The people who work in the pharmacy dept are excellent, very friendly and helpful however the workers in the retail section need some serious training in customer service. I realize its hard for retailers to find good workers but the retail workefs from the Sunday morning shift need to be retrained. From havi g no response to you when you greet them with a goid morning to a looking down to the floor when you do get a verbal response its amazing they ever pass theirhiring interview. To top it off after making over a $40 dollar purchase i was folled by one of the incompetent staff workers when i stopped to look at a product in one of the aisles. Like i really a. Going to steal something after making a purchase when you have my name, credit card number and cvs extra savings card information on file. Recently had my flu vaccine at this CVS. Which is important as I am a teacher, and we know how quickly the flu spreads in the fall. It took no time and all and the staff was so friendly and professional. I definitely recommend this CVS. read more

First, STOP profiling customers. I walk into this location to buy medicine and water because I am not feeling well, & therefore, am dressed up in layers to stay warm. This was enough to conclude to the worker at the front of the store that somehow I was suspicious, because as I am trying to purchase my medicine and water, he notices my card declined, he comes over & STANDS BY ME THE ENTIRE TIME as I am on my phone trying to confirm the security checkpoints on my account. He proceeds to ask me "Do you have the actual card?" EXCUSE ME??? I tell him the card is on my phone & he continues to STAND BY ME while I finish with what I am doing. I go to make the purchase finally, & he CANCELS THE TRANSACTION. I'm not happy at this point and proceed to ignore him and stand in HIS way so he doesn't play with the touch screen. I finally make my purchase and exit out of there. Beware of that man, he is short, black hair, glasses, & speaks with a snarky, snarly voice. I will be making sure my accounts do not have any fraudulent activity going on with them, because standing that close to me & asking if I "have my actual card on me" is suspicious. read more

She is the one with the Caribbean accent and actually tried to lecture me, loudly speaking over me rather than taking responsibility for her pharmacy's poor practices. Do not go here. read more

I am so glad that I went to this location for my first shot of the Covid-19 vaccine. This place has the registration and processing under control. It is amazing. 1) you are sent a registration link in advance to complete when you arrive, which lets them know you are there. Time to complete 10 secs 2) There was no line - I was taken in right away 3) I was explained what was going to be administered and was asked how I was feeling etc 3) temperature taken 4) was asked which arm I wanted the shot and was made to feel comfortable and was given the positive reinforcement that what I was doing was great for myself and everyone else 5) injection done and was told about possible side effects and what to do and then sat in a private waiting area for exactly 15 mins. Everything was well managed, the seats in the post injection area were disinfected after every person left A well oiled machine. I would recommend going to this location for the shot. 100 times better than what my Mom experienced at the Duane Reade on 94th and Broadway. Great job CVS!!!!!! Great team!!!! read more

I went to this location for an urgent prescription that they failed to deliver the night prior despite the app saying it would be delivered by 8pm. The pharmacy opened 30 minutes the posted hours with no apology. While waiting I asked the front clerk why the pharmacy was not open yet and he sarcastically said "because the pharmacist isn't here yet." Once she finally showed up she insisted I hadn't paid despite my receipt. Overall an unbelievable display of incompetence and indifference. read more

This particular pharmacy is a joke. No one picks up the phones here. You can be on hold for hours, no joke--hours on hold, and no one will pick up the phone. So if you have a question regarding your prescription(s) do no count on this pharmacy to be able to provide you with answers over the phone. I waited almost a month to get my prescription re-filled and I couldn't wait any longer so I transferred my Rx to Capsule. Capsule is amazing!!! They delivered my Rx within hours, for free! CVS takes their customers for granted. They have no loyalty. Buyers beware! read more

The workers at the Pharmacy counter are very pleasant. I go into the store approximately once a month to pick up my prescription and a few times the personnel remembered my non pharmacy related conversations from the past. Impressive when you consider the amount of customers they handle. My wife recently needed some help with choosing a non prescription medicine and they were very helpful. read more

The friendliest CVS I have ever encountered! Thank you to the manager who made the quick decision to grant me a pricing that was shown for a different product than the one I chose. He said, "You came all the way into the store needing something and you can't walk out empty handed." He also asked "What do you want to pay for it?" The kind act showed so much customer service, it was impressive! Take note, the product was situated on the shelf with the price label right below but you need to read the tiny print on the price label to confirm. Apparently the label was for a product to the left of the one I wanted. read more

I have had it with this pharmacy. Let me specify, PHARMACY. Every other employee here is lovely. For years I have reluctantly filled prescriptions here for my family purely out of ease, but I consistently become anxious walking into this place. I have never seen such selective rudeness and kindness expressed to patrons (there seem to be a few regular customers that the pharmacists reserve their ability to be pleasant for). While I have seen a large turn over in staffing here, there are a handful of consistent employees working behind the counter. There must be such a disturbing internal management situation happening here that such incredible rudeness is perpetuated throughout this large staff and projected upon innocent (and paying) patrons. Asking questions to a pharmacist/cashier here about medications you know nothing about should not be an inconvenience. I am fortunate enough to have my mobility, but the way they toss immobile patrons/patients back and forth from window to window in search of simple answers is quite frankly inhumane. It is the antithesis of care. On the odd visit I do encounter someone kind and pleasant, but more often than not I find myself and all other patrons met with utter disdain and complete impatience. Staff is always unfriendly, pharmacy keeps you on hold for over 30 minutes and they are always under stocked. Hate this location.

