This company use to be great but has switched ownership and its totally garbage now. The service keeps cutting out and the software keeps getting outdated with no one to help with support. If you need someone to come out to help you its a minimum $250 fee which is crazy. Customer support is crucial with there system and they are lacking in that department. For anyone looking for a security system that reliable and affordable...this is def not it right now. You might save a few dollars compared to other companies but you will be pulling your hair trying to use the new cheap system. read more

I was told by the call taker that they don't do private residence installs, just commercial. Unless this is a new policy for them, it contradicts what many of the reviewers wrote. Had this company come out to give a quote to install 4 cameras on exterior property line. They said they would email us the quote in a couple days, 1 week goes by and nothing. San Diego CCTV recently installed 2 security cameras and a recording device for me. Even though it was a small residential job for them, they treated it and me with all the care you would expect them to give an installation at a large business. They installed and explained apps on a Windows PC and my iPhone that allows me to watch the live feed or remotely play back earlier actions. I can also capture photos or videos from the feed. The resolution is amazing, both day and night. Sometime unfortunately, when dealing with contractors, as a 76 year old widow, they appear to think they can take advantage of me. No so the people at San Diego CCTV. Everyone from supervisors to technicians, were very professional, knowledgeable and treated me with respect. Great service today! We had our camera system installed by another individual and the relationship has since gone sour. All of a sudden one day the service no longer worked, we emailed SD CCTV pros on a Sunday afternoon and had someone out the next day to repair and reset our system. Great company. All employees that I interacted with were very professional, everyone from their salesmen to their installers. Judah, the salesman, came out to my business and did an initial walk through of our facility. He suggested the type of cameras I needed as well as the DVR. A special thank you to the installers who did an awesome job. Before they installed each camera they called me to show me the placement. They did a great job in taking initiative on the best place to install the cameras so we would have the widest range of view. They also made sure I was completely satisfied with the view before they installed the cameras. They did such a good job we currently set up another appointment to install a few more cameras as well as replace some older ones. This review is long overdue. I had San Diego CCTV Pros install a CCTV system in my home a few years ago. When I first looked into purchasing the system, I met with Judah (the owner) who came to my house and explained the various CCTV products and options available. After choosing the system I wanted, I decided to purchase the system from San Diego CCTV Pros as I had received price quotes from other companies and Judah gave me a the best deal. The installation of the system was done flawlessly and professionally. Judah remained on the job with his workers for much of the day, overseeing their work. I couldn't be happier with the service I received. A couple years later, the DVR went bad and San Diego CCTV Pros replaced it free of charge as it was still under warranty. At that point I upgraded to a larger DVR and added additional cameras to the system, paying only the difference. I recently needed to service my system and San Diego CCTV Pros promptly arrived and provided the service. There was a problem with one of the cameras which took some time to trouble-shoot, but after discussing the issue with Judah he said I would not be charged for the time it took to trouble-shoot the problem, as it turned out to be a manufacturer's defect in the camera. Words cannot express how pleased I am with San Diego CCTV Pros. They are an outstanding company and I highly recommend them to anyone considering installing a CCTV system. I called several companies to get a quote but San Diego CCTV Pro's was the only company that actually sent someone out to look at the job so they could ensure an accurate quote. I wanted to replace the Arlo system, with a hard wired system that offered more flexibility and coverage for my home. After doing some research on companies and equipment, I decided that San Diego CCTV best matched my needs. I placed a call to gather some additional information, and was immediately offered some times for their project manager to come and assess my needs. Within a couple of days, I met with Judah, the project coordinator. He listened to my needs and presented several options for the new CCTV system. His pricing was certainly fair and I made the decision during his visit to proceed with the installation. A few days later, his crew reported on time to begin the installation. The fact they were on time was a plus, as so often technicians tend to be late, or a no show. They were very courteous and walked the property with Judah discussing camera placement for the most effective coverage and to be aesthetically pleasing as I have recently finished a complete remodel of my home. There were some challenges with running the wires, and the technicians were very proficient in conquering the challenges. When it came time to teach the system operation, they took the necessary time to ensure that I was proficient in it's operation and understood the various features of the system and that it met my expectations. I had San Diego CCTV replace my current CCTV system. From my first phone call to them the treatment was amazing. Project Manager Judah came out to my home, talked with me to be certain what I wanted and then walked the property. He made recommendations and he said he'd email the estimate. He was very nice and extremely knowledgeable. The estimate was in my email a couple hours later. The installation team was great. They got stuck in traffic and called me to say they'd be just a few minutes late! The job took a few days and the guys were great. Again, they were very nice and professional. After completion Judah returned to check out the job and had the install guys change the angle on a couple cams. We walked the job and I was very pleased. Judah and his tech were able to troubleshoot a networking issue with my home security system that the original installer could not resolve after 3 attempts. So happy that we found this company, one of the best customer service experiences we've ever had. These guys really care about their customers. We quoted 4 other security camera companies and the professionalism and the responsiveness of this company blew the other companies out of the water. Judah was the only guy who came over in a tie and pressed shirt/slacks. He showed professionalism throughout the whole transaction and really cared for what we wanted and wanted to make us happy. Also, the cameras and equipment were a better quality than what the other companies offered.
