This was a super convenient location for our trip to Green Bay for a Packers game! We were able to be nearby without the high costs of staying in town, and Manitowoc was just a brief drive away. There was even an affordable shuttle option to eliminate the need to drive, find parking, etc. It was nearby Walmart and Menards plus plenty of food options, so conveniently located where we could get anything we needed. We enjoyed exploring Manitowoc while we were there as well. The room has everything we needed and the bonus of a third bed which we weren't expecting! They offered made to order breakfast each morning with an efficient system and plenty of options while reducing food waste, which I appreciated. The bathroom had a separated space for the sink and mirror which was great for saving time getting ready. The fridge was also really handy and they had reasonable rates for food and drinks (including Spotted Cow!) in the lobby. The staff was very friendly and offered great recommendations. We would absolutely stay here again next time we're in town! read more

We came up to Manitowoc to hike the Ice Age Trail. We stayed at this property for two nights with our 1-year-old. The price was fantastic and it was a comfortable and clean place for us to lay our heads at night. We were not disturbed by other guests at night. The air conditioner was loud and the mini fridge would hum or turn on/off periodically but after the first night we got used to the noise. Our 1-year-old slept soundly regardless. The complimentary breakfast was nice - we ordered the English muffin egg sandwiches each morning along with some sides. The portions are small, but nothing was wasted. They also served Door County coffee which is a local Wisconsin made coffee. There is a lovely outdoor seating area off the kitchen and another outdoor patio space in the front. The property was clean, and we liked the nautical theme - very on point for Manitowoc. The location was perfect for us as we did not want to be in the heart of Manitowoc. It's close to everything you need including the downtown, eateries, and a Wal-Mart. The workout room was under construction when we stayed here. There is a game room with a large shuffleboard also on the property. We would stay here again if the price was the same - it was a great deal. We paid about $93 (plus tax) a night when we stayed in May 2025. read more

Pros: clean, friendly staff, great location, nice shower. Cons: no elevator. If you have a 2nd floor room you need to carry everything up and down a large staircase. No coffee maker in room. Free coffee in lobby but if you have a 2nd floor room you have to carry it up and down stairs. Don't make a 9am (latest) breakfast reservation. They call your room directly to hurry you up, but once there you wait a long time and get food that sat out. Kitchen workers hard to talk to about it because they didn't seem to understand or speak English. TV channels in room did not match channels in room binder. read more

We chose this hotel as an overnighter to continue our trip further north. Nice quiet hotel. It's clean. The staff were super nice. The breakfast was better than a lot of continental breakfasts that I have had. I gave it four stars instead of five due to the fact that while they had CCTV cameras inside the hotel, they had none watching the parking lot. Put some cameras outside watching the parking lot and this little hotel would be 5 stars for me! read more

Based on reviews for another hotel in the area, we chose to go here instead. They remodeled a motel - looked cute in the pictures. The main areas looked the most up to date while the rooms weren't so much. However, it was a nice stay. The staff was friendly and they offered a pre-made breakfast based on your choices. It included things like breakfast sandwiches, mini waffles, cherry danish bites, yogurt, fruit cup, biscuit with gravy, etc. When we got down promptly at our pick up time, our food was waiting on a tray but it got cold, sadly. They also only offer soap and shampoo so be sure to bring any extras like conditioner and lotion. They may have also had some of that available in a vending machine. I don't plan on being back to Manitowoc anytime soon but this seemed a good choice compared to other places. Would recommend. read more

