Amigos on west coddington is horrible. the last 4 times they have either gotten our order wrong or it is missing items. never get what we pay for anymore. they also never sent us anything for the missing food that we paid for like they said they would. read more

Cinco de Mayo during the coronavirus was saved by the fabulous food from our local Amigos!!! We picked up instead of delivery which saved us about $25. we had the Mexican lasagna, it was crazy good!! the crisp crab Rangoon burritos were out of this world! And of course $5 for 5 Tacos never disappoints!! read more

Ordered a crisp meat and soft taco, soft taco was almost 4 dollars on its on (11 total, so almost half the bill without tax) and it was half the size of a standard soft taco from Amigos. If you have to charge more bc of inflation, you have to maintain quality and portion size otherwise it's a complete rip off. Very disappointed. Won't be spending my money here anymore. read more

Where do I begin? Walked in the door and the first thing I see is a sign pointing left for inside dining and use phone to order. Call me naive' but it never occurred to me they didn't mean use THEIR phone but rather my cell phone. The counter was empty, the dining room had one couple in it, three people were roaming behind the counter and they want me to use a phone? So I just walked up to the counter. Waited. Finally a guy who didn't seem to understand the computer came up. I ordered two enchilada dinners. Cheese or meat, he asked. Again, naive' as I am I said chicken. I asked for an extra enchilada for each meal. I ask whether the dinner comes with chips. No, he says, $1 extra. OK. Where is my credit card receipt ($21)? Will bring it with my order, he says. Order is brought to table. No receipt. Woman had to reconstruct my order to provide one. Where is my second enchilada I ordered? Oh, those are an additional $6 each. The full meal is $6.99. Forget it. Didn't get my chips. A bag was placed in front of me on the counter. On the table is a QP to scan to place your order. A menu lies on the table with instructions to use your cell phone to order. Five freaking steps including provide a credit card number to order. Remember, the empty counter is maybe 25 feet from our table. By now we are the only people in the dining room. This is during the supper hour. Clearly they do not want dining room customers but rather pickup or drive up. The food? Meat means some ground something. Tasteless. Could have been anything that looks meatlike. Chips? no salt, bland and no salsa included. Just dry chips. Beans and rice were the high points. I hadn't been in an Amigo's in 15 years. Blame Covid for bad food and service? An excuse too far. I won't even imagine coming back in another 15 years. read more

I am absolutely not going to be ordering amigos from a QR code on a table. You are a fast casual restaurant- with local employees. Have your staff work the counter, run credit cards and provide customer service. If I wanted an impersonal taco experience I would go to a national or Midwest chain. read more

I grew up eating at this Amigos and used to love it. However, it has really gone downhill... The last few times I ate here, the restaurant was very dirty. Even though it was mostly dead and there were several workers standing behind the counter chatting with each other, I could not find a clean table in the whole place, and the floor was littered with food and straw wrappers. During my last two visits, I was given trays with dirty tray liners. It was obvious that they had not put new ones on, so my food was put on top of someone else's dried food. When I pointed this out, they apologized and replaced the food that had touched the dirty tray liners. However, I still managed to end up with food poisoning both times. (I am certain it was food poisoning because the people that accompanied me on these trips ate most of the same things as me and also ended up with food poisoning). This USED to be a great place to eat, but now I wouldn't recommend it to anyone... unless you like having food poisoning. read more

Worst Amigos in lincoln. Undercooked tots and overcooked cheesy. Came through the drive-through and the put an open ranch cup in my bag which spilled on everything. The cheese cup for the crisp meat was about 50% water. Overall poor service from the staff. The poor girl in the drive thru had trouble speaking English and didnt know what napkins were. When I went inside to get a new ranch cup, the girl behind the counter acted inconvenienced. Avoid this Amigos. read more

I went to Amigos to order food. When the woman began to speak she sounded very grumpy. Then as we were ordering she continued to sound irritated with us. We order 4 burritos and one kids meal. When we got to the window to pay she continued to be rude. She told us our total and it sounded really high for what we ordered. Well it was because we were charged for 4 kids meals and 4 burritos. She never read our order back to us to make sure it was correct. She just swiped the card. So I went back in told them that my order was wrong. The only reason I give two stars is because they fixed the order for me. I work in a restaurant and customer service is number one. read more

I had a bad experience at another Amigo's location several months previously (see my previous Amigo's review), and didn't really want to go into this location, but it was convenient and I needed some wireless internet. I should have listened to my instinct and gone down the road to McDonald's. Instead, I went in here and was immediately hit by the stench of sewer gas throughout the restaurant. I was going to order a coffee, but didn't want them to make me anything in the back, so I just ended up getting a water out of the soft drink machine. When I sat down to use the internet, it was broken and I couldn't get service. As I was about to pack up to leave, the barely-speaking-English clerk comes up to me with a bowl of mints and asks me if I want one. I realize this was a nice gesture, but it took all the restraint in the world to not ask her if she realized the entire restaurant reeked of sewer gas and to tell her the internet did not work. Since Amigo's had wasted enough of my time by now, I just left. Even the Winchell's donuts don't look like anything special. I really can't bring myself to try the burgers and fries at Kings Classic after the two run-ins I've had with its pitiful cousin, Amigo's. read more

Zero stars if I could have. My family and I just had the worst experience today. First, while ordering other customers were complaining about missing food. Then we had to clean our own table because they were all dirty. When our food came we were missing food as well. The young man apologized and said he would get it. After ten minutes, I went up front and asked about the food. They had forgotten about it. We had to ask for Ranch because the container was empty. The trash in the trash can was over filling in the trash cans. My wife tried to use the restroom and there was no toilet paper in the womans restroom. I spoke to the young man in charge(Jake) which apologized, but had a hard time at it. read more

I'm generally not a fan of fast food, but sometimes it is what you need at the time. Amigos is one of the few places I go when I make the fast food choice because the food is pretty consistent and I like to support local businesses. This location tends to be clean with friendly staff. I enjoy their cheese frenchees, soft and hard shell tacos, nachos, and their build-it burritos. Their breakfast items are quite tasty (burritos and skillets) especially with the salsa. The only item that is hit or miss is the tater tots. Sometimes they are cooked perfectly, but I often find them to be overdone or double fried, like they tried to heat them up again instead of dropping new ones, but that just makes them hard and extremely greasy. This has happened frequently enough that I now forego ordering them most of the time. Also, if you order an item on special, make sure to check the price as there have been occasions where I was overcharged. In sum, it has its quirks but it is fast food and I tend to have a better experience here than other places nearby. read more

Employee Brent collects the trash, walks to the back with the trash and 10 seconds later is asked not to handle my food or the take out bag because he obviously didn't wash his hands, so he does the exact opposite of what he was asked and the argued that he had washed his hands -obvious lie no less, because he had no time to wash his hands in hot water with soap before returning from dealing with public trash before handling what he was specifically asked not to. The state is getting a call on this. read more
