Town & Country had the lowest current price by quite a bit! In addition, the man who answered the phone was very friendly and knowledgeable. He knew immediately pricing, appointment times, delivery policy etc. I found this to not be true of some other companies. For example, upon calling some of the others the person answering the telephone did not have current prices or know their companies policy on minimum delivery amount etc. They had to have someone call me back. Weird and very annoying. Who has time for that. So I appreciated Town & Country's quick and friendly response. I just received my delivery yesterday. The delivery person was quick and left my bill and a small gift of a nice mug and magnet and company info at the door. Very nice touch! Will use this company again in the future I am sure.

They came to my home the next day, and filled my tank. I thought "fantastic! what great, immediate service. I didn't have to do a thing.". Little did I know, this would become one of the worst experiences I've ever had. After receiving my first bill, I was charged a WHOPPING $4.43 per gallon. I called to complain, and was assured that the price was so high due to being a new customer, and that the price would significantly decline over time. Did that happen? No, and I'll get to that in a moment. About a week and a half later, during the middle of the winter, my propane appeared to have ran out. I called Suburban to refill my tank, and they informed me that they locked my tank out, IN THE MIDDLE OF WINTER, with no prior explanation or warning. At this point, I'm furious. I call to complain, and nothing I say seems to matter to any support representative that I can get a hold of at their office. Not only do they lock my tank out, but they bill me AGAIN for a full tank at $4.43 a gallon. So here I am, with no propane, and am somehow sitting with almost a $900 propane bill, all for a week and a half's worth of propane. On top of everything else, where'd my "repeat customer discount" go?! I'm not sure who authorized a second filling of my tank, or why they chose to lock my tank during the middle of winter with no prior warning, but this has been the ABSOLUTE WORST company I have ever had to deal with. All of my complaints fell on deaf ears. The manager, "Chris", was no help whatsoever. Suburban Propane would not budge on anything for any reason. The customer service offered by these people was non-existent. Please, do yourself a favor if you're considering choosing this company for your propane needs, and DO NOT.

They're very far apart from each other and they put some kind of device on one of them and it was the wrong one because I refuse to use Amerigas so this tank is not theirs. They never asked us to enter our property and then they charge us $200 to come out and take it off! The overseas call center employees don't know their company's own policy's, are unable to help with simple requests like 'could you email me that policy'. The horrible: This company has become too corporate. They simply only care about cash, a few years ago the property we purchased came with a propane tank owned by AmeriGas. The first few times It seemed okay to buy gas from this company, not to expensive, not crazy wait times exc exc, however. Over the years their prices per gallon quickly ballooned and it became most cost effective to run our heat pump. This year we decided to get some gas and called AmeriGas, of-course you get the overseas call center who you can hardly understand, but that's a different story. I asked for the price per gallon as I always do and they wanted a whopping 4.60 per gallon ! So I called around and did some research it turns out at the fair market value of propane I was around 2.60 give or take. I was outraged that this company has been ripping us off! I called to cancel and also to ask why we are paying double and their said it was 'based on usage' I said that's the thing, we don't use much we try and be efficient with our propane, and they said 'exactly' 'the more you use the cheaper it will be' that's not lanky irrational but it should be illegal. Nobody else in the propane industry does that, you pay fair market value, that's it. Just because your company is suffering financially they make you pay for their poor financial decisions... I asked to cancel after that and they threatened their fees which are how they keep you in 299.99 to pick up their old tank we have been paying rent to have which by the way they are supposed to service and they haven't serviced in 6 years, plus another 149.99 for 'processing fee' basically a bogus fee they implement to try and keep people in.
