Rarely do I ever write a review, but this pharmacy deserves the credit. I happen to stumble into this pharmacy by accident when one of my providers sent my prescription to this location instead of CVS next town over. Boy, was that a blessing. I'm greeted by my name, treated with kindness and care each and every time. Everyone is a pleasure. I'm in my 30s, and It reminds me of a local pharmacy my parents used to go to when I was a child. You don't feel like you are just another customer which is hard to find these days. Simply put this pharmacy feels like home. The added bonus is the home delivery. The owner Dave is very nasty They are not very accommodating I have been with them for many years. The staff is great,however I have been treated terribly by the owner. I ordered a gel cushion, which was much too big I sent it back just the way it came in the same packaging. Dave called to tell me it was non refundable and that I always return things. I was in an emergency and needed to purchase items quickly as my nephew got injured. I stood behind the counter ready to pay. There were 3 employees behind the glass window looking at me and not proceeding to help. I had to ask 3 times for no one to help me and there was a line forming behind me. Been using Americare for years and have always received warm, caring service, and my family has benefitted from home delivery on so many occasions. Parking need not be an issue in the new location as you can use the Dunkin Donuts lot across the street! I have been in the store when, occasionally, another customer has argued with Dave because it was too soon to fill a prescription, but my observations have been that he is always respectful and tries to contact the doctor when appropriate. Small pharmacy on Main Street with parking in front. Pharmacists can be extremely helpful or not. When they're good, they're very good.Woman who answers the phone always seems bored. The store closes early on Saturday and is closed on Sunday, which is not a good thing if you have an emergency prescription on those days. Free delivery is wonderful. read more

The owner and operator here knows you by name from the moment you first meet. One of the only local places that deliver to a single residence. They will gladly special order for you, have full medical supplies and accept Medicare RX payment, and work with my outpatient hospital prescription changes without asking me over and over for the phone number. Are they slick and corporate like a CVS or Walgreen's? No. Do they have refrigerated cases of Diet Coke and aisles of snacks and candy? No. They're an old fashioned Mom and Pop style pharmacy and I'll take their personalized and prompt service any day. read more

If you care about the service and quality of your pharmacy please take this review as words of wisdom! I have multiple medical conditions that require my pharmacist to know me and understand my condition and my over eccentric requirements for particular brands od my generic medications, I only would use a " mom and pop " pharmacy as rule #1 ! I have lived in Alpine where I used Hudson Drugs , I lived in the West Village for 15 years where I only used Bigelow. I have now returned to NJ and moved in to one of Fort Lee not so Luxury high rises ( that's another review ) I in the past had used AJ's in Cliffside Park & Junction Rx both pharmacies I was happy with . Unfortunately AJ's burn down and Junction also suffered tragedy. My condition hinders my driving and I am in NYC so a car would be a bit superfluous- I had once before used Americare and I had a good experience ( in 2014 one of my meds was unattainable ) and to get 120 was imposible I would often settle for less and lose out on a week of my meds , then I went to Americare they had my medication and they had the best generic brand of it , this was an amazing feat , so now that I live down the block and my other trusted Rx have had unfortunate issues beyond their control I Quickly recalled Americare and the A+ experience I had their . I now have all 4 of my Dr's ( No I don't Dr Shop ) escript my meds to Americare where my meds are ready for me , with the generics I requested ( it only took 1 request ) and I can say without hesitation that being the unfortunate maven of pharmacies this is the ABSOLUTE BEST PHARMACY I have ever used , better then Bigelow who are widely considered the finest pharmacy in NYC , I love my other rx's , but let it be know this is the most well run operation , with the most attentive and professional pharmacists and Assistants, they have a personal relationship with every customer that enters their door , I could not possibly ask for more and that alone is the best compliment I can give any establishment because I am the most eccentric and educated consumer ( aka pain in the ass) possible , I have serious ailments and I never need to add drug store anxiety to the list, it is terrible not knowing everything is taken care of nd no need to worry they forgot I need the Sadoz generic or it ruins my month, they never let me down. Terrible experience. This store is dishonest, unethical and nasty. They take advantage of elderly sick people. Ordered something for my sister who has cancer, they delivered a totally different product. Then when I drove there to return it, they accused me of using the product and would not take it back. One of the reasons I returned this is that there was no seal on it. Also the product I ordered was for sensitive skin and it said on this bottle "not for prolonged contact with skin." I wouldn't have used it to clean my floors, let alone on skin! Ordered by phone but when I walked in, the store looked so dirty, I'm surprised they are a licensed pharmacy. read more

I would not even give this place one star but I have to give something to complete this review. Most of the other reviews says that David is so nice and compassionate well he is not. Last week I had a prescription delivered to my home, however the medication bottle had someone else's name on it so it was returned to the delivery person. I called the pharmacy and spoke with David myself and he said there was nothing that could be done. I spoke with my insurance company and they said that it is up to the pharmacy to reverse the order but David refuses to reverse or even refund my co-payment. He said, "It's so inexpensive, you can pay it again." Well I guess that is how they try to stay in business by cheating people out of their money. David is NOT nice, he is a liar and unethical. And I agree with the previous reviewer the place is very dirty, and unclean. There is not an ounce of desire for me to use this place ever again. I wonder how they are staying in business at all. But I will do my part and complain to everyone and anyone who will hear me. read more
