Probably the best place I've ever stayed at evaaar. Not even exaggerating. I'll tell ya why, ready??! Check in, seamless. Rooms ready. The lady that got us checked in was so polite and informative. My dad is a member of the club so he knew, but she had no problem going over the amenities and near by fun stuff with me. Even recommended a great place for us to go tomorrow. Rooms, we got three, they're big. My parents room is huge. Value for the price is here. Most places are cramped and tight. This place is giant. I can easily work out in the morning inside the room to beach body cardio blast and I have to move my couch at my own house, not here. The room smells great, the fridge is ice cold, beds are soft. Pool rules are awesome. There's a bar in the hotel, not busy, not the hippest spot, but if I was here with a group of fun folks, I'd be drinking them dry and loving it. Pool had a big beach ball, pool table, packman game, hot tub that was really hot surprisingly. The vaulted ceilings are cool too. Breakfast till 10, all day and night strong coffee. Keep going?.... Ok I will!!! So what prompted me to write this review was the night desk fella, Mathew I believe. I came out of the pool and just flew in today. We had a few beers poolside and I didn't have a lighter, but wanted to go smoke outside. I asked him for a light and he said that he bought some for guests specifically for this situation lol So I borrowed his Green Bay packers lighter and when I brought it back, he said keep it, because he knew what I was going through with the traveling .... My mind literally exploded a bit. Such a kind gesture. I stayed here about 6 years back and nothings changed. They're still super friendly and well run. Plenty of parking, almost zero highway noise, well maintained, and staffed by as I described, real people, with big hearts and good work ethic. The pool area is extremely great, however our room was musty smelling and the carpet was dam.

Spacious, quiet room. Phenomenal swimming pool; gracious staff. Only one negative: Its laundry room is dirty; Powder detergent on top of the washing machine and on the floor. An overflowing garbage can; lint all over. Totally untended. But if you don't go in there, you won't know. read more

A decent hotel. Rooms are a good size and breakfast is included. It's not very good, but it's included. Conveniently located off the highway and near restaurants and other services. The pool and hot tub were well sized. Complaints are the breakfast was weak. The noise from other guests could be heard on the stairs and hallways. No elevator, so you end up dragging your bags up stairs.also the air conditioning unit surges on and off noisily. read more

I stayed here during Open Air Tours, where me, my Beetle Convertible, and 200 other convertibles went all over Manitowoc for 3 days. We had a ball. It was hard to get a room in Manitowoc that weekend, and I got this deluxe room here. Holy space batman! It had to have been close to 600 square feet. It had a large bedroom complete with a fireplace and whirlpool tub, a second living area with a pull out couch, and a large bathroom. Breakfast was adequate, the hotel was quiet, and it had a nice clean pool area. Overall it was a great place to come back to after playing hard all day, to rest, recharge and rejuvenate for the next day! read more

We got a hotel here through Priceline for my birthday last night. We arrived and checked in around four PM and found that the light cover for the light in the bathroom was on the floor. We tried to put it back up and realized there was no light in it. On our way out to dinner, we stopped and told the front desk clerk about the light panel being on the floor and there being no light. He paused for several seconds and said "What do you want me to do about it?" My friend said, "We wanted to let you know there's no light & we're headed out to dinner so now would be a great time to replace it." He said he was not supposed to have put us in that room and we stood there unsure of what to say in response before heading to dinner. When we got back, he informed us that he put the panel back up but the light would mot work during our stay. My friend, shocked that all he did was replace the panel & not the bulb, said that it was only an overnight stay and we'd make due since he offered no other option. Later that evening, I got in the hot tub - the entire reason for picking this room & paying more - only to find the button was stuck in the hot tub and the jets did not work. At this point, it was ten PM and clear that the front desk clerk (who had been messing around on his phone in front of the fireplace in the front sitting room all night) would be of no help so we went to bed. The next morning we found two women at the front desk and told them about the problems we'd had so far, including the light not working & the hot tub jets being broken. These issues were KNOWN ABOUT and they both said that no one should have been put in that room but because it wasn't entered in as a work order it got overlooked (only it didn't, because the night clerk flat out said he wasn't supposed to put us in that room the night before). Both women seemed highly uninterested & said they couldn't do anything but would talk with their manager. We were leaving within the hour so my friend asked if the manager could please call her when he got in. No call ever came and when my friend called back to check in they said the manager was not coming in and nothing could be done because we were "offered another room" by the night clerk. This ABSOLUTELY never happened. We were told that he was not supposed to put us in the room we got and nothing more. He never offered to do anything and was begrudging about putting the light panel back on. They then passed the buck to Priceline, since my friend paid through there. My friend called Priceline and they were gracious enough to call the hotel & try to work out the problem but the hotel STILL REFUSED to do a single thing to remedy these issues. This place is a nightmare of lazy people unwilling to lift a finger to help their guests and they do not deserve your business. We would have overlooked the disappointing experience if something - ANYTHING - had been offered to compensate us for deliberately putting us in an unworking room but instead they lied to cover their laziness and unwillingness to help. They should be ashamed of how they treat their guests. read more

