What a horrible company. They have a clause that prevents me from making changes since my wife has become incapacitated. When asked how this can be changed they said, "Your wife will have to die before anything can be changed." What a heartfelt response. They will not admit that this is their mistake, nor will they do anything to correct the problem. Their attitude is "We don't care; we don't have to". The only option is to petition the courts for a change which will cost close to $10,000. My wife (who has been fighting cancer for the last year, has a living trust through ameriestate. I've been told not to worry about anything, if something happens to her just to call them and they handle everything. That's the promise they make, just keep that in mind. Last week, she lost her battle and passed away. I have been calling Ameriestate for days, selected options for every possible department, and left voicemails in every possible inbox. They do NOT answer the phone. They DO NOT return calls. After several days of calling and leaving voicemails, today I actually got a person to answer the phone! And when I explained my situation and what I needed, she promptly transferred me to another voicemail box, which I have not gotten a return call from. In short, this is an absolute horror show. My next move is to contact BBB, because I'm pretty certain we've been robbed. One of the hardest things I've ever had to deal with and ameriestate has completely abandoned us as a client. They have our money and that's clearly all they ever cared about. Do yourself a favor and find ANY other company to deal with your financial affairs, I can't think of anything worst for me right now than having to suffer the extreme additional pain inflicted by this lazy, predatory company that I'm unfortunately tethered to. read more

My parents started a trust with Ameriestate in 2005. I have lost my dad, brother, and just recently my mom. I have durable power of attorney to access all of my mom's financial institutions to pay her bills and any other financial decisions on her behalf. The bank has since frozen her accounts and is denying the durable POA. I have reached out to Ameriestate 3 times explaining what is happening and still haven't heard back. I am going through THE most horrifically emotional time of my life and this is adding so much extra stress and anxiety. This person gave me the name but when I asked again to write it down she said no. My brother made a Trust with this company as well and I am a benificiary on his trust as well. i Asked for a copy of the trust they refused. I got it hired an attorney. Apparently they lie to you when you attend one of their seminars. I was told that the attorney will meet you at your house to finalize everything. Which is great because I am trying to update a trust for a disabled family member. Came to find out that everything happens via phone and since they were unable to understand my family member over the phone. They cancelled us and where extremely rude about it.
