Our lawn received a "Liquid Spring Aeration" today for $94 WITHOUT our consent. I returned home to find an invoice on our front door and a sign in the grass warning that pesticides had been applied. As a cancer survivor who also has a dog and small child who are outside playing quite often, I do not appreciate my lawn being sprayed with chemicals. I had to take my dog down the street to go potty, and my son won't be able to play in our yard for who knows how long. While we've used this company in the past, we did not authorize today's service, nor did we reply to the text we received last week notifying us they'd be in the area. Instead, we got a text saying they'd completed the service this morning. Sounds like trespassing to me considering we did not authorize access. read more

American Turf and Tree Technician, Gus Hemmes, treats trees regularly at our commercial building in Windsor. He keeps them looking healthy and even brought one back from near death to where it looks great! This time, he notified me immediately that there was a problem with a certain group of trees that appeared to be stressed. Beginning with his suggestions, I am looking into the possible causes. With concerns about our lawn's color variations I called ATTC. The respondent was lacking in - as they say - "bedside manner." Last week the tech showed up at the exact same time as our sprinkler person. They chatted and the tech rescheduled. Yesterday, the tech came and I watched him do the application for just long enough to see him doing an exceptionally thorough, even job. I appreciate that! Our lawn's recovering from burn spots but with the fixed sprinkler and new application I'll betcha it'll be looking terrific by next week. Thank you! read more

When I called to get an estimate they called back instantly and we got a service scheduled within a few days. American turf has already been here and handled it. Very disappointed in the application. I didn't know that my sidewalks, patio and drive way needed a lawn treatment. I believe there is as much on the concrete as there is on the grass. I have liked the results but not happy about the mess that was left on concrete. read more

I do not recommend this company. They left me a text that they would be doing my yard in the am on Tuesday. I stayed until 1:00 in order to watch for them, unlock my gate, and bring my pets inside. They did not show up............and no phone call. When I called in today they said that the person scheduled to do my yard had a VA appointment he had to keep. Pretty sure these types of appointments are scheduled in advance and this company should have notified me of the change in schedule. When he arrived and I was not here to unlock the gate, he would not do any of my yard, (the front was open and available). I tried to schedule them to come out this week and do the front yard only as I have appointments scheduled that would not allow me to be home any of the remainder of this week. THEY REFUSED. THEY SAID THAT IF THEY CANNOT DO BOTH THE BACK AND THE FRONT YARDS.....THEY WILL NOT DO ANY. Do not hire this company.....they will not work with you. They are rude on the phone. They told me that is man would lose his VA benefits if he missed his appointment. How dare they accuse me of wanting him to miss his appointment. All I wanted was a notification of the change in time. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. I moved from Lakewood to Greeley. I had Growing Green in Lakewood for 10 years and they were amazing. This company could and should take lessons from Growing Green on professionalism, and how a company should run. DO NOT HIRE THIS POORLY RUN AND MANAGED COMPANY. I have a two acre yard. They have taken care of my trees for years. Great Service and Great Products.

We are pleased with the service except for one problem - we are having to replace some vines, plants, and shrubs due to, what seems to be, either hurrying or carelessness and spraying the solutions on more than the lawn. We would appreciate taking a little more time to avoid this. Otherwise the service is good. read more

We have had American Turf and tree for about 4 years now. There have been a few bumps along the way with our yard (Our house was a new construction), but they have worked with us and tried to keep costs within a budget that we can manage. They are always here when they say they will be here. They come out to spot treat for weeds when requested, and have stopped out for consults when we have had issues with our yard. Worst Company ever! They seriously call me every two weeks so they can apply their over rated lawn applications that do not work. Who's seriously has the money to get their lawns treated every two weeks!! And they always call and say they are going to do this but need my permission which I never give so they just give up. Until they apply an application and then send me a bill for it. An application that I did not authorize!!! When I did allow them to apply stuff the technicians were never on time or they always called to post pone. I would rather have a dead yard than write a check to this horrible company !! read more
