Very disappointed that Amerisurveyors don't play well with the Veterans Land Board. VLB needed a little copyright removed from a survey before they could accept it on a land purchase. Amerisurveyors said as long as VLB is involved they will never remove the copyright, so had to pay for a new survey with another company. Mr. Raul Sandoval has great technical qualifications, knowledgeable, and very patient with customers to make sure all my needs are met to my satisfactions. Leslie, the office manager is very thorough and a detailed individual. Roxanne and Leah are the sweetest and nicest front desk staff and they make sure all my questions and needs are met on time! I met a few of the company's surveyors at my job site and apprecaiet their thoroughness and professionalism. I have been working with AmeriSurveyors Company for about 6 years with numerous and various projects, all with great SUCCESS!! I wrote a review about this company and their wonderful staff in 2018 and since then they have helped me with many more projects ranging from amending a plat, re-subdivision plats, building surveys, form surveys, easement survey, etc. The last and the best is the owner: Mr. Bhathiya Aluwihare, a well-organized individual who knows how to run his business effectively and efficiently! Unprofessional, unreliable, ridiculously expensive... UBuildIt referred AmeriSurveyors to complete a survey of our lot so that we could build a guest home. After explaining the project and the architects requirements, I was told we would need an "as built" survey to complete the project. I was clear to explain that we needed elevations to be produced. After they failed to show up twice the surveyors arrived more than a week late. The final product included no elevations and was completely unusable by the architect. I reached out to AmeriSurveyors to remedy the situation and they asked for an additional $2,200.00 for a topo survey. According to Home Advisor the average cost of a topographic survey will average $500. to $700. These guys will rip you off........ read more

I needed survey done on a piece of property and needed to find company that could carry out boundary survey, topographic and tree survey at short notice. AmeriSurveyors were recommended to me and I didn't find their service disappointing at all. They got the job scheduled within 24 hrs and turned over the report within 3 business days. How can you beat that? I normally use larger survey companies who took much longer at higher cost too. I found AmeriSurveyors team very knowledgeable, efficient and timely in getting the job done. Very pleased with their service. It's almost impossible to get a surveyor on short notice in Austin nowadays with the crazy housing market. Most places are 2-3 weeks booked out, and even then, they don't guarantee they can get it done on time. This place was able to get my survey done in less than 2 weeks of ordering. Even though they are based out of San Antonio, they are active in Austin. Their ordering process is very user friendly, and everything gets updated online. You can track the status of your order at every step. I am glad our Title officer referred me to them. Otherwise, my closing would have been in jeopardy. read more

