She came to evaluate the project personally, and took time to explain to us in considerable detail what the job would entail. The next day she emailed her proposal via a system on which we could make any adjustments, and authorize the job electronically. This was a welcome change from other service companies who have left us waiting for proposals, often indefinitely. Her crew was prompt, friendly, and showed great care in keeping our property neat and clean. Their prep work was extensive and meticulous - often manually scraping wood siding and eaves which are at least 25 feet high. Marge came to check on the progress throughout the project, and when we asked for a bit of additional work to be done, she worked it in seamlessly. This job had to be a challenge, to say the least. At our home's age, it is rare to find any straight, level or smooth surfaces. And yet the finished result is beautiful! The wood siding, eaves, and original windows all look brand new! We have since had Marge's crew back to do interior work as well, and the results are just as remarkable.

They didn't cover some of the windows before painting and got the over-spray on the windows, on lighting fixtures, on plants, and trim work. When they went to get extra paint they got the wrong color and were arguing with me that it wasn't wrong until I had to physically show them on a scrap piece of wood. They damaged my window screens with razor blades when removing the plastic covering when they did cover the windows. They used a power washer to rinse of my shrubs and ended up remove the leaves. They wouldn't perform work that was in the contract. They damage my stone walls when they walked on them after being told at the beginning of everyday to stay off the walls. I had to provide paint rollers because the crew didn't show up with them. You will be sorry if you hire these clowns.

He did an incredible job leaving a ton of texture and bare spots on every area that he worked on even though he told me he added more coats of paint than we agreed upon. The "pro" did not require to use tape on the entire trim and edges and left everything crooked! The amount of respect he'll show your newly bought home will shock you. He was very good at constantly calling and texting me to pay him after I escorted his things out with "the boys in blue". He initially preferred to give the quote over the phone, but I insisted on an in-person visit. At that meeting, they quoted $800, plus an additional $50 to spray "Wet & Forget" on the shed roof. However, the invoice they left was for $1,200. When I called to question the discrepancy, he told me I was wrong and implied I had misunderstood him (his exact words were much more insulting than that)-- which was both insulting and inaccurate. I took notes during the quote and have no doubt about what was said. Beyond the pricing issue, the work was subpar: He completely skipped a large section of one deck. He did not power wash the back side of the garage. He failed to move furniture or other items out of the way, instead washing around them. Several small plants were killed by careless water blasting. Unfortunately, I did not get the quote in writing, so I'll pay the invoice -- but I'm left frustrated, disrespected, and extremely disappointed. I would not recommend his services to anyone.

I hired Dr Roof N Shine in June 2024 primarily to clean out our gutters but also to powerwash the…read moreroof and siding. After leaving a voice mail, Frank called me back within a day or two, had a good conversation about what we needed, and he promised somebody would come over by the end of the week. Sure enough, a few days later I got a phone call saying they were doing a nearby job the following day and would like to stop by when it was convenient. I forget the gentleman's name, but the next day he arrived when we agreed, we spoke for 10 mins or so as he scoped out the property and the job, and he explained Frank would call back to get me on the schedule. Frank called back soon after, and we scheduled the job maybe two weeks later, toward the end of June. On the appointed day, the crew showed up about 8am, did their job, cleaned up, and was done by noon. While the house looked great, we were most concerned with our gutters. There was one dam in the front and another in the back, causing a waterfall. My biggest concern was water backing up and seeping into the attic. After Dr. Roof N Shine's work, I'm happy to report that there is no more damming in my gutters and water is flowing to the down spouts as expected. I used somebody else a few years ago and while the ultimate job was fine, the interactions I had left a lot to be desired, not to mention the cigarette butts in my front landscaping and sidewalk. My experience this time around with Dr. Roof N Shine was much more positive. The interactions were timely and professional, and the work was solid. I highly recommend them and would hire them again.

We found Fresh Home Painting by following a chain of trust. We started with a roofer we trusted, who recommended a general contractor, who in turn called in a painter he trusted. This was no small job. We needed new windows stained (different colors in different rooms to match exiting cabinets and woodwork), wallpaper removed, walls and ceilings painted, woodwork refreshed, our roof cleaned, and the outside of the house (aluminum siding) painted. Vince Bayeh came out with the GC, and we all worked together to decide exactly what needed to be done and how. We had already told the GC that quality was more important than speed or cost, and since we'd followed a chain of trusted professionals (who were transparent about their finders and referral fees) we threw ourselves on their mercy. Vince gave us a contract, not an estimate. It was a firm price for a detailed list of work to be done. We paid part when we signed the contract, part when work started, and the rest upon completion. We don't regret that one bit. Vince himself is a perfectionist, and so is his crew (up to five people, at some points). Vince and the GC spotted things on their final walkthrough that we would not have noticed for months, if ever, and they were fixed immediately. Vince assured us that if we had questions, we should call him and he would take care of it. We did have one issue, and not only did he come out the next day, but he took care of it himself in the same visit. I can't imagine a better experience.
