The other side of the park has an estate house you can rent for any occasion. I went to this park for a pioneer event. It is located near Orange avenue and not too far from…read moredowntown. Entrance and parking was free, and was ample during the event. The park is spacious as a saw lots of spaces to walk and play sports. I also saw people play cricket in one of the fields. I think there was a playground, but I didn't pay close attention. I was more focused on the event, which had various vendors and stages showcasing music and pioneer reenactments. They used to have horses that kids (and a kid at heart that's me) can ride during the event, but they didn't have them this year. So, not sure if the park is equestrian friendly. But the park was clean and family friendly. It is a nice free park for sports, events, and family activities.

You can check the schedule online and book a court or wing it and do so when you arrive. I've noticed a time or two when it looks like every court is blocked online and they were actually all open, so I'd recommend calling to verify if there are no spots. Day-of has always worked for me. The courts themselves are well-maintained and many are recently re-painted. Some of them have the practice nets separating the two courts so your balls stay close by (this is for newbs like me). The bathrooms are nearby and adequate. Nothing spectacular, but they work and have been clean when I've been there. Overall, great courts! I'd recommend.

There's a huge playground, splash pad, walking paths, sports courts, skate park, dog park, and plenty of open space to just relax. What I like most is that it never feels overly crowded or chaotic even when there are a lot of people there. It has a really laid back atmosphere and there's something for everyone whether you're bringing kids, skating, walking your dog, or just trying to get outside for a bit. In 1924, they donated eight acres of land along south Lake Conway "in consideration of the sun of $10" to Orange County, establishing the county's first public park. This donation was the foundation for what would later become Warren Park. For decades, this beachfront park offered a spot for folks to gather and visit with family and friends. Wilbur Warren also served as the first park commissioner when the Office of the Park Commissioner was established in 1926. In 1996, a park renovation added a dock for kayaks and paddleboards. Warren Park also has a rental pavilion, tennis and pickleball courts, picnic tables and grills, sand volleyball court, and a playground. A paved 0.3-mile walking path with exercise stations encircles the park. Note that the park is in two pieces. You have to cross the street to reach the smaller waterfront portion of the park. Warren Park is an important recreational resource for anyone seeking a peaceful retreat. The large shade trees are especially lovely but my favorite part might be the scenic lake view. My favorite part of the park were the paved walking paths that connect the different amenities in the park. The large size of Southport Park makes it ideal for annual events like the Orlando Renaissance Fair and Orlando Oktoberfest. Southport Park is a wonderful recreational resource for community sports, family gatherings, and walkers and jogger seeking a safe place to exercise. Come out for sports, fitness, and family fun. The thoughtful design, variety of amenities, and well kept outdoor spaces keep the Orlando community engaged.

As the name implies, this park is at its peak during azalea season, but don't be discouraged if these colorful blooms are till hidden- there is so much more to discover in this park. Take a walk along the path that meanders under the bridges and around the creek. You'll find tons of special spots where you'll want to pause, take a picture, and enjoy a moment of peace (just thinking about it is putting me in a zen mood!). The park also has a nice stage area which is small, but can be used as a wedding location (I've been a bridesmaid here!). I wouldn't recommend going to the park at night, as it doesn't have lights and can get a bit creepy, but during the day make sure to get your pup on a leash, pack a light lunch, and get ready for the best picnic ever!

I've also taken my nephew here to play. He enjoyed everything this park has to offer- watching the big kids play on the big kid playground, playing on the "little tikes" playground, pushing his wagon around the walking loop, watching some guys play basketball on the courts, and best of all, running around on the splash pad! He had a blast! This is an amazing community park!
