3 sisters burrito and chicken enchiladas. Also, they're green salsa, which comes complementary with chips, is divine

Great experience, fresh & innovative food. So glad we checked it out I had the 3 sisters burrito, which was quite sweet, so I'd order something different next time. Highly recommend Amigo Cafe

Stop for Navajo taco ... or something else.... On your way to or from a national park or Monument Valley and ready to eat? This is my go-to place to eat when in Kayenta, and can be yours also, if you love Navajo-Mexican food! The chips and spicy salsa were enjoyed while our chile relleno and Navajo taco were prepared... wow! Both meals had plenty of delicious hot food; I shared some of my taco's fry bread with my friend... it was so good! We liked the service from the moment we arrived at the place to the food on our table! All was very comfortable. We will be back! We had pink lemonade... reminder to all... no alcohol allowed on the Navajo reservation. Go enjoy the food! They're expanding seating area ... look forward to seeing it my next visit.

Service was outstanding and the food was phenomenal. I order the Tres Enchiladas and my hubs got the Navajo Taco. Both were incredibly delicious!

We stopped here for a late lunch on our way to Monument Valley. We tried the Navaho Taco and the three enchiladas entrees and found them tasty and different from anything we'd eaten in Wisconsin! The taco was made with native flatbread and is definitely worth trying. I had the chicken enchiladas with red sauce and wasn't disappointed. It had the right amount of heat without being bland. The service was good but they serve many customers in a small area. The cafe can be a little noisy when filled, so know that going in. We ended up going there on our way back south too!

Great service and very flavorful food! Staying in Monument Valley--amazing views but the food at hotel not so amazing. This came recommended so we drove 17 miles and it was worth it! Hubby had Blue Corn burger with blue fry bread. I had Tres Enchiladas and they were tasty. Would highly recommend everything from this place. Very nice atmosophere. Go here!

Besides fast food places to eat are very limited in this area. We were staying at the Goulding Lodge and honestly I'm was not I. The mood for any of their food. So on our way there we decided to have dinner here and I'm glad we did. With time in hand. I searched Yelp and the reviews got me. We arrived and there was no one waiting outside, but the place was full. You need to wait outside or you can write down your number and they'll give you a call. We waited about 30 minutes to be called inside. It was so nice and cozy inside. The little fire place was running. It was perfect. I had the three sisters burrito. It's basically a veggie burrito smothered in their mole salsa. It was delish. My daughter had the pork taquitos and my husband combination plate. We started with the chips and salsa. The salsa was pretty spicy. I thought the chip serving was rather small compared to our local neighbors. Everything wet had was delish. We were all pleased with our meal after being on the road so long. We ended with the apple pie nachos. Super good. I strongly recommend. It was so good we came back for breakfast. I started off with the Red Chuli Chai latte. So good and spicy. I had the huevos rancheros. They were pretty good and they were served with a giant flour tortilla. My husband the the omelette. He was so satisfied. My daughter had the blue corn waffle. She was happy camper too. Next time you are on your way to Monument Valley or just passing through Kayenta you must stop here. The food is really good.

Wow, this place is great! Located in a very small town, we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and service. We ordered their chimichanga with shredded beef and Navajo taco, both delicious. The Navajo flat bread is not made with lard, instead vegetable shortening, making it easier for us to eat. The bread was pillowy and tasty on its own, even better with the taco toppings. Also complimentary are their chips and salsa, which both tasted great. At the end we ordered their orange spice latte, which was tasty as well. Ambiance was simple and clean, and service was kind and helpful. For our NYE dinner, this place hit the spot!

Coffee closes at 5PM which is a bummer. The blue chip with salsa was flavorful. The navajo burger was a nice twist, too big of a portion for one person. Shrimp with Navajo bread was tantalizing, elote rib was pretty good. Not expecting this quality here!

