We have been here a couple times and I will say the first time our sons haircut came out not so great so we went back and they immediately fixed it and we're so apologetic to the point where the owner called me to apologize! That is AMAZING customer service especially this day and age! I love when an owner shows pride in not only ownership but customer service. They were able to get me in at about 4:20pm as a walk in luckily, some of the other haircuts that were being done while I arrived looked good. It was a really nice shop and the barbers dressed professionally. Main issue with the spot was the heat, by the end of the cut I was sweating a bit, not sure if it mattered but I was towards the front of the shop. My final haircut was not done well, I wanted a mid fade, got a high fade with a lop sided cut from the back. Besides the fade not being lined up well, the fade itself had some bald slits throughout the back of my head. I brought up some issues I saw to the barber at the end but would rather he not continue doing anything to my hair. Did not get his name unfortunately but I could tell by how he was cutting my hair that he either wasn't very experienced or confident in his cutting. After he finished my hair in only about 15 minutes (Generally takes 25-45 mins) I knew I was in for a lackluster cut. The barber hit my ear twice and actually left me with a pretty bad cut with the clippers on my neck while touching up my beard (Pictured, after it healed a bit). I believe he gave me $5 off because of the neck cut. I recommend only going here if you know who is giving you your haircut as the walk ins can be an inexperienced barber, similar to other shops in that regard. Definitely learned my lesson on cheating on my regular barber but I needed a cut that day and my barber was off that week! read more

Took my son here for the first time. Had a warm welcome when we showed up even though they were busy, didn't wait long and when helped I was able to explain why my son was worried about getting his hair cut and showed what he was wanting. Gentleman kept my 9 year old comfortable, in the loop and updated on the process and made sure he liked the cut before leaving. Got there around 945 on a Monday morning... I was greeted and asked if I had an appointment. I did not have an appointment but wanted to get both myself and my son's haircut. My son was immediately helped by a barber that I'm assuming is dedicated for walk-ins. The whole time I sat there watching my son get his hair cut, (about 50 mins) I watched 3 other barbers sit there on their cell phones and didn't even look at me. Very poor business model! I understand that appointments are priority, but they could have easily helped me out while they sat there and did nothing. As they finished up my son, a family walked in without appointments and they played the "not-it" game and reluctantly took a customer, passing over me. I also noticed that when one of their last customers left, they talked crap about them because they were made to address some issues the customer had with the cut. They market themselves as a higher-end barber shop but you don't get anything high-end at all. Definitely not worth the price. I'm leaving now and headed to Newby's for my haircut! read more

STAY AWAY FROM JUAQUIM Complete hack job with no regards to any instruction I gave him. I asked for a slick back with a taper fade. Light trim. Leave some hair on my side. Maybe one of the most standard and simple cuts. This guy took a 3 all the way up my side and cut half my hair off gave me a comb over and an undercut I specifically told him I didn't want. I left pretty pissed off and I wasn't going to say anything but when I realized that the right top of my hair was completely cut off and the whole left side was left untouched I was not going to let him rob me 35 bucks for a hack job. Luckily another barber was able to somewhat fix the terrible job he did but now I half to deal with having my hair extremely short for the next couple weeks. If it wasn't for the kindness of the other barber fixing my hair this would be a one star review Again in the pictures I'm not blaming the barber who fixed my hair. He did an amazing job trying to restore what he could but he didn't want to leave me with completely short hair. All the mistakes you see are on JUAQUIM back right side of the shop. He didn't even want to give me a refund but after about 10 minutes of me rambling on about his hack job he finally returned the money. I tipped the guy who fixed my hair 20 bucks read more

Super expensive, rushed cut, everything was a plus up, had to cut multiple patches the barber missed, wait was a joke. Multiple barbers sitting around waiting on an appt, that didn't show in the 2 hours I was waiting. The only positive was they were open (when not many were) the day before an out of town trip. Review: Went in for a "trim" and the barber gave me a full on mullet. I should have stopped him when he started using clippers around my ears. Maybe they can do fades and undercuts, but I didn't think a trim would be too difficult for a barber to do. It was the worst haircut I've ever gotten. I left and immediately went to Frank's Barber Shop to get fixed up. They also did not want to take me, each open barber saying, "No, it's your turn." I would not recommend this place. read more

My husband had Manuel as his barber and left very happy! $25.00 for haircut is fair especially during these hard time. My husband said Manuel was very professional and did a great job fading him up. I think he looks great and his hair smells wonderful too! (I think he used some fragrance water). The shop is clean and comfortable, we are definitely coming back. I live 5 mins away off AV road. I called in twice, back to back to see if there was an opening for my husband and get a price quote since our regular barber at TopHats was booked through the week. I'm already wary considering the $15 increase from our normal place for razor cuts- no hot towel service, facial massage and the fact she keeps asking him to move other than working around him. Erik did my son's hair, a combover with a 0 on the sides and a shaved in hard part, came out beautiful, my son has crazy thick hair with tons of cowlicks he still did an amazing job. Erik also did a straight razor shave my whole scalp, really slick amazing job very expert with his razor. Kev did my husband's straight razor shave on the scalp and did a really great job with that and he cleaned his beard up, tapered it in and everything. Our whole family looks bomb! My son and I aren't regulars, so we didn't get our hair cut. We waited 20 minutes as an old, long-bearded barber (without any customers) played on his phone. We were the only ones in the waiting area and no other customers came in while we were there. This was our second time here and the first experience was very similar. The price for a regular cut is quite pricey at $25 and close cut shaves $30 but you will be getting a very polished and detailed cut. And if not speak up because you're definitely paying for it. I saw a video on Facebook promoting this shop and to support local business in Apple Valley. I'm all about supporting our local businesses in town, so I came in for a cut and I was very pleased. I'm so pleased that I stopped going to my old barbershop and have been coming here for my haircut for about 3 or 4 months now. I'm always greeted by everyone and I'm always treated great. This shop is very well put together, the decor gives an old school barber shop feel and they always have good music playing. I've had my haircut by almost everyone there, I always get a medium razor fade and I always come out feeling like a million bucks. I've also had my sons hair cut here twice and each time Eric has been so patient with him, he's only 3 and can be a little fidgety but Eric always cuts his hair great. I highly recommend this shop, they're doing some good things here in the community and most of them speak Spanish.
