First and last time there. My wife and I visit many restaurants since we are food lovers. We were going to a sports bar in same plaza but decided to give this place a try for a change. I ordered a pizza and my wife wanted wings since they said they are award winning (we tried so many different in the area). I had to step out for a moment and while I was gone the wings came first... my wife called to let me know they were horrible and were not fried wings, they were soggy and baked with some type of garlic sauce. My wife asked the waitress if she can please exchange for different ones but she said she would have to ask the manager but at the moment he wasn't there. As soon as I returned I tried a small piece of one of the wings and thought they were not good and not what we thought we ordered. I tried the pizza which was good and by that time I had run out of soda. No one was coming around to ask if we needed refills or say anything about an exchange so I got up and went inside and asked if I could self serve from the soda machine and I refilled my drinks. As I walked out to table I kindly asked one of the waitresses (one dressed in black) if I could exchange the wings for different to which she replied no ! She said the reason was that the order is correct to which I replied that we did not like how they tasted and thought they were bad. I went ahead and finished eating my pizza and then I thought well maybe they can just credit them since we did not even eat them. My wife asked her and again it was a no! They went back and forth and I asked for the check and again I asked can she credit them. Again the same negativity and bad customer service. She went inside and as I looked they were laughing about it. Why would a restaurant "manager" act this way? Total fail. In the restaurant business you wanna make your first time customers come back for the good food and the service. This place gets an F. I took the plate of wings and flipped it upside down on the table and left. End of story. read more

Ok so I'm Italian and very picky about my pizza. The crust isn't too thick or thin, the cheese is layered just right, and the sauce!! Oh my the sauce has such great flavors it might as well be made by my grandmother. The staff that works there really makes me feel like I'm eating with my family. Boy are we glad we did!! The food was incredible, prices very reasonable, and Craig, one of the owners, treated us like we were family. Not to sound like a snob, or know- it-all, but I've been to every US state, and many, many cities, and have had pizza all over this great nation, (I think I was Italian in a former life), yes even in NYC, LA, and Chicago. I'm changing my review because the last time I came here I'm 100% sure they had already baked pizzas just sitting on racks that they would pop into the oven to heat up. I placed and order for pickup so there's no excuse for this. I know a reheated pizza when I see one. The cheese was tough and rubbery. My first visit here was good and I remember the pizza being fresh but I like consistency and don't want to roll the dice on getting a fresh pizza or not. Always ordered from here, because their food was always delicious. The last time we ordered pizza I was a little disappointed because it was a little greasier, and the cheese was a little chewy than it was normally. But I decided to give them a second chance and order for them tonight. I was so appalled by my treatment from the manager or at least she said she was the manager. I called to order and placed an order and then called five minutes later because I saw on their menu that there was a special and was told that I couldn't change my order to the special because they already made my food. when I asked how they made my food so quickly, I was told that they are slow. So now I know why they are slow because the manager has no customer service skills whatsoever. She even said I was breaking up when I asked to cancel my order altogether. I worked in the restaurant business as a manager for 9 years and I always try to treat this who do with respect because I understand the hard job that it is. I'm sorry she was having a bad day. Pizza is very tasty. However, the service was very disappointing. First, the pickup order for a one topping pizza was said to be ready in 20-30 minutes. I was there in 20 minutes and after paying, I waited 5 minutes before the pizza chef put my already-made pizza, that was sitting on a shelf with a bunch of already-made pizzas, in the oven to be heated up. Then, the website and menu show a price of $13.99 for a large pie, but they charged me $14.99. While I was waiting, since i had time to stand there in the empty restaurant for 5 minutes before they put my pie back in for reheating, I asked about the price. They said the changes went up but it's not reflected on the menu yet. Usually I would expect a restaurant or business to honor the advertised price when confronted about it. They didn't offer or suggest anything. Then, the charge for an entire topping was applied when we had the topping on half the pie. I know it's nitpicking, and I would order from here again, but I was disappointed because I expected much more from a local business. I did not push for any discount or deduction, so I cannot say they refused to honor it. But still, that should have been routine. Never had anything but pizza. Pizza is tasty. Great sauce. read more

