I wanted to share the experience I had with Diamond Sportfishing and Captain Kyle! WOW! We…read moregathered at the dock super early and although we thought it was early, Captain Kyle was up and at'm ready to fish! He said we were in for an adventure. The great thing about DSF is that they provide all the gear necessary for your catch. We were going out for Tuna as Bluefin are now found in the waters off the west coast, we were all pretty excited to go fishing. All we brought with us was food and drinks, having everything else included was a bonus. In the event we caught anything, they'll cut, clean, gill and give us fillets. The boat ride was awesome, no one got seasick thank goodness, there's ample seating inside and out. It was super foggy in the early morning, but cleared up by the time we started. I've not been on a fishing boat prior to this trip, and I was blown away at how scenic and beautiful the water was out there. The bright sunshine gave the water a super bright blue appearance, it was cool. Captain Kyle and his deckhand got everyone rigged up and ready to fish. The Captain is youthful and took his time answering questions and giving advice. His mixture of humor and knowledge of where the fish were was certainly a bonus because as soon as lines were in the water we heard, " Fish On!" That first Tuna took everyone on board including my son Parker to reel it in ( Posted Picture). What a freaking rush. It was exciting watching as everyone reeled something in on the boat. We laughed, joked and had such a fun day out on the water with friends. On our way back in to harbor the Captain pointed out several whale pods swimming around the boat, it was a trip seeing them jump. We enjoyed our lunch and talked about who caught the biggest tuna. In all honesty, that first one was the biggest in my book. I can't say enough great things about Captain Kyle and his Diamond Sport Fishing. Reservations were easy as charters go out practically daily either 1/2 or full days. The waters off of California are changing, getting warmer, they're seeing Bluefin Tuna and Marlin so who knows, maybe our next trip we'll catch something epic! Overall Impression: A+

There are several benches set up along the border of the lake for visitors to relax and admire the views. A rough trail on the far side of the lake made for a somewhat challenging hike, climbing over giant rocks and weaving through trees and debris. It wasn't too bad though. The sandy beach area of the park is fenced off and only open seasonally, with a small fee to enter ($5 for adults, $3 for kids and the disabled, free for babies). But the beach cafe can be accessed from outside the gates and offers various menu items like coffee, tea, hot cocoa, smoothies, lemonade, pretzels, hot dogs, nachos, popcorn, and ice cream. Lake Anza is free to visit, and offers free parking in a sizable lot. Restrooms are seemingly well kept too. I enjoyed my time here this past weekend.

But there are lots of turtles and birds to watch. For picnics, there are tables and a large grassy expanse for laying down a spread and also playing frisbee. For a hike, the loop around the lake (pond?) is perfect for kids and adults who are able to climb rocks and scramble comfortably along a few narrow strips of the trail. There is a bridge and an area where kids like to explore the creek. There are other paths off the lake, but those do tend to have more mountain bikes. This is an especially nice park when we have our late summer weather in September and October. Plenty of parking.

I have booked my early birthday crab combos with him. I tell everyone about them! I have been on other boats before but none has a better crew!!! This past trip was for Salmon and it started out rough, I forgot our boots, it started out choppy so my mom stayed inside ( we did not want to risk a fall for her). The captain got us into calmer water and into some schools of Salmon. Chef Mark was my biggest hype man, John helped me get rigged up( Salmon set up is heavy!!! But they will help you)! Now once I had a fish on Mason had to hold the rod so I could reel!!!! Ive never need help getting fish to the boat but boy these fish were heavy and fighting. Im just talking now because I had such a good time. Sore but happy. Remember like all fishing its fishing not catching. Not all trips end in success but they do everything they can to help you have a fun and successful trip. It was also a wonderful whale watching day!

Yes a seagull lol a seagull ate my bait with the bait. The deckhand unhooked him tho.they have a cook on board that sells breakfast plates breakfast burritos and burgers for lunch. The bathroom was one of the cleanest bathrooms i've seen on a charter boat. The deckhand were supper helpful. It would have been a perfect day If i would have caught the fish limit but I didnt catch nothing but I still left with 2 fish. I would come back, if your going for striper and halibut i'd bring lures to see if it helps out. Book your trip and check them out.

I've been out twice with the Sundance to catch salmon outside the bay. The boat leaves at 5:30…read moresharp and stays out until the limit of 2*6 was caught each time. The first time we were out 10 hours, the second about 5. The boat takes six fishermen and a crew of two. Captain CJ knows his stuff. Took us through 10ft swells outside the gate (the potato patch they call it) with the boat pitching nearly 90 degrees. Quite the ride on a rough day. All gear and bait are included and two 2lb sinkers. The sinkers drop when you hook the fish, and cost $7 each when you need more So I used 8 and paid $42 extra for six. No problem, but something to be prepared for. The mate and captain keep the rods baited and the boat trolling. Everyone gets great action. One guy pulled in a 24 lb salmon. Last trip I caught three keepers and two small ones we tossed back. Guys also caught five good sized mackerels also, which weren't counted as part of the 12 limit, so we wound up with three each. Everyone gets to pick their best two if they're over the limit and unlucky guys split the rest. The mate will fillet anything and you can keep any of it you want. Get a one-day fishing license for $17 at a bait shop before you go. $250 for the day. Parking passes inside at the business at the end of the road, the Sundance is on the second dock from the end. A great way to spend a day. Call months in advance - they book up fast. There's catch counts on the web page so you can see all the boats and how they're doing.
