The Ameristat technicians did a superb job rewiring broken wire to a surround sound speaker. The broken wire was located in my attic in an extremely difficult area to reach near the narrow portion towards the eave. Another company was here twice and could not do the job or did not want to take on the challenge so instead tried to convince me to spend a few thousand dollars on brand new equipment! Luckily, I called Ameristat because they were dedicated and honest in their approach and did the tough dirt job in a small attic space. The pros: They provided and installed in our 5th wheel RV the winegard trav'ler satellite dish, hopper (free upgrade to hopper with sling), two wireless joeys that enable us to watch any channel on any of the three TVs at the same time and also to record or watch recorded programs from any of the three TVs at any time and did all of that for much less $$ than the three quotes that we got from different RV shops in the area. Chris, the owner and David, the installer were very nice to deal with. The cons: There were a few communication hiccups. And I had to ask several times for a printed invoice however, I finally got it. Also, the installation was scheduled for a specific date. I was told the installer would call me to set up the time. The morning of the install date I got the call from the installer asking me what time the install was scheduled for? So it sounds like the lack of communication and disorganization was not just with us, the customer but also within their own organization. Lastly, some of the equipment that was sent out was not compatable with what we'd requested and that ended up causing the install to go into the following day, Sunday) But that ended up with a free upgrade to a hopper "with sling" (sling enables us to watch our recorded programs from anywhere in the world that we have internet!). In the end, we're very happy with the equipment package, we're very happy with the clean install and we're equally happy with the best price that we could find. In the end, Chris and David made it right for us and we're happy, we would recommend and/or return ourselves. NOTE TO RV OWNERS: One of my concerns up front, to Chris and to David is that I wanted a very clean install. My 5th wheel is 42' long and with three A/Cs, solar panel, smart fans, etc. up there on the roof I did not want wires running all over up there. Equally, I did not want wires running all over on the inside. David and I spent some time up on the roof and on the inside discussing various options and his recommendations based on his experience as an installer and his experience working in an RV shop previously. David did a great job, very clean install outside and inside! Request David as your installer and schedule for a Sat.....you will not be sorry! read more

Just had an OTA (over-the-air) antenna installed in Bonita by Simple TV Now. Due to my location, I have Paradise Hills blocking views of Mt. Soledad, so Bill said ABC and CBS might not come through. He recommended doing a $105 test. I was certain I would get the antenna installed anyway, since I just wanted all the stations I could get without moving. But I figured let's do the test anyway since it would count toward the installation. It makes sense to me they would charge a fee for the test since their technician would have to make the trip and take the time to get up on your roof to do the test. My test showed 75+ channels including a bunch of LA stations, but once we ran the antenna signal through my home coax wiring (it's a big house with LOTS of splitters and amplifiers), I was down to 52 channels at my living room TV. But I get all the "big" SD channels: CBS, the CW, ABC, NBC, Fox, PBS, KUSI, plus a bunch of other channels (a lot - but not all - are TJ stations). My installation was super tidy, with a powered omnidirectional antenna on the roof (OK, I did not get up on the roof to check that), the antenna cable tucked neatly along my solar power cable down to the main cable insertion point, no new holes to the house or unsightly wires snaking everywhere (although sometimes there's no way around that). Now I have over-the-air channels to every coax drop in my house. My installer could not have been nicer, more polite, or more helpful. He insisted on helping me program the channels into the TVs in the house, and had lots of helpful hints on maximizing the OTA digital TV channels. If you're a cord cutter like me and watch 99% streaming but occasionally need to watch live sports or the Olympics like me, call Simple TV Now. read more

Must rescind my former review. The work Amerisat employees performed at my home was illegal. When asked to remedy the issues, they failed to show up numerous times, left the job site and/or never communicated with me. They left holes in my home where Ring and Nest cameras were. I asked for a refund and received silence, leaving me to have to turn to an attorney to pursue legal action. read more

James did a fantastic job of wiring. He was willing to climb into the attic and fish the wiring so it didn't show. While he was here, we learned that he could also hook up our new tv and sound bar. The wiring job was very neat. He "dressed" the wires (tv, sound system) so they looked neat. We are going to recommend them to our friends and will use AmeriSat again in the future. Previously, we had contacted DISH, our satellite provider, to do the installation and waited half a day for a tech. If you're doing a ton of research for a TV / home entertainment system installation in San Diego, I've done your homework for you! I initially reached out to the Geek Squad folks at BEST BUY and realized it was such a check-each-box menu of services, each with its own price, I felt these were the last folks I wanted for a custom installation. I shopped online for a local business and began with a search for The Top-Rated Home Video Installers in San Diego. After reading tons of reviews I chose AMERISAT and never looked back. They installed and calibrated a new SONY 77" OLED, two ceiling-mounted Prime Elevation speakers for Dolby ATMOS and walked me through the operation of a new universal remote to make sure I was familiar with everything. The guys arrived wearing protective masks and booties; COVID protocols were adhered to at all times. There was a slight scheduling hiccup when a second day of work was necessary but David immediately remedied the situation. I've been super busy since the installation (July 2020, although certainly not too busy to enjoy my TV, huh??!) but I promised myself I'd take the time to give them the Five Star review they deserve, so here I am. I thought maybe they had a special antenna or new technology, they don't. Nowhere on the website could I find fine print about full money back as stated by the owner below but even so why not have salesperson mention this? This company is terrible. I discontinued service about 6 months ago and did everything appropriate. Mailed back the boxes, sent everything in, and then I paid my bills as usual. Somehow they billed me for something and never sent an invoice, and it ultimately went to collection because they never contacted me (even though they have my phone number). I have an 800+ credit score and have never been delinquent on anything, but instead they sent it to collections and I had someone hawking me for $60. This company is also never open on weekends and the service from DISH was terrible. I would never use them. I switched to Cox, and their service has been amazing. I'm surprised this place isn't out of business. UPDATE: I received a message from Chris who was the owner of AmeriSat and who wanted feedback on my experience. I must say, I was completely shocked that a CEO would reach out to me let alone talk to me for a while about my experience and how they can improve as a company. I also learned that often it was DirecTV that was more to blame than AmeriSat (and I must say - I'm not surprised). When a CEO takes the leadership to work and improve his/her company, and also personally replies to customers, I have significant respect for them and the direction they are taking their company. Kudos to Chris for reaching out, and while my experience may not have been great a while back, it is very possible this company and it's leadership is turning themselves around and heading in the right direction. read more

After a Rocky Start I have totally changed my option about Amerisat. I have a few problems with the Dish equipment which is not Amerisat's fault and they have sent a hotshot Tech out every time to replace the defective equipment. A big advantage to Amerisat installing your equipment is that they will handle your issues. No more calling into a dish Telephone tree. So my confidence is very high on Amerisat. read more

My internet started having poor signal problems and technician Mr Olympic arrived out and right away could see that the dish was barely attached. He reinforced it with anchors and leveled the dish. Spending lots of time with all the bolts that didn't have any anchors to them the dish was very loose. Got it all aligned and went over all my connections and explained how it all works. When originally installed 2 years ago I didn't get as much information on the system. Very professionally repaired and on the weekend too! Great Job! read more
