The menu is big without being overwhelming! I got three tacos which were super filling. They have a self serve toppings bar with a ton of toppings to choose from. Although I love having the freedom and all the options of a self serve toppings bar, it felt somewhat unsanitary as a lot of the tongs had fallen into the tubs and people had to reach their hands in to grab the tongs and would touch the food along the way. I still enjoyed it though and ate happily, but it just didn't feel very sanitary lol. One of the hot sauces was extremely spicy and I'd say I have a pretty high spice tolerance, but it got me. Me and my boyfriend literally just found out Los Gonzales closed () so we came here to get our birria taco fix! We went through the drive through and it was a bit of a wait. We also did not get what we meant to order... the online menu said that the taco tijuanas came with rice/beans but when we asked after receiving our order it was actually the COMBO that came with rice/beans and the taco tijuanas is just the birria tacos. idk whatevr i guess that was a mess up on our part but they should really correct it on the website to avoid any confusion lol the actual food was okay, i wish the birria and consume was more flavorful because it was pretty plain. nothing can beat los gonzales and ill be crying for the next week now that they're closed read more

The staff was very kind and helpful to help clarify if my Dad (who is deathly allergic to seafood and shellfish) could eat there. They let us know that the asada fries would be safe for him to eat and he loved them. He really raved about the carne asada. I liked my tacos tijuana but it wasn't the best birria I've had. It was nothing I was super impressed by and my Dad had really hyped this place up. The ambiance is very unique with the super bright colors and lots of their logos as well as words. They have a HUGE cold bar with lots of salsas, chips, beans, limes, and so many other toppings. The beans and rice were alright. It just wasn't anything that I would be excited for again or rave about. However, my Dad would definitely want to come back. WOW! Incredible, we went here on a Friday late lunch and found one of the last parking spots! This place was SO PACKED! The vibe is so fun and menu is extensive from tortas, quesadilla birria, birria tacos! I got Al pastor, birria, asada tacos! The Al pastor was salty, but asada and birria was amazing!! There were 4 of us intending to have dinner. The 2 of us had never heard of this place, although we were told the food was "good": It was a Saturday evening, about 7 pm. There is ample food given with each order. More than 2 of us could eat. I ordered a 'wet' burrito, my wife was looking for a chimichanga but they didn't have this. She settled for a type of taco. The couple we were with seemed to enjoy the place and the food. Our opinion greatly differed. Consider 'fast food' Mexican. Have been trying to think of something similar. Imagine Mexican McD. Set in a Sports Bar with several exciting football games on every screen. LOUD. So loud 2 of the 4 of us couldn't make out what was being said. The was genius. I had beef burrito. There was a very generous portion given, but whoever cooked the beef made sure it was fully cooked. However, while I don't like very spicy this had little a lack of flavor. Her opinion was the same. As we drove away, my question was.....would you want to go back there sometime? "NO"! Why? For the cost, which was about equal to a few Mexican places we do enjoy......why would I go someplace where the food is below average, by a great deal at the same cost. I rate this place a 4.25! There is a topping station where you can build your tacos the way you desire. There was radishes, cucumbers, red onions, white onions, sour cream, cheese, three kinds of salsa, and more. There was plenty of meat and more than enough food. We got 7 tacos, chips and salsa for 30 dollars. You are paying for the atmosphere and the sit down experience. The service was friendly and helpful. The food runners were polite and extroverted as well. The building was popping on the Friday night we decided to dine here. The only way this place could improve to a 5 is by improving their meat quality. I thought the steak was a little chewy. I prefer a more tender cut that is grilled well. Stopped by Thursday Dec 4th. Got a Tacos Mojados and other person had Tacos Tijuana. 2x Aguas Frescas. The gal at the counter said she'd get us my drinks and gave me the table number. I stood there for 10 minutes as she didn't bother with my drink order. I asked her and she said hold on let me get this order, and she proceeded to continue to forget. Food shows up after about 20 minutes. The Tijuanas was missing the rice and beans and limes. I got back up and begged for my drink. Food was good considering. Chip bar was out of refried beans. I think the food is very good just go in expecting to spend a little more than other places. They have a small food bar as well which is great for those sitting in but if ordering to go itll cost extra to take a box which makes me feel like im being penalized for not sitting in. Food is excellent. They have a great salsa variety! All of the people working there are really nice! What could use some help is the avocado salsa. It has little flavor, it needs a boost of avocado and some salt. And the music is far too loud. We tried sitting in a couple different places but we had to yell to talk to those sitting at our same table. The only reason I don't give it 5 starts is because of the loudness. I overheard each time we visited, people complaining about how loud it was. When we were there, I asked if they could turn the volume down and they did it right away! A lot of reviews have been saying that they are being overcharged but as soon as you get to the counter, there is a sign that says pay cash and save, they pass on the credit card fee to the customer. Cashier was rushing us from the moment we stepped up to the register, she took my husband's order for nachos 'is that all', took my rice bowl order 'is that all' no we need drinks.... Sit down to wait, husband's nachos come out with sour cream, our fault but young man says no problem I will get you new ones. 3-4 mins later our cashier comes over with the same nachos and says it's not her fault and hands us back the same nachos with sour cream that have been where for the last 3-4 mins?! This is a find. The street tacos are about $4 huge portion. Salsa bar biggest variety of fixings i have ever enjoyed. Hot hot sauce is a not killer hot but made me drink a bunch of water. We tried to go the first nights open, couldn't even park in the parking lot and there was a line out the door both times we tried. Finally went tonight and was a little disappointed. The tacos were good, full of meat and the broth had flavour. Our side of beans was ice cold. The decor is a little over the top and loud. I looked at my receipt after I sat down and noticed the prices on the receipt were higher than the prices on the menu board. Asked at the counter and the girl pointed at this little piece of paper taped to the counter that said they add 3.99% to all transactions. Needless to say we won't be back anytime soon, this is a pretty sneaky business practice as most customers wouldn't even notice this extra 4% padding to their profits. The food was bland and cold. What really was a turn off was the hidden service fee and the pressure when ordering to leave a minimum 15 % tip at the payment counter.
