I used to live this store but in the past few years it's seriously gone down hill. They sell stuff for more than it is new. I bought a solar fence light the other day for 5.99. Brought it home and it's just garbage. They no longer care about serving the community but lining their pockets with cast they made from selling garbage. I used to love this store. By far the best in the area for consistent quality inventory. Good prices and nice people. Now everything is overpriced. I found ONE shirt under $4 and it was bleached and around 20 years old. They had stained/holey shirts for $7-$10 because it's Nike or polo. They want $10-$20 for a pair of arizona pants or Levi's with ripped pockets and holes. They want 80-90% of retail prices for used things they get for free. A worker wouldn't let me look through the shirts until she was done getting the clearance colors out of them to take them to the back. I wondered why I couldn't find many clearance colors (it's the only way to not overpay). I hate that the workers who have no clue on prices be the ones deciding the price. They must google prices for brand new and expect they can charge almost that price. I don't even see how the workers could afford the prices read more

I love thrift stores and my sis was wanting me to pick her something up to wear so I dropped by. I absolutely loved this store and they had really great hours. I found the prices reasonable (much cheaper than what I pay in Indiana), and good quality. I found her several shirts and a nightgown. I found a really nice shirt for me. I could have spent much more time there. I'll be back again and I will give myself more time to shop this store. read more

I am being generous with this because I did find many items at great prices but I am severely , angry . Today between the hrs of 6:30 -8 pm we shopped at this location on 11/11 and I have a list of problems First I was Over charged on multiple items . Like a track suit set that was hanging together but had 2 different tags on it at 2 different prices and the cashier who cashed us out said she would give it to us at the lowest tag price of 2.99 cause she didn't have time for this shit . She charged us both for both tags on the track suit Then we were purchased 2 book but charged for 3 She was Extremely rude and frankly didn't give a shit about doing her job correctly. I can offer sympathy since I do know cashiers at this place make make 8-10 an hour cause that's what I was offered pre pandemic and that was a lead cash position ...so American thrift needs to work on paying their employees a livable wage But that's still no excuse , she needs to pay attention and do her job with out stanking of sass. She is in a place of customer service and needs to put on a happy face and do the job cause with out customers their is no money being spent and with out that she is without employment!! read more

It has been a while since I walked through those doors - I normally go only if i need something specific. OH my goodness. The prices of clothes there is ridiculous. A faded t-shirt with a hole in it for $5.99? really? a plain - no name mens hoodie for $8.99 - a mens sweater for $8.99. Found some cute pants and hats for really cheap here, but the store is gross and not clean. Within 2 minutes of being there, we watched a cockroach walk from under a piece of furniture across the aisle in front of us. A woman watched my mom killed it and then said "that's nothing, they're here all the time. Last week I saw a rat run across the store floor. But it was just a little one." Uhhh, no. The store is under horrible conditions and very unhealthy. There wasn't even great customer service to make up for it. Don't shop here unless you really need to. read more

This Thrift store used to be a great place to find items. Not any more. Everything is way overpriced and the management acts like they are doing you a favor letting you shop there. Sad that a Charitable place like this has gone downhill to the point that my friends and myself very rarely even go there any more. This is an awesome place to find just about anything. The staff is very friendly, helpful and courteous. I have bought a lot of furniture there and for great prices- almost new and used. Most pricing is very reasonable-a lot of great deals. Love, love this place. Enjoy finding great deals. read more

If you really want over priced junk then this is the place to go. And if they do come across something nice they will charge you retail price. And they have a replenish able stock of items that they charge a lot for that you can pick same exact items at $1 store for only a $1. read more

You have to really watch some of the prices especially on the formal wear, but you can find some amazing pieces. There are many high end brands new with tags including career wear. It's worth the trip to rack up on pants and regular dresses. read more

I feel blessed to have such a large thrift store in my town. We always check there first if we need something. We've found some good buys. A few years back they changed their pricing system so that items have different colored tags and each week certain colors get certain discounts. It's a pretty smart way to keep inventory moving with minimum manpower, which saves both the store and the shoppers money. Items in the store are fairly well organized. The employees are friendly. A few have been there many years, which says a lot about a business. It's not the cleanest I've seen, but considering the volume of people who come through, it's not too bad, and they do have hand wipes available at the door. A few small complaints: 1) You can't try things on, but I think this is the case with most thrift stores. It would be hard to keep people from stealing otherwise. You can return items within 30 days, but only if you have the receipt and the item still has its store tag, and then only for store credit. 2) Some of the items I feel are overpriced for a thrift store, especially considering that even though this store does raise a significant amount of money for King's Home, it also makes a profit for its owner, all from DONATED items. 3) Long checkout lines. They have made some improvements over the years. Despite the negatives, I would still recommend shopping here. You never know what you'll find! read more
