit is $100 with $100 for each side labor cost which alone was already $800 for parts and labor. Then he told me I needed one wheel bearing which he didn't give me the price for but labor would cost $250. And an inner tie rod which I didn't ask for parts and labor. So after leaving I end up buying all the parts which I spent $75 for two front camber kits and $30 on the wheel bearing and one inner tie rod. My uncle who is a mechanic told me to buy the parts and for us to do it ourselves instead of paying for labor. My uncle who wouldn't try to screw me with what I have to buy told me after fixing the whole car said and proved that all I needed to change for an alignment was the two front camber kits. The wheel bearing and inner tie rod in is working properly. So basically this mechanic from that shop was trying to rip me off on buying parts I didn't need and huge labor cost. I spent $75 on two camber kits when there mechanic was charging me over $1200 on parts and labor. I would never go to this place again. So please everyone be careful when going to mechanics that can rip you off and tell you you need all these different parts to get your car to run normal again. I wouldn't trust this place that mechanic was a complete liar. read more

5 Stars -- Truly Exceptional Service I cannot express enough kudos and appreciation for the entire team at Performance Plus Tire in Long Beach. I had an unexpected emergency tire issue right before a holiday weekend -- the worst timing possible -- and I needed to get out of town. They didn't just help... they saved my plans. From the moment I arrived, Louie, Jose, Pablo, Page, and Andy treated me with genuine care, urgency, and professionalism. They found a way to accommodate my situation quickly and safely, and I left feeling confident about continuing my trip. The shop itself is extremely well‑kept -- clean, organized, and clearly managed with pride. The environment feels welcoming, and the team works together seamlessly. Another bonus: if you drop off your car, there are shopping areas and food options nearby. You can easily walk, or take a quick Uber to grab a bite or browse stores while they work on your vehicle. It makes the whole experience even more convenient. I would recommend Performance Plus Tire to anybody and everybody -- whether you're dealing with an emergency or just need routine service. I'm one who doesn't take the time to review businesses, however in the case of Performance Tire I will. I've purchased tires several times from this company, and every time I've dealt with Brian Tamms who has demonstrated excellent knowledge of tires, and his customer service style is no pressure haggle-free. I'm sure the other staff members are well versed in providing good service as well, as I've discussed it with other customers and they've all had nothing but praises for the attention and expertise that they also received. Additionally, I must say that even the staff out in the service area are friendly and respectful to the customers as well, and they do an excellent job. I used to always check the internet to check prices, to see if I was in fact getting a good deal. Not any more, as I'm confident that buying local from Performance Tire is going be the best deal for prices and excellent customer service. Needed particular size, low profile Studless tires for EU nameplate - oddly unavailable in Japan - and for which my search led me to US, to PPT & David Quinones in particular. Even then, the tires were non-stock, and so from Ohio - where a set was located after some searching - to PPT in Long Beach, and on to Tokyo, David trumped. He worked through several '& more' logistics communications over a few week period, to deliver door to door, hassle free for me from any shipping or customs delay, the tires I needed....and it has to be said, at price that made sense for me. [Even reciprocating of some short banter, beyond the actual order communications, provided that 'human contact' in B2C transaction. ......indeed, it 'could be' that David might not object to an odd Guinness;-)]. I've no doubts about recommending PPT for those that also might need to consider 'at first unseen' online orders......even - when the case is right - for non-US resident Customers! Absolute BEST customer service and prices. I worked with Chris to get my 2007 F250 set up with wheels, tires, front shocks and a leveling kit. With all that i saved $800-$1000 by not going elsewhere. They beat everybodys prices and previous quotes i had by a huge margin and they still made money. I did have to work at it but we met and agreed and went through with it. While i was there one of their employees accidentally backed the owners prize old school cadillac into my front bumper and left a good size dent. No questions asked they replaced my bumper with a new one. Ricky was great about that. Good thing there was no damage to the cadillac. The employee was very apologetic and felt bad. Mistakes do happen. I would recommend this place over any that i've ever been and would go back to them again if i was still in socal. I'll probably mail order through them when i need to. I took my car to Performance Plus after I was told by the dealership that two of my motor mounts needed to be replaced. As it turns out only one of my motor mounts was bad and they could've just changed both and charged me I never would've known, but they are HONEST and told me I just needed one. They would NEVER charge you for something you don't need. David is very nice and extremely helpful; and Hung and Efrain did a great job on my car. Thank you! The service is great, prices are awesome and they are trustworthy; what more could you ask for? They have bikes out front if you're in the mood for a bike ride, the restroom is one of the cleanest and nicest I've seen anywhere and there's a Coke cooler in the corner with complimentary bottled water! read more
