They need to fix the bumps on lanes. Fyi if you sit on the chair then look at the foul line, you will see the bump/hump on the lane.

I belong to a league here at Strathmore now that airport lanes closed. I Bowled today Friday the 27th on Lane 35 and 36 that didn't work well so we were moved to lanes 41 and 42 at which time the ball return worked off and on complained at least 15 times the manager on this Friday was terrible which held us up for bowling took us over 2 hours for 2 games he waited on a woman ordering food and made me wait 5 minutes why he took her food order and I had to hold up my bowlers to say the bowls were stuck again. Decent bowling alley in a good location (right next to Deninos pizzeria). It's clean, you can find various weight bowling balls, the shoes for rent don't smell funky, and it's decently priced (not outrageous like Bowlero). Pricing is so ridiculously high that it's almost a joke. The lanes are decent but my god I ordered fries and a soda and got charged $18. It's $3 for a bottle of water. I don't ever leave reviews but I was so shocked at how badly they gouge their customers. They shouldn't be able to get away with charging prices like that. read more

Had THREE pair of lanes break down in one night and everytime I went up to the front desk to check they were sitting their talking not monitoring the situation...this place is trash. they keep raising the fees for lineage and league and beer and yet none of it is put back in to the alley. Just hosted my daughter's 14th birthday party here and it was one of the best parties she's ever had . From the beginning to the end of the event we were always taken care of. The beginning of the process was starting great with the events manager, Jamie .: I believe she was off site but always fast to respond by phone and email. When we arrived we were greeted with smiles by the first hostess., sorry forget her name ., then our party host introduced himself., Jamal .. he was so responsive., positive and smiling ! They had a few tables set up by the lanes and they decorated the tables even ! The girls had a great time with the bowling and shortly after the food was delivered., they have everything served hot and kept hot with warming setups.. the food quality and taste beat my expectations! Everyone loved the chicken fingers and fries of course! I totally suggest this place for a party and im so happy to say that this changes my ideas about bowling alleys ! read more

What can I say about this place? I didn't know that I wanted to be a bowler until I came here. The lanes are amazing, and allowed me to uncover my bowling potential. This is not a joke. Very disappointed as a guest bowler in this house. Rule of thumb . Bathrooms need to stay clean. I get it that folks are not all clean. However as a establishment, it is there responsibility to be sure to stay up on things. No soap to use to was hands, urine all over the floor. It is bad enough it is a small bathroom. At least let it be a clean bathroom. Being that going to the bathroom was first thing I did coming in. I decided to remain hungry and not visit the snack bar. I just celebrated my birthday by coming here with a group of friends and rented out 2 lanes for the night. got some food, drinks, and even had fun in the arcade! the food was actually really past my expectations considering it's a bowling alley plus the servers were super helpful! It was such an easy and entertaining event that everyone was able to enjoy! even for those who haven't bowled before or aren't that great at it, it's easy to pick up and isn't that competitive (at least my friends aren't!) overall such a crowd pleaser and a really great group of staff at the location! read more

On the spur of the moment, 2 days before, my sister decided to give my nephew a small Birthday celebration at this establishment. There were 15 of us ranging in ages from 6 to 50. We walked in and clearly, they were short staffed. The young man initially assigned to our party was clearly overwhelmed and having a challenging time meeting our needs. Then, this Wonderful Yong Woman with pink hair stepped in and took over. Her Customer service was Awesome! She was everywhere doing everything. She got food, drinks, shoes, checked other customers in, tended bar all with a smile and pleasant attitude. The grace she exhibited under what was clearly challenging circumstances was Amazing! She celebrated and sang Happy Birthday with us making sure we were satisfied customers. Attended a Special Olympics event at the lanes today and I can't say enough about how helpful, professional, courteous and efficient the staff were. When an issue arose the front desk handled it so professionally and the problem quickly resolved. Loved the renovations! definitely would recommend bowling there on a personal basis. Nice little local bowling alley. There are plenty of lanes, a very small arcade, a bar and place to get snacks. Prices are average for lane and shoe rentals. This is definitely an older bowling alley but it's in pretty good condition. The fried foods are actually decent here too. read more

There's a reason your lights on your sign is out, the people at the front desk are driving away your business. Cricket , oh I mean Chris, at the desk is a racist entitled child . I've tried to become a regular here, but he has made this very difficulty . Every time I come , he gives me specifically an issue . Ben, the "manager" was no help . Last week I went I was there , and the lane next to us had bags of Taco Bell , munching away no problem. Today I walk in with a bag of McDonald's and suddenly they have a "no outside food policy" A few weeks ago it was an issue to get an extra lane and they forced my family of 8 to play on one lane . Updated review: this place has lots of lanes, so you will likely be able to get one without waiting. However, the oil is extremely hit-and-miss. One day there's a truckload and the next day the lanes are bone dry. Lately, during the summer, they have been extremely dry. It feels like the last time they oiled the lanes was early last MONTH! What a perfect place to hold a child's birthday party. Adults and children had lots of fun. The older kids liked the video arcade games, and the younger ones liked the food, especially the chicken fingers. Went here once with my family for unlimited bowling night. Staff was rude throughout the whole experience and dishonest at first about prices. The lanes we were assigned (lanes 19 and 20) were malfunctioning through out our unlimited bowling and were not returning our bowling balls back correctly or promptly. The ball return rack remained completely empty on multiple occasions throughout the night. When the staff was advised about this we apparently were the inconvenience. They even shut the lanes off on us before returning our balls. Better off finding another bowling alley not owned by a corporate business like this... do not recommend. read more