We always stop here when doing a Monument Valley trip. Food is decent and ambiance lovely. Satisfied with service. The cafe is small so be prepared for a wait depending what time you go. Always go back here when I'm in the area

I recently visited Monument Valley & the Arizona portion of the Navajo Nation to celebrate a personal milestone. I stopped by Amigo Cafe in Kayenta for dinner while I was in the area, and I was completely blown away by the entire experience. Amigo Cafe is a Navajo-owned restaurant that also has a coffeeshop on site. Their menu is a mash up of Navajo and Southwestern cuisine, and the space is thoughtfully decorated with plants, art, and a mixture of woods that evokes warmth and comfort. It was just what I needed after my hike at Monument Valley to round out the celebratory experience. Service at the restaurant was satisfactory during my visit and the dining room quickly filled up with what appeared to be a mix of tourists and local families from the area. The restaurant was actually on a wait when I left around 6 pm Arizona Time. For my meal, I ordered the Navajo Chalupa that came with blue corn fry bread, grilled shrimp, arugula, radish, cilantro, mango pico de gallo, scallion avocado aioli, and cilantro vinaigrette. The zesty ingredients from the chalupa packed a mighty punch that worked in perfect harmony with the crunchy and creamy elements in the chalupa. The hot and cold ingredients also perfectly complemented one another. I'm sure it's hard to tell from this review (/s), but this ended up being one of my favorite (Top 10) meals of 2024. In addition to the Navajo Chalupa, I also ordered a Buzzy Bee coffee drink. That was another home run! Final rating: 10/10

This family owned cafe is a hidden gem! Waited in the patio area to get seated for about 5-10 minutes. The waiters were attentive and when we told them we were on a bit of a time crunch, they sped up the service for us. We got the el combination plate which came with green chile enchilada sauce, pork tamale, beef taco, cheese enchilada, bean tostada, rice, beans, chips & amigo salsa! Very yummy and I enjoyed the pork tamale the most! Also tried their caramelized sandstorm coffee and it was delicious too.

Great service and great food! I was pleasantly surprised with the friendliness of staff and the quality eats! It's a quantity little spot that was doing a brisk business and I can understand why! If your passing through give them a try!

Dropped by during our road trip because it was the only restaurant in town really that was still open. We got there around 7:30 PM and managed to get our names on the waitlist which they took away around 7:45 PM. We had to wait around 20 minutes for a party of two. The restaurant is definitely on the smaller size so keep that in mind when coming to dine - you may have to wait a bit especially with a larger party. I got the fry bread chalupa and my boyfriend got the three sisters burrito. Both were DELICIOUS! And very unique - I never had anything like that before but the taste was so good. The mole was creamy and packed with flavor. The amigo fries were good too but I will say they were on the small end. Overall, would recommend!

Since we had a long day ahead of us on the road, we needed to grab breakfast and didn't want to waste time finding a place around, which is few and far between! Therefore, here we were at Garcia's. The menu featured a handful of basic breakfast items. My partner had an omelette, which came with hash browns while I had the blue corn pancakes. When our plates arrived, I had no idea the pancakes were gigantic and there was a stack of three of them! I barely made a dent in them, so we took the pancakes for leftovers, which we snacked on for our road trip! For the pancakes, they provided packaged syrup, which I wasn't a fan of. But I actually liked the pancakes on their own, as I could really taste the blue corn. Overall, this is a fine restaurant for breakfast. It's here to primarily serve the hotel guests and perhaps those visiting Canyon De Chelly. But there's nothing special here. It's your standard fare.

Had a very good roast mutton sandwich on fry bread with lettuce, tomato, green onion and chili slice. The mutton strips were cooked on a grill. The fry bread was freshly made. Excellent flavors. The mutton was not as tender as others I have had but all good. There are no tables or chairs so it is tailgate time. Visited by many locals. You need pay correct cash. So we took a drive to the road that takes you to the Chinle Hospital. Just as you turn at the light, just to your right is a small food truck like place where the Burrito Lady has her business. We walk up to the trailer, looked at the menu that sits right next to where you order. I saw the Roasted Mutton Sandwich, so we both ordered it. She asked us if we wanted it on a tortilla and fry bread, so we both said fry bread, and ordered our drink as well. The Roasted Mutton Sandwich is comes folded like a taco on Indian fry bread, stuffed with the Roasted Mutton, long slices of green chili, green onion, and tomato. What made this sandwich taste so good is the flavor of the Roasted Mutton, and of course the Indian fry bread. For those of you that have never had Mutton, you have to understand that it is fully cooked, and is an acquired taste. I first had Mutton in Tuba City at their daily swap meet at noon. It was grilled and was filled with similar like this one in Chinle. The way they cook it makes it real tasty. This is my story on my special lunch in Chinle. Hope some day you have an eating experience like mine.
