Amici's is the best Italian Bakery that I have visited in Florida. Everything that I tasted was incredibly fresh and had great flavor. Nothing was bland, stale or over baked. You will also get get service. They are attentive and friendly. The cannolis were amazing. I loved the filling and the shell was perfect. The custard in the eclairs was scrumptious and left you wishing for more. All of the Italian cookies were delicious and a must order for upcoming holidays. Their cheesecake was creamy and flavorful. I ordered an Italian Creme Cake for Mother's Day, picked it up Saturday, the day before Mother's Day and when I served it, it was all crumbs. Could not even cut a slice of cake, came out all crumbs. There've been rumors going around started by the owners where they're telling customers that I left the business and quit, but this is far from the truth. I want people to know that I did not quit, and was pushed out on Christmas Eve and told to go. Dissapointing ever since the Artisan baker Maria left. Quality of the pastries diminished dramatically, many not fresh.

We purchased cookies and pastry. All items were undercooked, soggy, wet, and cold. None of the items required refrigeration, the quality has gone down hill fast. Expensive. Poor quality. Won't be going back. They used to be wonderful, not any more. I do not recommend them. read more

Can not say enough good things about this bakery. My husband and I drove up to the bakery not realizing that the bakery closed at 3:00. We then asked about the bakery at the Amici restaurant and they had the manager open the bakery just so we could get some pastries. The manager was very sweet and did not make us feel like we were bothering her( which we did because we were there after it closed). Several others also came in after we left and she graciously waited on all of them after hours. It took use an hour s drive to get there but well worth it. My husband and I stopped on the side of the parking lot and ate our cake, absolutely delicious! Our Cassata cake was not too sweet , firm but tender, cannoli filling was perfect! I guess I keep going back in hopes that one day that the service will be as nice as the cannoli cream! Mrs. Mussolini and her minion should really stay in the kitchen. Never have I been greeted, or responded to when I have walked into the bake shop and said "hello,and mentioned how great it smelled in here" What a horrible feeling it is when you are so excited to have found a little piece of home, and you are made to feel so unwelcome. Today was especially disturbing, as the minion was not in any mood to answer any questions. Jeez, it's not like the place was booming with business! My wife and I are always looking for great Italian bakeries and we're excited after reading the reviews on Amici's. Easter was coming and it seemed like a great time to try them out. The selections looked inviting in the cases and we bought a nice variety. Unfortunately when we served them on Easter, they were highly disappointing. We served lobster tails, St. Joseph pastries, cookies and Easter bread. The lobster tail and St. Joseph shells were of good quality, but they put cannoli filling in both which is wrong. Lobster tails are supposed to have a creamy vanilla pastry filling rather than the cannoli filling. It seemed like they made one cannoli filling and shoved it in everything. Never had a lobster tail with cannoli filling anywhere period. The Easter bread was hard and not fully baked. This did not work at all. The butter cookies were ok, but not the flavor of real Italian cookies. It was disappointing. No excuse for putting out poor substitutes or hard dried out baked goods.