I saw Amici's ad in one of those coupon ad pages and the fact it had high ratings on here plus it was a 7min drive for pick up I decided to give it a shot. I was debating between their Grilled Vegetable (zucchini mushroom eggplant onion) l or their margharita, both thincrusts. I asked to put fresh mozerella on the veggie one but it was $2 extra so I passed and chose the margharita. A small for 15.99 is pricey, for me at least, however because I am picky with my thincrusts I trusted that I'd be paying for quality. I must say I love the flavor of their pizza, the sauce, the cheese, just the right amount on basil, the taste of their dough and crust was delicious as well. However, I found the crust to be hard to chew. I got some nice crunchy parts but then the rest,such as the bottom, was not enjoyable to munch on. I've had thincrusts where they're able to balance between some crunchy parts and softer dough bottom. The small had 6 pieces, I ate half and got full. I also took out a Tiramisu, and unfortunately that only gets 3 stars. It has a strong liqueur taste, many might like that, but what really bothered me was the texture. Too much bready lady finger then the cream was too liquid. I'd like to think I'm a bit of tiramisu snob and know what a good one is. I like the marscapone to be thicker/fluffier and the whole dessert to have more coffee flavor. Because this place is so close, I would definitely come back and dine in with my bf and try out other items on their menu. Overall Amici's has one of the most flavorful thincrusts I've had in the area and recommend that others try this place out!! read more

I've come here for pick up twice - it's in a convenient location and easy to grab on a Friday night. Their margherita is where it's at - good mozzarella and lots of basil. Their crust is fresh and hand tossed in house so it has that good , random quality I love in pizzas where they aren't perfect circles. It's the place you don't leave the crust ends at. Their bread sticks were too tough and I wouldn't order them again - this place is all about the pizza. The normal pizza we ordered with black olives tasted amazingly like sbarros pizza in the mall with better crust. The cheese and sauce were amazingly reminiscent of Sbarro. I think the margherita is what I'll stick with. read more

What a great surprise this place was. We ended up there because the wait at duffy's was too long and I'm I glad that happened. We had the rice ball and it was outstanding also the marinara that comes to dip it in was as good. My fiancée ordered the mussels which are an appetizer as her entree and it was a very decent portion of some of the best mussels we ever had. I ordered the chicken smoked Gouda portobello panini and wow the flavors in that panini was amazing I could not stop eating it. It is a Wonderful Local Family owned Italian Restaurants where the Owner, Craig, comes out snd talks with you and his Daughter is very kind and attentive to making sure that your good is prepared just as your requested. I convinced my Wife to have dinner there this past Saturday Evening and their Antipasto Salad was very good no skimping on the generous portions of good quality Italian Salami, Cappicola and Han and their Pizza was Excellent with just the right juiciness, flavor and crispy crust. I grew up in Brooklyn with a neighborhood pizza parlor that served you slices from a window open to the sidewalk. Big, cheesy, thin and crispy slices. To me, of course, they made the best pizza in the world. In fact, almost all "sidewalk" pizza that I've had in New York was fabulous! Fast forward to Florida and after living here 30 years, I've only encountered 3 pizza joints that were a fair match to the NY pizza I grew up with. This place is one of them! It's not fancy and, like most places in NY, seating is limited and service is mostly confined to counter. But you can get one slice without having to buy a whole pizza to find out for yourself if you like it or not. The slices are large with just the right amount of sauce and lots of cheese. The crust is thin and crispy without their having to be told to make it so. This place knows how to make pizza a la New York! The first bit I had I closed my eyes and was transported back to my childhood. Naturally I ordered a couple of large to go. If you've ever eaten a NY pizza and want one while here in in Florida, this is the place! I'm glad I don't live so close to them that they'd deliver to me because I'd be eating those at least once a week if not more! It's worth the drive no matter where you live! Their pasta is amazing! My boyfriend and I love the pasta (which we saw on one menu online but can't find it anywhere else) with a cream sauce, chicken, broccoli and mushrooms. We don't eat Italian very often, but when we do, we eat Amicis. Their pizza is a thinner crust which I'm not typically a fan of but the flavor of their pizza is really good.