I stayed here in three occasions over the course of a month for work. I was blown away at how good it was. Older chain motel buildings can often be pretty messy, but this one was impressively clean and pleasant. Truly pet friendly, great breakfast system, fun and unique little game room, friendly staff. My husband and i were at a wedding this weekend at the nearby Holiday Inn, but couldn't afford their $142 starting price for that night so we opted for this location. I am from the area originally and assured my husband it was a decent stay. In high school, this placed turned down my friends for trying to reserve a room for the night as they were under 18. Granted the plan was that we'd party all night so probably was a good idea for them to turn us all down. They check ID's here religiously so it's unlikely you'll have a rowdy party down the hall. They have a nice small complimentary breakfast: cereals, fruit, coffee, juice, bagels, and make-your-own waffles. It was clean and seemed well-stocked. Just wish there had been eggs and sausage, but for the price i can look past that. The room i had this time was very small. Just enough room for the bed and around the corner was a small bathroom just big enough for the toilet and tub. Both appeared clean. Towels were stocked and of reasonable size for wrapping yourself. Only two though - this is not fancy enough to give you plush oversized towels. For the price, necessities are here. Sink was right by the entry directly outside the bathroom. Faint smoky smell but not as bad as previous reviewers stated. I notice this in many hotels that used to allow for smoking. I assume it will be a few years before we do no smell that anymore. I had been here about a year ago and remember a much bigger room, perhaps it was a double bed? That one was much nicer and more spacious. Sink was still outside of bathroom if i recall. Kind of nice for getting multiple people ready in the morning. My apartment is laid out like that too. Handy! And you know who washes their hands, especially with kids! Honestly i did have a pretty super 8+ hours of sleep after the wedding. Bed was firm but comfortable. read more

We have stayed here many, many times. It's always the same. Great people on the front desk. Housekeeping is the same. They always go the extra mile to ensure your stay is the best possible. We hadn't t been here in a couple years. Same great staff (literally - must be a great place to work). Same clean, well maintained rooms - the entire facility. Pets welcome. Coffee is always available in the lobby. Breakfast included in the price of your room. Business center with fast internet and great printer. Lastly a huge THANK YOUto the staff for making it "old home week." It was wonderful to see each of you and we'll be looking forward to our next trip to Manitowoc. Update: checked in again today and shock is the only term I can find to describe the situation. The manager and the head of housekeeping were terminated without an explanation. The motel is clean as always. But certainly miss seeing the old staff and have to say the new manager lacked the welcoming smiles we've looked forward to over the years. Stayed here one night, passing through town. I will always stay here from now on! Nice decor, clean, and loved the bed mattress and Pillows! I always travel with my own pillow, but all theirs were great! Great night's sleep. The cable was excellent! Even had TNC classic movies. Breakfast was great. We stayed here while in town for a funeral, and the rooms were SO humid that our clothes felt damp, and any papers in the room felt damp. There were also a lot of truckers or transient workers staying here and they were VERY loud. They took over both sitting areas outside and the breakfast area inside. They had parties and were drinking and blowing off fireworks. When you walked out the door, you were usually hit with strong cigarette smoke, as someone was always sitting close to the door and smoking. The breakfast was meager. We went to the restaurant next door (Four Seasons) a few times and it was good! The plus side is that the people who work here are all very nice and very friendly. I hope they read this and fix the high humidity in the rooms. read more

Although the people were friendly, that is we're the positives ended. The room was not very clean and included a used towel and dirty tub. The toilet seat was loose. The wifi is dependent upon the number of people using it so don't stay over a weekend. Traffic is not good accesses the hotel either. Wasn't sure what to expect, but it was a nice hotel. It looked recently renovated, nicely decorated, very clean. Our room was a little bit small, but it was perfectly fine for a one night stay. We had free wifi, a tv, microwave, and mini fridge in our room. Breakfast was good. It's just off the highway, so we could get moving right away in the morning. Only complaint would be that the pillows were so thin it felt like I didn't even have one. Overall a nice, affordable place to stay. read more

Poor customer service! Called desk late at night with an issue and received a flippant response. Same issue next night. My wife left something behind and when I called the woman responded saying they wouldn't send it but someone would call the next morning. No one did so I called later that day. Young man took my address and said they would send it. One month later and several email exchanges and nothing. Why would we ever return to that hotel? It's nothing special. read more

