This place is both Excellent & Horrible. 1. THE EXCELLENT PHARMACIST: The morning pharmacist deserves a "10+" rating -- she helped me fill scripts that were from my Austin, TX home & she battled a reluctant insurance company. PLEASE, PLEASE THANK THAT PHARMACIST!!!! 2. BAD FRONT REGISTER CHECK-OUT LADY: OUCH!!! I encountered a terrible, awful check-out lady .... I am handicapped, it is painful to move, BUT I was going to buy over $100 in items ... but her attitude was so rude. She never said "please" ... Instead, it was just: "put the card in now," "pull it out," "give me that bag if you aren't going to buy it." OUCH!! So I decided NOT to BUY my goods from her -- I just bought my prescriptions, I left & I bought my items from the grocer at a lower price. I don't want to get her in trouble -- maybe she just needs training. BUT she ruined all the good feelings I had about that great pharmacist... I looked to see the gal's name, but she had 80% of her name tag covered up AND I didn't see her name on the receipt. 3. DENIED EMERGENCY RESTROOM: I'm handicapped & was having a sudden "urgent liquid issue," but I was told "company policy: customers can not use our restroom. I was in pain. 4. HARD TO CARRY GOODS TO FRONT: I tried to carry my $100+ worth of items to the front register using my walker, but they kept falling -- no one helped. AND my legs were aching. WHEN I FINALLY did get all items to the front, I encounter that grumpy sales lady. Also, no one helped me get my heavy items outside to the taxi. IN SUMMARY: Please try better training--thanks!!

Awful. They are rude and not helpful. They are providing medications to people and could not be more useless. Never again at Duane Reade!

At some point, when you pay $22 for a bottle of over the counter cough syrup and a 12 pack of Coke, you start rethinking your life choices.

I walked into a space that covers a lot of ground, from snacks and drinks to beauty products, home goods, and collectibles, and the density of what is on display makes it easy to spend more time browsing than I planned. The snack selection is the strongest draw and covers an impressive range. I saw Asian versions of familiar American snacks sitting alongside Japanese and Korean originals, and the drink section downstairs is broad enough that finding something I have not tried before is a near certainty. The variety of drinks, many with anime or character branding, reflects a buying approach that goes beyond the standard convenience store selection. The beauty and skincare section upstairs is well stocked with Korean and Japanese brands that are not widely available at American drugstores. I browsed through everything from face wash to sheet masks and specialty treatments, and the prices are competitive for imported products of this type. Blind boxes occupy their own significant section, and the selection across different series is one of the better in the city, with reasonable pricing relative to what the same items cost at specialty toy stores. Home goods, toys, collectibles, and kawaii accessories fill the remaining floor space. For a one stop shop for Korean and Japanese lifestyle goods, snacks, and beauty products in Koreatown, TESO Life delivers a broad and browsable experience that rewards repeat visits.

I want to report that this website continues to post and promote products that are clearly a scam…read more In my case, I placed an order for body creams on March 3rd, and the company that processed the charge on my account was a completely different one called MELIO. Right after they charged me, the order was canceled with the excuse that I had requested the cancellation, which is absolutely false. I never canceled anything. Since then, my money has been in dispute because: The company does not respond to emails. They only send automated messages saying someone will get in touch with me, but no one ever does. Meanwhile, MELIO claims that they already sent the money to the seller and is now asking me to either pay again or provide my card number so they can try to charge me again. Absolutely not! This is robbery. I should not have to lose my money like this. And who is going to compensate me for the damage? This situation is unacceptable. I have already reported this case to: My credit card company The Better Business Bureau The appropriate authorities here in California These two companies are working together to scam people. I walked into a store that is essentially one large room, and the density of product on display meant navigating it during a busy period required some patience, but the selection within that compact space was broader than the size suggested. The Korean literature section covers both Korean language and English language editions across a range of genres, which makes it genuinely useful for anyone studying the language or looking for titles that are difficult to find at general bookstores in the city. I saw children's books in Korean, well stocked. The K pop side of the store covers albums, photocards, posters, keychains, stickers, and merchandise across a wide range of artists, with BTS having a particularly strong presence historically alongside newer groups. Pricing runs higher than what I would pay ordering online or finding the same items at a larger retailer, which is the standard trade off for a specialty shop in Manhattan. Album prices in particular can be steep, though sale events bring them down to more competitive territory. Individual accessory items like stickers and bookmarks are priced at a premium relative to their size, so going in with a sense of what I am willing to spend helps avoid sticker shock at the register. The store is a reliable stop for anyone looking for Korean books or K pop merchandise in a physical retail setting in New York, with the caveat that the pricing and the crowd level are both factors worth knowing about before I go.