Paul C. isn't telling the full truth about his situation and seems to mainly write negative reviews so that should tell you something about his character. I consider partial truths LIES. Here are the TRUE FACTS: No one else in town could complete a survey for them fast enough to help them close on their property in time. Everyone involved was in a panic! AmeriSurveyors was called by the Title company to do a super rush, otherwise known as a HUGE FAVOR to save the day because they know how good AmeriSurveyors is. THEY WERE ASKED TO PRODUCE A SURVEY IN 24 HOURS. They not only stepped up in a moment's notice but DELIVERED ON TIME for closing! To be clear, calling a customer beforehand isn't a standard practice. If asked, they do but if Title doesn't request it, they don't call. Why? Because most people know a surveyor is coming at some point the day after or after that because they hired them and are trying to sell their home. What Paul is upset about is a crew member showing up unannounced to do Paul a HUUUGE favor. Let that sink in. He's upset and posting a horrible review because a company did him a HUUUGE favor. Paul, fortunately for only his ego, left important details out to appear to be in the right to vent again on another defenseless company. Something he has a history of doing on Yelp way more often than offering up praise. AmeriSurveyors had a slot open up last minute and opted to squeeze someone over to do the fieldwork the very next morning. Were all the ducks in a row for the crewman who showed up? No, because their team had to cram the prep work, pulling of deeds, maps, drafting a staking sheet and preliminary boundary draft into one very long night. Anyone who understands anything about surveys knows, it's almost impossible to do a 48 hour turnaround on a big job, well Paul needed this one in 24 HOURS. This company was their ONLY hope. AmeriSurveyors thought they would be ecstatic that someone got over that fast, which was the only way making their deadline was possible but this was NOT the case. They were upset because they had to go outside at 8am and put up a lot of dogs. Tough job... Before the crewman could even finish the work on their site and leave, Paul's extremely rude wife had posted the ugliest review about AmeriSurveyors on Facebook. Once this post was discovered, the crewman was told to stop working because the company was not going to proceed to bust their rears for mean spirited, unappreciative people who purposely set out to financially damage their business. Why would anyone want to?? The only reason they wanted to talk to a manager was to yell, at yet, another person and were not given that ability. To this point, AmeriSurveyors had not been paid one cent. They were doing the work up front for free, having opted to collect their pay until after their closing. His wife's post was equally as slanderous as is his. Once again, this was a job no one else could do in time! The company made tough adjustments in their normal protocol only to get slammed for showing up unannounced to do a job Grumpy Paul C. desperately needed. Paul and his wife showed ZERO appreciation for the job well done, not to mention 100% accurate. Truth be told, not a single person involved in their transaction liked working with them. Everyone spoke openly about how emotional and nasty they were to everyone. It seems fitting that Paul would also try to come across as some kind of surveying expert in order to sound like he was done a horrible disservice but he's completely clueless about the process. Someone with intelligence would easily see that mountains were moved to produce in a 24 hour crunch and everyone, aside from Grumpy Paul and his Nasty wife, gave AmeriSurveyors lots of praise and appreciation for a job well done. People with little knowledge of the surveying business seem to be the only ones posting negative reviews. AmeriSurveyors is a great company, with a great product and top notch accuracy. They are everything you want out of a surveyor: honest, transparent, communicative and hard working. read more

STAY AWAY!!!! I have an architecture and construction company and this is by far the worst surveyor we have ever worked with. Terrible coordination and service, incomplete surveys, and the nail in the coffin was one of their boundary survey was close to 2' off!!! I had to hire a different surveyor to properly survey the property and resubmit plans to the permitting department while in construction. DO NOT HIRE THEM!!!! read more

These guys cannot get the work done in time. I order the survey on April 25th and according to their quote, they should have finished the survey and provided me the result on May 2nd. They charge a few hundred bucks more than other because they promise quicker turnaround time (5 days). They did not send anyone to do the survey until May 10th. And I just received the survey result on May 12th. Totally unprofessional. Non responsive. no one should ever consider them as a surveyor in the Austin area. read more

I'm a 20 year investor and AmeriSurveyors is the worst surveying company I've worked with in many years. Paid them almost $568 to provide a Cat. 1A survey. What I received looked like it was completed by a 1st year apprentice. Improvements were missing or improperly depicted on survey, measurements were off by feet, not inches, fences were incorrectly labeled...and worst of all, they refused to call or email me when I complained that this survey was unusable. Once you pay them, you're on your own so go to a reputable company who is willing to treat the customer fair and give you what you're paying for. read more

Zero stars. Ordered and paid for survey in February 2018. Today is May 17, 2018 and the property still has not been flagged properly to allow for construction. I have called for over three weeks and today I am being told that I need to "order" the flagging. What did I pay for????? I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone. Steer clear! Amerisurveyors did not fulfill their obligation to survey 5 lots for us. Their survey was only for 3 lots that are under the address needing to be surveyed according to Hilary. However, when I pull up property address all 5 lots are listed. If I wanted the other 2 lots surveyed it wrong require another fee, even though the lots are all under the same address according to appraisal records.Also they have the address wrong on their plat paperwork that was sent to me. I wish I could give this company a zero. Im not sure what is worse the fact that if you need the data from the survey you paid for it will cost you hidden fees they did not disclose in the beginning or maybe when you call the surveyor to appeal and he says all decisions are handled at main office in San Antonio or when you try to talk to management they will hide behind their assistants to tell you they cannot come to the phone (3 days in a row?) and it is policy. (non industry standard and not mentioned beforehand) My title company suggested these guys but obviously not looking at their reviews on line!! Update- Just spoke to Raul the General manager and he apologized for the hidden fees and lack of communication but is still charging for his files. I recommend any other survey company besides Amerisurveyors. Update- After being Refused by Raul I contacted the title company6 that suggested them. They reached out to Amerisurveyors and lo and behold they sent over the file. I wish that doing the right and fair thing was easier from the beginning without having to work so hard to prove you are about to lose business through poor customer service. read more