Came here on a Tuesday around 5pm. Despite being 2nd in line it took about 10 minutes to be helped. Every ball seemed to have small or extra small holes- unusable for people with normal-sized fingers. The lanes were incredibly oily and the first lane we were put on, every ball did not return. The second lane randomly reset once or twice resulting in scoring issues. The three stars are for friendly service. I don't think I'll be back here. read more

this was my second time visiting, me and my bf was in the mood for a drink so while i set up our lane i sent him to fetch us some beers. he returned with only 1 drink and i asked what happened? he said the woman tending the bar said only one drink at a time. we were both confused as we saw the person next to us come back multiple times to his lane with about 6 beers. so i got up and went to Michelle with extreme kindness, and very kindly asked in a soft tone about the policy. i said "my bf was just here and was only given one drink. could you please explain the policy to me as its confusing to see the person next to us come back with a lot of beers". as soon as i was done Michelle went into flight or fight mode and started talking to me in a very hostile manner. she talked to me so defensive and irate that i blacked out while she was talking because i couldn't believe someone was talking to me crazy off of a question i asked kindly. i did not approach her and accused her of anything. at the end of the day she is doing her job and i can not fault her for that so i am very confused as to why she was talking to me like that. i kindly stopped her and i kindly tell her in a normal adult tone that she was talking to me in a hostile manner. i said "hey your talking to me very hostile, please watch the way you speak to me because i did not approach you bad or accused you of anything and your talking to me very defensively" she denied she was talking to me rude and started raising her voice at me saying she id everyone at the lane thats why they have all those beers and its only one drink per ID. she kept on denying that she was talking to me rude at this point there were other people at the bar witnessing her talking to me crazy. so i say to her " you are talking to me very hostile and if you feel like i talked to you rude i'm going to apologize because maybe i'm not seeing me from the outside but you not seeing yourself from my perspective and from my point of view your talking to me crazy". At this point she started to flash crazy eyes at me and just saying "uh uh uh" really fast. you can tell she was talking shit about me in her mind and hoping i would just shut the hell up. she did not apologize and i just walked away from the conversation. my whole night was ruined and i could not bowl good because i kept on thinking about this interaction. my bf advised me to talk to a manger but i did not feel comfortable talking to a manger because someone who acts the way Michelle did probably gets away with her behavior and i strongly believe nothing would of been done especially since she took no accountability whatsoever. i do not plan on returning to this establishment and i hope Michelle seeks the help she needs because clearly she been through traumatic events in her life that at a simple question she goes straight into flight or fight mode. read more

My boyfriend and I stopped going here about three months ago when they all of a sudden, wouldn't allow us to use our Groupon on a Saturday. Now this had never been enforced before, so we weren't aware of the fine print in regards to this "policy". Mind you, this was maybe our fifth or sixth time here. We had two kids w us and nothing to do Bc the lady wouldn't even allow us to use it and at least just tell us we wouldn't be able to do it another time. It was a new manager. She was really not nice to us. Plus, we drove 30 min to get there to be told this. We even explained it to her and she just didn't care. Most of the workers here don't care about the customers. The only ones I see that are polite are the bartenders and that's probably because they're making good money getting people tanked. Wait time here is absolutely ridiculous even though they have tons of lanes open while people wait an hour or more for a lane. What's up with that? Why can't other lanes be used? It's not like anyone is using them. Then sometimes you finally get a lane and get about an hour of bowl time. Then when you finally get a lane, your right up smack dab in the middle of large groups. Can't they space it out instead of pushing every customer into ten lanes and leaving twenty of them open. It's nuts. The snack bar- complete rip off. It's so damn expensive that it's a crime - highway robbery, I tell ya. The food is regular fried junk food and pizzas and prices that should be in a restaurant not a bowling alley. Snack bar prices suck! Bathroom is generally not very clean. All around, not a top choice. Thumbs down, all around. read more

Cute little bowling alley in the midst of the dirty jerz. Came here with my cousin and her boyfriend and his friend for some cosmic bowling. Th games are pretty cheap, with shoe rental and 2 games each we paid a total of $72...I need to remember to start bringing my formerly stolen shoes to bowling alleys and avoiding that darn shoe rental fee... One nice thing is your games never time out here. When we were bowling in East Brunswick, if no one went for about 10 minutes, the game would skip people or end the game all together! Here, no worries about that. The drinks here are super cheap, about $4 for an absolut and tonic! Beware with opening tabs though, they're easy to forget, as I learned. One of the few places that charge by the game. Usually bowling alleys charge by the hour. This alley has been around for some time and the lane and ball quality seem to show its age. None the less it's a bowling alley the machines that set up our pins messed up alot and we had to reset a few times. It's not the best alley I've been to and could use some improvement.