Nicest people but incompetent management- the pharmacy is understaffed to the point that they didn't have time at the consultation window to rerun a prescription for new insurance even when it was already in the system until after they helped all 7 of the other people in line. This is after we came in the day before and they took the new insurance and said it would definitely be ready today. If you have a choice I wouldn't come to this cvs until they have a manager who keeps the customer in mind. read more

COVID vaccinations aren't required and many of the staff don't wear masks -- or they don't cover Thor noses. I was told it's a corporate issue. I'm not in love with Amazon but will use them whenever possible. read more

The pharmacy people are generally pleasant, but seriously understaffed. Long lines and delays in refilling prescriptions and delivery. Today I arrived at 1:00, waited in line for 30 minutes. When I got to the counter, was told that I needed to speak to the "consultant" but would have to wait until 2 because consultant was closed 1:30-2. So sad that these chains have eliminated all the small pharms and now we are forced to use them and deal with overwhelmed employees while the company profits. read more

I like that it's new and they change all the sales signs (unlike Duane Reade across the street). But ice cream is always freezer burned. The ice covering = it melted and when you try to eat it you can't break it with a metal spoon. Inedible. read more

I had an issue with a coupon that was supposed to be on my ExtraCare card but it wasn't working at the self-checkout lane. An associate helped me out and put it in manually! Overall prices seem better than the Duane Reades in the area. read more

This is my neighborhood pharmacy but we will stop going here. They auto renew prescriptions you don't need renewed and then hound you with texts and calls to pick them up. They don't answer the telephone during business hours. This is truly the worse pharmacy I have ever had to deal with. I've had an incident where the staff were not wearing their masks properly. I went into the store looking for a new mask. I couldn't find them.. As I approached the trio of employees gathered at the cashier (they were certainly not practicing social distancing), and two of them had the masks pulled down from their noses, leaving only their mouths covered. I politely asked for the two to pull up the masks, and they did, although they acted surprised anyone would ask them to comply with the mask mandate. One of them said they couldn't breath with the mask, which surprised me that anyone working in a drugstore wouldn't know how to wear a mask correctly. I told them that I too had problems with the mask, but I always obey the rule. This person said "everyone is different" as if that somehow justified endangering other people's health. I thought to myself that it seemed pretty useless talking to them, but I needed a new mask, so I asked where they were. This person then said I had walked right past them. I didn't see them and asked again. They said it was to my right, and I found them. But the tone had changed to slight irritation to me. That doesn't bother me much. I've lived in NYC for almost 30 years and have learned to ignore attitude in most cases. And they then had the masks on properly as I asked, so I picked up a mask that wasn't too bad, and went to the snack aisle. I was there for a couple of minutes. I didn't see what I wanted so I went to check out. There this person was again with their mask pulled off of their nostrils. I asked them why they pulled the mask right down, and that there was only one way to wear it. I was again met with "everyone is different." Irritated (yes they got to me) I gave a bit of my medical history which includes open heart surgery and many bouts of pneumonia, bronchitis, etc. They got rude; I got rude and cussed which I admit is a mistake on my part; and it was not a pretty scene. So I asked to speak to a manager. They said they were a manager, which totally surprised me. Then the person lied about their name when I asked. I also asked for their last name but they didn't give it to me. Out of the three, only this person was giving out attitude, but I was surprised they didn't point out this person's folly. I then put down my basket, said, "I don't want to shop in this store." As I was leaving I heard the irresponsible person apologizing for me to other customers. I resisted the urge to tell the other customers why it was actually that person who didn't understand about masks. I went home, reported the incident to 311, and then called corporate. I got to the right person to lodge a complaint, and I gave them that worker's stated name and told the customer service person that the mask-impaired person said they were one of the managers. This customer service person, direct from corporate, then told me there was no one by that name as a manager, and that they were going to open up an inquiry. This incident has soured me on all CVS's in general, and I will never step inside any of their stores ever again. What I hope will happen is that the person who was being ignorant saying "everyone is different" truly gets the lesson they need to protect people and comply with the mask mandate. The entire thing was started by their rather stupid assertion that "everyone is different," as if that was a reason not to comply. Avoid the store if you expect a staff in a drugstore to comply with the mandate. CVS has lost my trust. I wish I could give this store zero stars. read more

This is the most incompetent CVS I have ever been to. They told me I would have to wait two days for my prescription to be filled, which was fine so I waited the two days expecting my prescription to be filled at the date and time they said. Two days later and there's no update as to when my prescription will be ready, so I go visit the store to ask them when it will be ready. When I arrive, they tell me they are out of stock of my prescription and have not even ordered it and that I will need to wait another four days for the prescription to arrive and be filled. I ask them if the prescription is available at any other nearby pharmacy and they tell me it is not. I go home and call customer service and they tell me my prescription is in fact available at another pharmacy down the street and that I'll have to take the prescription out of process to transfer it to another CVS. I try to call the pharmacy to take the prescription out of process and they hang up on me without giving me a chance to speak. I could have gotten my prescription much earlier if they had just placed in the order like they were supposed to or allowed me to transfer the prescription to another pharmacy. read more
