We asked for service on a tankless water heating system and replacing a pipe under a bathroom sink…read more The first task was slightly different because the previous owner had set up an excellent but unique system in the house. Some of the pipes had build up from hard water. However, all the repair needed was replacing a part in the tankless system that caused the leaking. The build up was cleaned and looked like it had resolved after we had upgraded our water softener solution. While the individuals who came were kind, the first one took 3 hours and then had to call in a supervisor for the tankless system and piping. It was wasting my time working part-time from home while caring for a newborn full-time. Then, I asked multiple times for an estimate and they skirted around the question. When they looked at the sink pipe, they just put plumber's tape around it. The job wasn't finished when they sent an overpriced invoice. They said it was an error. We asked twice for an itemized invoice which they never sent. Also, we told them not to come back to finish the job if they would charge more. They promised not to charge more, came, and then charged more. Now, the water system is connected to a heated floor system installed by the previous owner of the house. Multiple professionals commented on how well the previous owner installed the system - including Blauch Brothers. Since they touched the system, it does not work. When asked if they could fix it for free since they likely did something, they evaded the question with "we can help you by looking at it" but not saying clearly whether they could do it free or not. It is understandable if they couldn't do it for free, but the lack of clarity was disappointing. We will likely pursue the previous plumbing company as they were dependable, efficient, and reasonably priced. They were just not available at this time, so that is why we tried Blauch Brothers. The biggest advantage this company has is that the people were polite and you could get an appointment quickly.

He switched things around so that he could come right away since we hadn't been able to flush the toilets since the previous night. He cleared up the backup quickly and was very friendly and professional!

It was explained to me that the SCC did, in fact, find that SVEC was stealing from me, charging me 3 times what a house of my size could even draw in a month's time (kWh), and that the resolution they reached was to tell SVEC they were stealing from me and let them decide what to do about it. Imagine my surprise when a monopoly company kept stealing rather than fixing its problems (sarcasm). My home isn't fed the proper amount of power, which, of course, takes its toll on my meter and jacks up the bill. SVEC has been made aware of this for the last 5 years. Then I find that 2/3 of my usage is taken and charged again as a distribution fee. Forgive me, but how is their mishandling of funds now my financial responsibility? I have gone so far as to send in BBB complaints showing they're lying on my bills, but those go unanswered. SVEC isn't worried about our complaints. Why would they be? They have no competition and no higher authority to answer to. If you're new to the area, don't get too comfortable. You'll be taxed to death here, and there isn't a thing you can do about it.

He purchased the replacement unit and installed it on the very next day. He came back again for a follow up appointment during the weekend and resolved another issue for us. Great communication via text messages. The team showed up on time every visit and cleaned up the mess before they left. Ed charged a reasonable fee and refused to accept additional payment for the follow up visit even though I was insisting to pay. It is difficult to find a good and honest contractor these days and Ed is one of best! I highly recommend them and will definitely keep using them myself.

When buying the home he agreed to fix any major repairs that we came across. It has taken his men several times to come and do repairs. I was sent an email, and was only given a 1 day notice, that they were coming to do any last repairs that needed to be done. He personally knew that a step in my home had loose boards because he personally came in and found it. He said he would need to cut through the drywall in my utility closet to fix it. His workers came while I was at work and my husband was home. He told my husband that the board was not loose. When emailing him asking when this was going to be fixed I got a response of "we are done with the repairs in your unit". He is refusing to fix a stair in my home that has loose boards. The step MOVES when you walk on it. His email response was very rude and refused to answer the phone when I called. I would never recommend his company to do ANY kind of work!!!!!!!

They said they had to come inspect my system before they would deliver. That was fine. The guy who came was very helpful and knowledgeable. He said my system was fine and I could expect a delivery in a couple of days because my gage said 15% full, which is like empty. It's been over a week, three calls waiting on hold for an hour or longer. The woman who answered said my report hasn't been posted yet so no one knows they are to deliver; she would have someone call me. That hasn't happened. Now my tank is completely empty and it's 30 degrees at night. I can't get thru to anyone and my calls keep getting cut off. There are no local numbers to call. Every call has to go thru their 800 number. As soon as I can afford a new system, I'm outta here!
