They try to hold you hostage and force you buy glasses and contacts from there by holding your prescription. I called to simply request that my contact prescription be emailed to me because they did not offer it when I left. Over an hour later, I've received nothing. Then I call to say I hadn't received it, and I was waiting due to being at an eyewear establishment, and I was rudely told that I need to wait because they have customers. The staff is ridiculous as they cannot properly multi task and complete more than one task in a matter of an hour. They always seem frazzled. I will absolutely never return, and I definitely will not be purchasing any of their excessively priced eyewear!

A few days later, found out my cousin was having a day party nearby but around the same time. Decided to reschedule the appointment for an earlier time but there were no more Saturday appointments available. I called the office to make sure this was the case, which it was, so informed the host that we would be running late. First off, there is no signage off Westheimer to let you know this location is here. I ride across the entire shopping center to get to it. The parking is tight and very sparse. Don't let anyone double park and take up precious space. The inside is very tiny. Not much of a waiting room at all, so if you're taking someone here and waiting for them, you might as well go somewhere else because its limited. I however, was working remotely, so I didn't have time to travel somewhere else to setup my station but in hindsight, I think I should have because there was no WiFi available so setting up my hotspot to work and making space on the available table to work was probably the same amount of time to go somewhere else. Although they finished examinng my Mom in record time, I really think they were rushing to leave because how you going to dilate someone and forget to give them the glasses??? I think my Mom was taken by surprise from them telling her she hadn't met her deductible and would be paying more to go through her insurance but still I think they rushed us out the door. The keys were even in the door as we left but maybe that was because I still was working about 10 minutes after they closed out her payment. I had work to do, so go disinfect rooms before you close, but while I was working, I noticed the nauseting smell of disinfectant fumigating a room. If that's the only disinfecting you're doing, we're in trouble. This Dr. my Mom went to was mine as well, but Ive been feeling like she may be leaving soon or the company is changing that is reducing her hours, so I'll be looking for a new Optician this summer. Memorial Eye is expensive and just not what they use to be, which was friendly and cost effecient a decade ago when I found them. I can pay less and go down the street near my home and probably get the same service.

Unfortunately, my most recent visit was a completely different experience. In the past, wait times were minimal. This time, I waited over 30 minutes in an extremely cold exam room. The temperature was unbearable, it felt like a refrigerator. I had a sweater on and was still uncomfortable. Later, the doctor mentioned that the AC was broken and moved us to a different room with a space heater. If the AC issue was known, patients should not have been left sitting in those conditions for that long. The doctor I saw was new to me, and the interaction was disappointing. During the vision test, when asked which image was clearer, I explained that both appeared blurry and I couldn't see the letter well enough to determine which was better. Instead of working with that feedback, she repeatedly insisted I choose one based on brightness. Since neither looked clearer, I eventually gave a random answer just to move forward. It did not feel like my input was being heard or taken seriously. That was how the whole exam went. When I asked questions, they were brushed aside. The overall tone felt dismissive and condescending, which made me uncomfortable. As a result, I did not feel confident filling my prescription there. I have valued this location for years, which makes this experience even more disappointing. Based on this visit, I will not be returning.

My vision works just fine... but Barbi's vision not so much…read more Barbi is definitely a fan of Visionworks as we have now visited about five different locations, and at four of the five, we receive great customer service. There was only one bad experience. I will get to reviewing the others another time. But this location was one of several that treated her very nicely and offered her different deals that were generally about the same as what other chains would offer, but with slightly better service and generally about the same as the other Visionworks locations that we visited. I guess the only downside other than the pricing - which is not in the cheap range - is that we noticed on all of their location listings they do have some fake reviews, quite a few in fact the same written by the same people. But I guess that's how they do business and part of their business model.

It's finished and what do we get? Compared to our previous glasses after they snapped exact same prescription - highest premium version - it's almost double the thickness of the previous ones, i mean it was bulging out so much i might not have known what side you we're supposed to see out of.

I explained that was not what was told to me and was placed on a very brief hold then the staff returned and said that my funds would be returned in 3 business days. This location is visible in a strip center on the Hwy 59 feeder road near First Colony Mall. So, when your exam is complete treat yourself to a shopping spree. The practice offers low vision and dry eye exams amongst other procedures. The office is clean and spacious with a friendly staff that returns patient calls. Dr. Chau is personable while offering great patient care.

Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. After checking in, we paid his copay and requested an itemized receipt before he was seen. That's when we noticed an additional charge for an optional retinal scan, even though no one had asked my husband if he wanted it. We immediately brought it to the receptionist's attention. She apologized and explained that she would have to wait 24 hours before she could process the refund since the payment had already gone through. While I appreciate that they agreed to refund the charge, it should never have been added to the bill without first asking for our consent. Throughout the visit, the receptionist appeared to be new and seemed unsure of many of the processes, which made the experience feel disorganized. After the exam, my husband was given a glasses prescription, even though we had come in for a contact lens exam and never requested a glasses prescription. He was not provided with a contact lens prescription. We were then quoted nearly double the price for an annual supply of contact lenses compared to what we had been told over the phone. When we questioned the difference, we were told that the original quote came from an offshore call center and was incorrect, and that the higher price was actually the correct one. Overall, we left feeling misled. We chose this office specifically because of the pricing we were quoted over the phone, only to find out it wasn't accurate. Between the unauthorized retinal scan charge, not receiving the contact lens prescription we came for, and the significant difference in the quoted contact lens price, our experience at the Sugar Land location did not meet our expectations, and unfortunately we won't be returning.
