Oliver and his employees painted the interior of my house in June 2024 and there were constant…read moremiscommunications due to his lack of understanding and speaking english. There were walls that needed texture and we confirmed he would do that before painting and then it didn't get done. I had to send him a photo of the texts that showed he agreed to texture and he said he missed that. They did finally texture and paint again, though the texturing job was not great. My contractor had to show them how to do it right and then they still messed up one wall. When I asked him to fix that, Oliver refused to have them come back and do it right. At that time, I also asked for a quote for the exterior of the house and decks and showed him everything that needed painting. He gave me a quote for that work. I asked him in December 2024 if we could proceed with that quote for May 2025 and he said yes it was still valid. Then he said the decks were not included even though quote states decks and super deck paint on it. Over the next four months he kept saying that other things weren't included -- first the stairs, then the front porch, and delaying in responding to my texts. I even sent him photos with everything circled so there would be no confusion. Then he raised the price by $2000 stating paint cost most, which is a huge amount just for paint costs. I finally asked for a revised quote with everything listed since he kept changing what was and wasn't included and the estimate went up 1/3 in cost. He gave me excuses about sanding, covering the floor, etc. and that it was more work, even though nothing had changed outside since I showed him everything last year. When I questioned it, he said he didn't want the job anymore and canceled on me a week before they were supposed to start, leaving me totally screwed over. I do not recommend this company. They are a bit cheaper than others in town but the miscommunication, the lack of understanding english, and the quotes changing are just a hassle. In the end you aren't really saving money because the work isn't getting done right, they aren't focusing on the details, and you're going to spend so much time dealing with the miscommunication and misunderstandings.

I am happy to recommend David Field from All Things Possible Painting LLC. He painted the exterior…read moreof our 38 year old house and outbuilding this summer, plus a deck. He also did some interior painting in the sun room. David got back to us immediately as soon as we contacted him. He quickly came out and did measurements, and gave us a bid on the job within a couple of days. He was always super responsive any time we called, emailed or texted him. He proactively kept us informed of when he would be on the job. David's level of experience and competence was apparent at all times. He had a clear understanding of which paint was best for each application. When spray painting the siding, David always had the sprayer in one hand and a roller in the other hand, alternating between spraying and rolling. For the trim, he used roller and brush. I was amazed at the level of detailed prep work he did. He spent weeks sanding, caulking and priming. I think he went through 2 cases of caulk, caulking every place where water could possibly get in. He took down all the gutter down-spouts in order to paint behind them (and put them back up with new powder-coated screws afterwards). He took down light fixtures, etc. He used stain-blocking oil primer to prime large areas. Every surface got 2 coats of finish paint. The finished job looked great. There were no messes -- no paint spilled or slopped onto places where it shouldn't be. I felt very positive about the entire experience and felt lucky to have hired such a careful and conscientious guy. He painted our house as if it was his own.