Last night we arrived and the fan in the AC unit is going out. Bearings grinding and sounds like a generator running by your head. Told the front desk in the morning and they said they can't call maintenance in on weekends but would have house keeping look at it. Well, we arrived back late the second night to find it still making the same noise. Asked the front desk to change rooms since they didn't fix it and we can't sleep. He said he couldn't since they are full and suggested turning it off like we did the first night. So either we get a clammy warm room, or a loud quiet one. Neither solution is good and we are still paying a high rate for room. Won't return and definitely won't recommend. I'm writing this at 1:45am as I sit here awake coming the room back down so I can turn it off to take another nap until I have to cycle it again. read more

We stayed overnight for just 1 night this past weekend. It was just a 2-day family getaway to Wisconsin, and since we have stayed at another AmericInn location, we decided to give this particular location a try. Upon check-in, they were ready for us and had our room keys ready. The lock system on our door was pretty finicky and it did take sliding the card rapidly, repeatedly to open, but it wasn't a huge issue. The pool area was decent (no waterslide like some locations, but they did have a pool table and arcade games there in the pool area), but the water was a little chilly. Still refreshing and nice to take a quick dip with the kids. And there's a nice, hot whirlpool to relax in as well. As a family that looks to save money, a free breakfast is always a perk, and we try to book our stays at hotels that offer this. AmericInn has a very good breakfast -- not just donuts and cereal. Waffles and biscuits & gravy, along with many choices of breads, pastries, cereals, yogurt, fruit, cottage cheese, hard boiled eggs, etc. The only complaint I do have is that the air conditioning was not already on in the room, so the room was hot & stagnant. We kicked the air on immediately and left a few minutes later to go grab a bite to eat. We were gone about an hour or so and when we returned, the room was nice & cool. It's not a huge deal, and I know that conserving resources is huge nowadays -- but simply turning on the air 30 minutes before check-in time on those rooms that already have definite reservations on may be a suggestion. Again, nothing that would prevent me from staying here again, or suggesting it to family and friends. The hotel looks nice, the rooms are nice (we were in a queen 2 room whirlpool suite -- not really 2 "rooms" per say -- the sofa sleeper was around another wall and the whirlpool was tucked in a corner, but it was perfect for my family (husband & I and our 2 kids)), the service was good, the food was good.... read more

My wife and I stayed here for one night on July 26, 2021. The price with taxes was $182.48. The hotel was "Tired" but appeared very clean. The staff was courteous but a bit lethargic. The breakfast was mediocre at best!! What do they do to make those sausages so visually unappealing?! The room had two queen beds and the mattress on both were incredibly soft. Now the worst part. The room had a strong odor of cat urine!! Why the hell we stayed is beyond me. In the morning upon checkout I brought it to the attention of the desk clerk. All I got in response was an "Oh?" And a crinkled nose ; oh and I forgot, a receipt for $182.48. read more

Checked into the AmericInn in Manitowoc, WI today. I was blown away! Charlotte checked us in and was fantastic! I forgot some toiletries and went to the front desk to see if they were available (free or for sale). Charlotte quickly got me my needed items at no charge. Our room is magnificent and they have a small gym, pool with hot tub, free breakfast, free WiFi, dyi customer laundry...! While returning from a side trip, I ran into Charlotte again, salting the sidewalks and changing the garbage. She took the time out of her busy schedule to chat with me. So awesome! My favorite hotel in Manitowoc, mostly because of Charlotte. read more

We have been staying here regularly for the last three years - best hotel in Manitowoc. Very friendly staff, nice clean rooms, and great breakfast area. Our kids love snuggling up on the comfy sofa and reading books from the basket of books in the lounge area. Pool is nice, but temperature tends to be a little chilly. Pool closed for maintenance every Monday morning. read more

Very clean, extremely nice employees, and a convenient location along I-43. My husband and I wanted to avoid the price hike of staying in Green Bay after a football game and were pleasantly surprised by this experience. It was only a 30 minute drive from Lambeau and, even though we arrived late in the evening, the staff was extremely friendly and efficient upon our arrival. They have a free breakfast in the morning--I recommend the 'make your own waffle area'--and constantly are filling the food and drink so that you can sleep in and not worry about breakfast being gone. read more

The Customer service was very bad when we checked in. The lady walked away from us as I was talking to her. When we checked out on top of the bad service the wrong credit card was charged. I don't know what they do with the cards you hand them when you check out, but it wasn't charged. Instead the Credit card that I booked the room was charged after I specifically asked to change cards. This was not noted probably because the lady didn't even look at me when we checked in. I booked my room on wyndham's own website. We paid for a king suite as they called it and according to the room description the room came with a pullout sofa. I had also entered into their booking details we had 2 adults and 1 child. Upon arrival I found out that isn't what we paid for, there was no sofa and it was also not what anyone would call a suite it was a single room with one bed. Upon calling the girl at the front desk she informed me that 2 room suites are more money. Somehow even though I had booked the most expensive room on the website they have rooms that cost more when you get here. The girl at the front desk although diplomatic was basically useless other than to happily ring up my upcharge. I will not be coming back to an americinn hotel or any other wyndham hotel. I would urge others to steer clear as well. Also this 2 room suite I have now is really just one room with a 12 foot wide archway "seperating" the two so its not really 2 rooms either. read more
