Absolutely yummy baked goods - except the scones. They had a very non-scone texture. People were nice and had a great selection.

We had a lovely conversation with the owner and she recommended a few pastries. We ordered a ham & cheese stuffed croissant, the pistachio & raspberry croissant, and their almond croissant. They were all phenomenal! The savory croissant was packed with ham and cheese. The pistachio & raspberry was not sweet so it pairs perfectly with a coffee. My favorite was the almond croissant. Definitely the best I've ever had. The texture was almost cake like and the almonds were plentiful. I'll be stopping by their location the next time I'm in Orlando.

While they didn't receive the same level of viral eats that some other places have in Orlando, it absolutely should be in the spotlight. Having only been in Orlando for a short time, they have already won so many awards and received news recognition. The minute I walked in, the staff was very quick to attend to us and tell us about their pastry case and about the chef. He hails from Paris, France and trained under a French chef since he was 16. According to the bakery staff anyway It's very cutely decorated and there is nice instrumental music that plays through the whole bakery. They have tables for you to sit-down and order breakfast as well. So if you want to grab and go, you can. However, if you're there to enjoy and laze around with food, you can do that too. We ordered a classic French baguette, spiral laminated pastry with raspberry and pistachio, spiral laminated pastry with pineapple, a nordic quiche, and a latte. The staff was super sweet and nice and everything came out very quickly. They even offered to wrap the baguette and hold it for me until we left since I wanted to take it to go. The pastries were absolutely delicious. Very flaky, crispy, and buttery bread that pairs really nicely with the raspberry and the pistachio. I would rate it a 10/10. I think it was that good. Like hands down. The nordic quiche was also excellent and is a quiche with cheese and smoked salmon and comes with a side salad and balsamic vinegar. The nordic quiche was a 9.5/10. The latte was a 7/10. Now, the baguette. They had two different ones, one that Americans are more familiar with and one that is a classic French one. The classic French one was more crispy but softer interior. I had ordered it to go and it was a long baguette that only cost $3. I literally ate the whole thing before my day was over. Didn't even make it that long. I think we paid about $30, without tip. It was most definitely worth it. My overall rating is a 9/10 and I loved it. I can't wait to come back. I highly recommend it to everyone.

**INITIAL REVIEW**…read more North Indian River County, specifically Sebastian and Fellsmere have a very limited kava community scene. As a matter of fact, I can boldly say as of the publication of this review, the only mainstream kava business this area has is in Riverview with an Island Root Kava, which happens to be the biggest kave organization in the United States at least. And though I have no issues with Island Root Kava, I prefer local mom n' pop kava bars, and fortunately for Sebastian, they have one, Valhalla Coffee & Kava (which I will shorthand simply to Valhalla for the remainder of this review). Yes, by its name, Valhalla is also a coffee shop, but they also serve tea - both traditional and kratom - food, and also a vape shop. Given how small Sebastian is compared to other communities/towns in Indian River County, Valhalla being a "one-and-all" stop for these specific genres of business seems to work tenfold for them. Valhalla is located in the heart of residential Sebastian, right between the businesses close to I-95 (just east of the interstate) and Riverview which is also Downtown Sebastian. They are the eastern-most business in a small multi-business building which consists of them and two or three other businesses including a church. You will also know it is the right place as there is a fountain in the center of a very little "courtyard." Valhalla is quite a small place compared to other kava bars I have been to. I can even daresay they are smaller than my home kava bar, Kalea Kava. It works for them though as they are more than just kava (and kratom). They have a wide selection of coffee and traditional teas, and food, especially breakfast. Starting with their menu, I had a fair share of what they have to offer. For kava, most of what they offer are company products in which they provide for sale, but their two in-house kava shots, Odin's Nectar and Ragnar's Reef, are highly-concentrated kava shots with a lot of flavor. Pertaining to the "norm" menu items, their iced coffee is good for what they offer and they have numerous options to enhance the flavor including different sugars and syrups. So nothing unique, but you can make a simple iced coffee to your preference easy-peasy. And lastly, their food options are simple fair primarily on sandwiches. I had their grilled cheese and quesadilla and they are delicous. Simply made and priced well. I actually had to leave because I kept eating grilled cheese after grilled cheese after grilled cheese. I am a grilled cheese fiend. Ultimately, the biggest reason for me to come here is the community. Unlike other kava communities, this one definitely shows more unity given the fact that Sebastian is definitely more right-leaning. Yet despite where you stand, everyone is kind and respectable to each other, kind of like how it was amongst people in the 90s before political correctness became the cudgel for destruction it is today. Because of its position in the community it is in, I am giving Valhalla a four-out-of-five star rating for this review. If you every stop by, tell Carlin I said hello. He's usually the tender there when I arrive on Friday nights. And if Valhalla remains consistent with their wares and service, I will definitely update this review, giving them their fifth star for consistency.

There's almost always a line, but it moves fairly quickly, and honestly, it's part of the experience. You can watch the bakers adding the final, intricate touches to each dessert while you wait, which is really fun to see. They do offer a small selection of croissant sandwiches and specialty beverages, but for us, it's all about the desserts. From their signature creations to seasonal offerings, everything is visually stunning and (most of the time) absolutely delicious. That said, while most items are fresh and flavorful, we have experienced a few cakes that were a bit dry and seemed over baked. It's not the norm, but worth mentioning. Anyone else experience this? Yes, it's a little pricey--but it's Disney, and you're paying for both the quality and the experience. Overall, it's still one of our favorite stops every trip and well worth it if you're in the area.