LOVE this place and the staff.. I stay in five states on a road trip with my grandmother every night at a new location. This was our favorite. We were able to get a handicap room, newly remodeled with great decor. Everything was clean and updated, beds were comfortable. They had a nice breakfast with two patio areas to sit outside. Staff was extremely friendly and cheerful especially for being up at 10pm when we got there after the packers game. Our tv wasn't working and the girl at the desk was very helpful in fixing the problem. The bed was comfortable although the continental breakfast left something to be desired with it's very limited selection. (Cereal and bagels pretty much) but then again it's not like I should expect a 5 star meal for how cheap the room was )$60 after taxes and a 10% USAA discount). Nice cozy place to sleep conveniently located a half hour away from Lambeau. Found them on hotels.com for $88 a night during a home game weekend. Lady at the front desk was very nice. Quick check in. Room was clean. Comfortable full sized bed, flat screen tv probably like a 40", free wifi, quiet and peaceful. It's near all kinds of fast food, restaurants and a Walmart making it very convenient. I generally view Super 8's as one lateral step from a Motel 6, and while that may be the case for many, it's not at the Manitowoc location. The room and public areas were very clean and pleasant. The lobby even had vases of fresh-cut hydrangeas! The king-size bed was incredibly comfortable and the air conditioner was easily controlled for just the right sleeping temperature. It lost a star as there was a some noise in the parking lot now and again during the night, otherwise it was great! read more

Super small cramped room, carpet was coming up from floor, bathtub was dirty with debris in it, amenities did not include lotion or mouthwash, room key didn't work at first so had to go all the way back to desk to get a new one, "continental breakfast" was a waste of space and time, should I keep going??!! The only reason they get two stars is because bed was rather comfy and shower had good water pressure. Other than that, total hooker hotel status. read more

We were here to attend a Packer's game. We arrived early and there was no room available, which was fine. We returned at 3pm, and the front desk people were scrambling to find rooms that were ready for the 4 or so couples waiting, us included. They got us into a room and said it was short one towel, no big deal, but they never brought the towel like they said they would (again, no big deal really) We had a decent , clean room, but it was tiny!!. The staff was friendly. The breakfast was good, but sparse. The hotel had a quaint and homey feeling when you walked in. .The hall smelled of smoke at one time, but otherwise it was void of any bad odors We would stay here again , but would try to get a bigger room if we returned. read more

We stayed here for 2 nights back in February. I think this hotel is a great value! I don't need anything fancy and this was clean and as other reviewers said the staff was very friendly and nice, greeted us every time we walked through and made small talk upon check in. Our room was very comfy, not huge but I don't need a huge room, and very quiet. It was a convenient location close to the highway and there were lots of chain restaraunts around, you also get a discount card for the diner next door where we had breakfast since we wanted something heartier than the continental. The ONLY downside was our room had a very strange smell that I think was old smoke covered up with some kind of deoderizer- however I will say that I get migraines and am very sensitive to smells and I didn't get a headache or anything. You only noticed the smell right when you walked into the room and stopped noticing it after pretty much five minutes. I would definitely recommend this hotel and it is GREAT for the price! read more

Woah....what a dump. We made reservations to stay here for two days to see family for the holidays. I looked at the hotel online first before booking the rooms and everything seemed fine. However, when we got there it was a different story. First, the side door was broken so anyone could get in at anytime. Yikes. It snowed the night before and the parking lot was barely touched; ice was everywhere. I actually grabbed a cup of rock salt left by the door and threw it around my car so I wouldn't slip the next morning. Next, we had only two towels in our room (not even large enough to use for showers). The room was musty and smelled strongly of smoke covered by a TON of fabreeze. Needless to say it didn't help. But the worst thing was that we found hair on the pillows, there was some sort of crusty gross stain on the blanket and if that wasn't enough the bathroom ceiling and tub had mold all over. Now, I don't expect perfection but if I am paying for a hotel room for numerous days I at least expect that it be clean. I talked to the manager about all this and she was rude and shrugged it off as if it wasn't her problem. Needless to say after showing her pictures and threatening to call the health department I received a deep discount on the room rates. However, I'm thinking these complaints are not new to her. Buyer beware: do NOT spend your money at this hotel. Its dirty and unsafe and there are other more reputable hotels nearby. read more