Don't make the mistake of hiring this group. Now at a new location, but the service stinks. We were selling our home and the buyers needed a survey done STAT! They hired this company and even though they were instructed to contact me, the seller, prior to coming they failed to do so. In fact, they just showed up at my home at 8 am and said "I am here to do a survey!" To which I replied "You don't have an appt!" He stated he could stay or leave, my call, so I asked how long it would take. He said "Your home is large so expect me to be here u til noon." I have a lot of dogs who had only been out once and had I known they were coming I could have made sure they would have been out prior to them coming. But I let him stay. Then, later I was out front and he came to me and said "Oh! I didn't know you have a pool so it's going to take me longer and btw, is all of your property fenced?" I stayed that the other lot was not fenced to which he relied "Other lot?" So i showed him and he stated that now he would be here even longer than noon. I asked him if he had even bothered to look at the information the title company had sent over and he said no but he would. I then called the company to speak to a manager to let them know how dissatisfied I was with their surveyor and nobody could come to the phone and they wouldn't transfer me to a voicemail either. In fact, they were quite rude. So I went to their Facebook page and left an accurate review because at this point it was already 2:15 pm and he was showing no signs of being anywhere near finished. Once I wrote the review, the manager responded quickly telling me that I was a horrible person for giving a small business a horrible review and that I was taking food off his table and he had 4 mouths to feed. We went back and forth and the next thing I know I received a phone call from the title company stating they were going to walk OFF the job after having been here ALL DAY if I didn't remove my review of their business. So, I did with the intention of leaving the same review once he was gone. Of course they then changed their settings and I was no longer able to leave a review. If you want crap service with a company that won't speak to you and takes 8 hours do a job that should've only taken a few hours, hire these guys. If you want a solid survey done look elsewhere. read more

This survey company is amazing!!!!!! I am a realtor and was in a major pinch and needed a rush on a survey last minute in order to save a deal and close on time. Raul at Amerisurveyors was so very understanding and super nice through the whole process, and I ended up getting my survey in time ! I would highly recommend them, and will be using them as much as I can. Any survey company can get a survey done, but not everyone has awesome customer service like I received with Amerisurveyors ! Very disappointed with the unprofessional responsiveness of this company. As a developer we hired them to do our boundary survey. Then after several months we called them back to mark the house corners of our units, in order to install our foundation. After agreeing on the service cost, we requested a typed quote or an estimate to make payment, first they said that they don't issue that, then after several back and forth they agreed to issue one. They mentioned that as soon as we make payment they will start working on it. On the phone they gave me the impression that by next day we would have the Exhibit issued, and by Monday of next week we would have the surveyors out there. It took them a full business day to send us the quote, then another business day to send us the first exhibit draft for our review and approval, which arrived two minutes before they close on the Friday afternoon of that week. This lost us the whole weekend. The exhibit came back with several errors, that required correction. As usual I never received any follow up calls, or even call returns, I always had to call them to check on the progress. On Monday morning I explained to them the issues I had with the exhibit. Never heard back from them. I would expect a call from their production manager at this point to go over my comments, but no. I had to call back the next day to speak to the production manager, who didn't answer my call, and didn't call back even after leaving her a message with her coworker. Finally when I expressed my dissatisfaction, the production manager answered my call and said they would be happy to refund our charge and stop their service. Very unprofessional. I requested to speak to their upper manager. He called me and honestly was polite, and apologized. But unfortunately that was way too late. We lost precious project time. Still needed to look for another survey company, that will require doing the full service from scratch. I know I would never use them again. read more
